Great video, thank you. I use a webcam for work and already have the brio 4k but need a second webcam. Was gonna update to the new one but definitely just gonna repurchase!

This is a really good review, great job. I ordered mine yesterday and it's currently siting in a BestBuy locker for me to pick up, but I'm too lazy lol. Thought I'd get to know the camera via a comprehensive review first before getting my hands on it. The low light image quality is way better than its predecessor, and you can really hear the difference in the mics in terms of voice quality. Pretty cool. The new Show Mode is a nice feature too, they definitely borrowed that from the BenQ webcam.
Excellent! Very much appreciate the attention to details, clear/smooth communication and practical demo.. any comment on the Brio 500? Hope you keep creating.. very helpful.
You are using on the MX 95 view which make everything smaller but you got more space to see. If you turn it to 78 than it will be like the 4k of size and you will see the background bigger and better on the MX . I got the MX and it is crazy webcam
Never seen better video than this one.. I was watching this video directly from google search page but the way you talk about things, and made comparison it took me here on youtube and gonna subscribe to you.. you deserve it
Man I just started to pick today, picked Logitech top solutions and this video with low light already sold MX to me, ordered already! Anyway in reality light is almost always not so good in my room so I feel this MX camera will outplay my old 920s a lot :) thanks!
Great review. With proper lighting the Brio 4k looks WAY better. The MX looks overprocessed. The 4k also SOUNDS better in your test. Output is lower but also less distorted, like a mic with lower gain on. The mic on the MX sounds distorted and may be clipping. I'd get the 4k over the MX.
Thanks for an excellent side-by-side comparison. My perspective is that if you took the time to create a well-lit space, then the upgrade is not worth it. If however, you travel and do not have control over your lighting as in hotel rooms, then the MX makes a lot of sense. Great video, informative, clear and complete. Cheers,
I noticed some frame rate degradation when you switched between the Brio 4K and the MX Brio. The MX Brio seemed more "framey" to me, at least in these comparisons.
Amazing comparison, i will be doing remote work with many hours jet lag so i need a cam that clear the image in early morning time with low light and boost my voice as i can’t speak up. Im definitely going with the mx.
Really great video, thanks! One question for you is can you compare the "FPS" on these? It's almost like they are running < 24 FPS, seeing a bunch of jumpy motion. Could be your computer, could be the hardware, are there settings for FPS?
i have the mx brio and logitech brio 4k and the fps on both webcams are 1080p 60 fps and 4k 30 fps also idk why this guys brio has such bad image quality i guess every units different but my mx brio looks way better than the logitech brio
Love that you included the C922 here! Logitech's gear and how it stands the test of time for such a long period of time (especially given this day and age constantly creating new gear!) I was super impressed with how the MX Brio was able to handle low-light, but definitely disappointed with how it handled normal/typical daytime scenarios compared to how the Brio 4K performed. I didn't even know that the Brio 4K had the ability to be used for Windows Hello/facial recognition, so definitely low what I'm going to grab now!!

MX Brio / MX Brio 705 for Business - (ver: 1.0.390) - Improved image quality in low light conditions. - Resolved issues between automatic and manual white balance settings. - Improved ability to store settings in the webcam.
Great review! I am considering this MX Brio as my new webcam. One question though, what if I needed to change monitor after months or years of using the MX Brio, would the adhesive be less sticky on my new monitor? This will be a problem isn't it?
Not sure how “reusable” the stickiness would be. That was also a concern of mine, which is why I didn’t really appreciate their new mounting system! If you do get this and it’s no longer sticky, worst case, you can probably reapply an adhesive matt or nano tape.
@@RawansReviews it's not adhesive but rather lots of tiny suction cups. It is completely washable and reusable.. I was worried at first but no need. It is very portable!
You did not cover what was important for me to know; The shot I like of myself is a lit face but a mostly dark background. The webcam I use right now doesn't seem to be center-weighted for exposure and so it brightens the whole frame when most of the room is dark and my face is way over-exposed. I'm looking for a webcam that can detect the light on your face and adjust for that.
