Always put the volume button to the lock position when removing rear cover on 2ds xl for a few reasons

Appreciate the video, big help. The tiny clip on the ribbon cable snapped off on my device, I had to hot glue the ribbon cable down.

Did the new touch screen have an adhesive on it to stick it back in place for you or no?

Is the touch screen the exact same as the new 3DS XL?
I got a new 2Ds XL but the touch screen is not working right so I'm going to try to replace it and I'm having a hard time finding out if the touch screen is the same as the new 3DS XL or not if so do you know the best place to buy one?

They are different, I still haven't found a decent replacement, someone said I need a plastic one, not glass but can't find one so far!
Let me know if you can find one 👍

Bro I lifted the screen out and the touchscreen stayed in. I don’t know what to do from here.

Gently push the screen out? Probably stuck with tape

@@fixingmoddingbuilding thank you, it eventually did come out. But I have a question if it’s all right with you. At 6:12 you said you need to replace the adhesive, how would you go about doing that? Also, is it really that necessary? The only reason I ask is because that plastic bit that actually holds the screen in place wouldn’t that be enough to hold the thing together? I bought my 2DS XL off of eBay so I don’t really have that much experience with this. So any answers you could give me would be very helpful.

@@useryeeted4336 probably do need the adhesive to stop movement.
You can buy replacement tape, mobile phone double sided tape would work just check the width is not too big
