i had this exact same problem. My cable was bent upwards. I taped it down to the board to keep it straight.

I ended up swapping the screen but the new screen I got didn't have the same level of touch so just put this one back in

I haven't cemented it in, I haven't super glued it in, it's putty that's pushing the cable in a certain angle.
It easily comes out when a new screen needs to be fitted.
I have the screen but don't need to swap it yet.
As stated its a botch job but some people need to save every penny currently and if this works for them that's good.
I get stick for fixing an item by replacing a faulty part with a new part so tried to find a free alternative?

@@fixingmoddingbuilding oh okay I see then just thought you kinda locked it also i suffer from the same issue but expect the over for the top of where the ribbon cable is supposed to connect the cover broke off and don’t really know a way to fix the issue
