I tried to reset my MacBook Pro back to factory as I was planning on giving it to my granddaughter but in the middle of doing so it basically loaded about 3/4 of one of the loading bars and then it shut down I waited for 10 or 15 minutes and it did never come back on or start again so I’ve tried multiple things asking people that own a MacBook Pro and watching RUclips and talking to people and pretty much everybody was telling me I need a new hard drive because it wouldn’t let you do anything with this one until I seen this video and I was like what the heck i’ll go ahead and try it, I could not believe how simple it was and it fixed the problem so I just wanted to say thanks you are awesome but a lot of these videos don’t do anything and might even make it worse but I highly recommend this guy because he definitely knows what he’s talking about now my MacBook is up and running faster than ever thumbs up A+++ and thank you so much for Sharing your knowledge :-)

@@Techable-com I erased my disk and couldn’t connect to internet to recover or reinstall. I try to do it every time I get error code 2006f when I try to recover and use internet connection sift at McDonald’s
Go into disk utility,, tap the very first Apple file and erase but change the format to “exFat” and erase and u should see a disk popped up as untitled.

I was just saying the exact same thing mine has been broke down couldn’t do anything with it tried all the RUclips videos but last night I happened to see this video and I had my computer up and running and updated with new software within the hour it seems like it is faster than it was and works perfect but most of them RUclips videos didn’t help this one he needs to charge for his service after seeing his reviews I would’ve gladly paid a fee But he does it for free but he is the real deal and what he says actually works :-)

I recently upgraded to a 1TB SSD, but couldn't remember how to reinstall the OS. This video helped me do that. Very easy and simple instructions. you now have a new subscriber.

Great video, tks! But, does it automatically recognize the internet connection? Does it try to connect to the last network before shutdown as it normally do when we power it on?
My brother you save my life as I was becoming stressed as I thought I tried everything until I stumbled up on your video. Combo keys Command+Option+R did it for my MacBook air. I have been using command + R and kept getting the same error even when I used an external HD. 2 days of continuous stress is over all courtesy of Doctor Techable.

Great and quick info, just one question, if I install or reinstall an iOS I will not lose any data.... Right? I have an iMac with a corrupted Catalina and I can use finder to make a backup... Any suggestions? Thanks
For me this didn’t work. I had to create a partition, partition 1, then journal it and then where it says options click guide then hit the button at bottom right. (I forgot) back out to the screen where it allows you to add software and it should be good from there
You are the first one who has said which commands do what. I’m trying to go from Big Sur back to Catalina, with a Time Machine backup. I’ve watched 20 or 30 videos and the problem is I go around in circles. I want a backup from a month ago, not the latest one. Can’t select it in TM, among other things. At one point, I thought I had it, but got the prohibitory symbol the next morning so I installed Catalina again and will try Migration Assistant without the system, rather than just opening Time Machine. Hope I can get to the older backup. Thanks for the great video.

I’ve tried EVERY method so far a none have worked for me. I have a wireless keyboard and I believe it makes the Bluetooth connection way to late to register the key press. I’m running out of patience.
None of these worked for me. I didn't see any startup disk or disk utility at all. Only the internet recovery option was visible. Clearly my Mac was unable to detect the hard drive at all. Turns out, the issue was with the transfer cable of the hard disk, not with the hard disk itself. Phew. Got a replacement HDD transfer cable off Amazon for 20dollars and it worked. No data loss and back to normal usage!

No, you will not lose any data if you don’t use disk utility
