      The easiest place that I have found to download macOS Sierra (or any version of macOS) is from archive.org. I have included a link to download the macOS Sierra (archive.org/details/macossierra_202112) . On the right side of the page (about half way down the page), you can click on ISO Image to download macOS Sierra. Then you should be able to follow along with the video to make the installer. 😉
      Let me know if you have any problems and I will be glad to help.

      If you need to reinstall macOS on your Mac without a USB, you can follow these steps to get your Mac back up and running. Turn your Mac on and hold down one of these key combinations in order to reinstall macOS on your Mac.
      1. Command+R - This will startup from the built-in macOS Recovery System that is on the recovery partition on your drive in the Mac. Use this key combination to reinstall the latest macOS that was installed on your system.
      2. Option+Command+R - This will startup from macOS Recovery over the internet. Use this key combination to reinstall macOS and upgrade to the latest version of macOS that’s compatible with your Mac.
      3. Option+Shift+Command-R - This will startup from macOS Recovery over the internet. Use this key combination to reinstall the version of macOS that came with your Mac or the closest version that’s still available.
      If you have any problems with booting to any of these options or getting your Mac back up and running, please let me know. I will be glad to help you get it working again 🙂

      @IT101  8 месяцев назад +1

      A couple things I would check to help resolve the problem with your Mac not recognizing your flash drive.
      1. Rebuild the flash drive with the steps in the video one more time to make sure the installer is working properly.
      2. Try a different (even new if you have one) flash drive to put the macOS installer on. Then try booting again.
      3. Make sure the flash drive is plugged directly into a USB port on the Mac and not a USB hub connected to the Mac.
      4. Zap the PRAM by shutting down the Mac (or turning it off), turn the Mac on and immediately Press and Hold Command+Option+P+R on your Mac Keyboard, continue to hold the keys until the Mac chimes 3 times, then let go of the keys and hold down the Option key on your Mac Keyboard. See if the flash drive shows up now.
      5. Reset the SMC for your Mac by following the instructions on this page, support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295.

    I have a question.I have a late 2013 IMac and want a 10.13 version (I have a 10.12.6 version) but i cant find any upgrades on the app store what should I do?

    • @IT101
      @IT101  8 месяцев назад +1

      If you have the Mac App Store on your Mac, then you should be able to follow this link (macappstores://apps.apple.com/app/macos-high-sierra/id1246284741?mt=12) and download the macOS 10.13 High Sierra Installer onto your Mac and install it (which will upgrade your macOS 10.12 Sierra to macOS 10.13 High Sierra).
      If for some reason the above link is giving you trouble, you can download the full installer from archive.org at this link (archive.org/details/macOS.High.Sierra.10.13.6).
      Please let me know if you still have problems after trying both of those and I will be glad to help you get the installer. 😉

    I'm having trouble with my macbook pro mid 2010. I started with cmd R to reinstall os High Sierra on it and we had a power cut, the macbook shut down without completing and now I'm stuck. When trying to switch it on I only get a grey file with ? so I used one of your other videos to download OS High Siera and tried installing (when booting it with power button and option key) it only shows the usb and not the Mac OS HD. I continue to install and after almost completing the installation it gives error saying the installation couldn't be completed. I then used disk utility and tried to format (erase) the Mac OS HD but that also gives error saying erase process failed. Please help!!!

    • @IT101
      @IT101  3 месяца назад

      If the Mac does not have an operating system at the moment, then you will want to check if the Mac is compatible with macOS Sierra. If the Mac is compatible with macOS Sierra, then you can create a bootable flash drive installer of macOS Sierra by watching this video. Then you can boot to the flash drive and install Sierra on your Mac.
      Everything should work as expected as long as the Mac supports macOS Sierra. 😉
      I hope that helped. If you do have any more questions, please let me know and I will be glad to help you 🙂

      Absolutely! If you make the installer flash drive in this video, then you should be able boot your Mac to the flash drive. Then you will need to format the hard drive in your Mac (and possible change the date back to February 2017 - or any date after September 2016) and then you can install macOS Sierra on your Mac.
