this is the type of notification I’m talking about! My bass boat restoration is in the middle of wiring. After that it’s motor time after nearly 4 years in the garage. Had the transom,stringers and floor replaced by Marinepro (so expensive) so it’s rock solid. I’m slightly disparaged by how long it has taken me and how it has nickle and dimed me to death. Only thing I need to order is guages thanks for the motivation

Yeah for sure.. I don't move like I did 15 or 20 years ago, which equates to more money or time for projects. Looks awesome, can't wait to see you ripping across the water with it up on the Pad!!

@@travisprice3368 I can see the light! Not much more to do, I hope to be done and waiting for the ice to melt so I don't miss any time this summer. The stereo is a Jensen marine head unit. Fits into a 3" gauge hole. I'll show more in the next video. It works great for me since you can completely control the unit via a phone app including turning it on and off, I never have to touch the unit itself. It also stores the presets without needing standby power, so I can completely disconnect the battery when not in use. The speakers sound great to me, there's four 6 1/2" Alpine marine speakers, they get plenty loud and have very clear sound, even aiming at the floor. I'm actually looking at where I could hide a subwoofer as it could use more bass.
@@TNels Seeing your progress is uplifting. It will all be worth it so very soon. Mine is registered and the trailer is completely re-furbished. I glassed in a custom casting deck and did a nice pad/carpet job. 6” jackplate on 17’ boat. Should be fun!
When is part 3 coming out , I’m ready to see that thing in the water. I’m currently working on a 1996 sunbird fish n ski and I’m almost there. It’s nothing as in-depth as your build. And again awesome work.

I'm kind of a gauge nut, as you can see haha. Other than the trim gauge I reference them all quite regularly. For bare minimum I would say a water pressure and tach are necessity. You can go without a speedo. With a water pressure a water temp isn't as important, but I like to have it to know when its up to temp and I can start to hammer on it.
I had sheet metal formed to match the original profile then used a shrinker stretcher to form it to the hull, welded them together and glued it on. I have a video of doing that and building a fuel tank here. ruclips.net/video/_4M8vYtjyl4/видео.html
Sorry I just saw this comment, Zak. I used a 4" wide paint brush and cut 4 "fingers" for lack of a better term into it. Dipped it into the gelcoat and just flung it around. I do have video here, I just don't explain it in the video. ruclips.net/video/u6cxhljBN2w/видео.html
