Very impressed with the image quality (apart from the banding issues) and especially impressed with the audio quality. I think this product is one to wait and see how the firmware updates fix things. Its expensive but if they fix the banding I think its one you could buy and get many many years out of it.

Is it Windows Hello? I accidentally heard it also works with their Dating App hahaha Great Work Lon!
It does not currently have windows hello Compatibility
5/2024: Use this mounted on boom arm with blue yeti mic, with LeD light. All on 1 desk mounted arm, with pole attatchements 1/4" tripod mount hole. With a GOOD boom arm, no issues with vibration, and very flexible.
The one issue I have with this webcam/camera (I just bought it myself), is that it currently doesn’t support Windows Hello. The previous generation of top of the line Logitech cameras had this and I don’t see authentication technologies going away, workplace or home.
That's a shame. For those where Hello is needed more than 4k I'd go for the Lenovo performance FHD, often goes on sale for less than $50.

Lon, any plans to review the new Elgato Facecam Mk 2? Or the Facecam Pro Mk 2, when that inevitably comes out?
I’ll probably take a look if I can get a review unit. There’s a bigger market for the Logitech camera so this review will be more viable.
Outdoors was great
Not a fan of all that aggressive post processing but its good you can turn the auto exposure, low light and hdr off. For a more accurate image. Although a older DSLR and cheap HDMI to USB capture card will give you superior video quality and the ability to use different lenses.
Any hope for Linux compatibility? (Software that takes advantage of all the features. )
I bought the C920 about 12 years ago for $70 on sale marked down from $99 SRP. I'm disappointed, and a little surprised, that they still haven't managed a 4K camera in the sub $100 price point after all these years.

The banding is a deal breaker for me. Obviously It might not affect everyone in every situation, but I'm not going to spend that much money on it if there's a chance it will look as bad as that. It's a shame, because as you say, the overall image quality and features are great.
It’s really disappointing .. I was on a call with it yesterday and it was visible there too. Hopefully the firmware rectifies it.

Forget Logitech. When I "upgraded" my computer to Win11 my Logitech camera was no longer recognized by Windows. Tried everything to get it going, no go. They're stuff is generally cheaply made and is worn out just after the warranty date.
Elgato's new Facecam MK2 absolutely crushes this for $50 cheaper. Sure it doesn't do 4K, but the picture quality still outweighs these middling Logitech cams.
It also doesn’t have a microphone

Apparently Windows 11 will have the ability to use an Android phone as a webcam similar to how an iPhone can be used as a webcam for the Mac.
I bought this camera a couple days ago and I'm thinking of returning it because it didn't come with new updated "Logi Capture" type software to record with. Logi Capture is no longer being supported, and it doesn't recognize this camera. I detest OBS with a passion, and am having trouble finding a reason to keep a $200 camera that didn't come with actual recording software that works with it. Any thoughts? I tried recording with "Windows Camera" and it looked like crap. The Brio MX looked good when I recorded a standalone video using Streamyard, but I prefer to use Streamyard for its intended purpose of livestreaming, not recording videos for youTube.
Have you tried vmix ? That’s what I use for production it’s great but a bit pricey.

I have seen a webcam review after almost 7 years! I use my smartphone as an HD/4k webcam with the Iriun Webcam app. Why waste tons of money on something that dies in low light?!
To be honest, it's nothing special in these days! Logitech had really the best Webcams many years ago but nowadays they are just too expensive for being just average...
These "Premium" webcams are often disappointing.
200$ is too expensive for a webcam
There's probably business people who make a ridiculous amount of money who would pay double that for a really high quality webcam without thinking twice about it

Mets fans can’t afford this is they bet all their money on a 24 ws win.
This cam is crap. I use a dongle on my Mac laptop, and they require you to use the port on your laptop, I use a dongle to support a larger monitor.