Love the review! Fast, comparisons, etc. Can you describe which you would prefer in a heavy-daylight room? I work in a room surrounded by windows with lots of indirect sunlight. The lights only wall is behind the webcam.
In deed I exactly have these two Brio 4k and C922 for my two PC-Setup (work & private).. and am just looking for a replacement of the aging 922. But as nice as the new MX Brio seems - it disqualifies itself with the missing Windows Hello, which I use all the time to unlock my PC.
wow MX BRIO is so good. captures much more light so when tunning can be less noisy and detailed. his mics are so damn good. i'm glad the Logitech camera has finally 8.0+ mpx. the bokeh, and all in general, about the image quality, can be caused by the larger sensor size, and the high aperture of the sensor/lens. my phone has a focal lenght of f1.4 and is incredible. my phone captures so much light and reduces it the noise in low light situations because i can lower the ISO. the bokeh is natural from the sensor and lens. but in this case from the MX BRIO has a little bit of that virtually. Glad this was helpful! Wouldn't use any for taking photos, but if I was to pick, I'd go with the MX Brio for its larger sensor and better low-light performance.
Excellent video comparison 👏 I think what you're seeing with the MX Brio (not being as clear in the back ground) is just a little bit of depth of field with there improved auto focus, and I believe those adjustments could be changed in their software... But probably one of the best videos I've seen on this device, and I just ordered one; so I'll be able to see for myself 👍 Thanks again!
Watched until you said it can't do Windows Hello Face ID sign in. Most important feature for me. Without it, no point in even considering the the new MX model camera. Thanks for the review.
I just got the MX, upgraded from Brio. The MX is a real pain in the neck to mount on my monitor. I mainly use it on my laptop so having it attached 24/7 is not an option because I open and close my laptop all day long. I see that they put some sticky stuff on the bottom part of the camera but have yet to remove the sticker because again I am going to take my camera off and on all day long. I'm not sure why Logitech did this because on the Brio I always can just slap it on top of the monitor anytime I need to. It seems like the lip that holds the MX is not good enough to hold on.
While originally content to get the C922, you've shown just how different the other models are in comparison. The MX Brio really stands out in low light, I'm hoping future software updates will help it catch up to the Brio 4K's performance in standard light, so I'm going to save for the MX.
I own the Brio 4k for 3 years and it's very good... the only thing I have sometimes problems with Microsoft Teams with the camera turning off and giving errors if I use the camera microphone at the same time. If I use earbuds or headphones then everything is ok. But this only happens with Teams, and not with the rest of applications...
Haven't tried with any, but my reasoning is you need the best light for effective green screen removal, so I would pick the one with the largest sensor = lets in most light, and that's the MX Brio.
Please do video of MX settings. I want horizontal flip. If they don't have they stupid. I gave logitech feedback about this. Reason I sold my 4K brio. David
can you turn off the audio background noise software? I play drums and have music playing and ive found that my phone makes it sound horrible with audio background noise filter it has and i cant turn it off..
Barely see reviews for cameras in low light. This was huge for me since the only light I use when I game is my monitor and mic isn't a huge issue since I use a boom mic. I was looking for a good Logitech camera since I already have the 502 mouse so I don't need to install another software. 👍🏻
Question about the MX Brio..does it need to be running software in order to look decent? I’m currently using a Huddly cam that has all the settings saved in the camera(settings like zoom and brightness) so there isn’t any dsp heavy software running in the background. Just wanna see if that’s the case with these cameras.
The images you saw were default settings. I purposely left everything on default, didn’t play around with any settings. So this should be what you would get if you just plug in
I'm leaning heavily towards the Brio 4K now that it's no longer $200 as the MX Brio is. Lighting is not an issue for me and I have a cheap Fifine mic that rivals high end mics. I had been using my phone, but the Iriun webcam app can be finicky. My backup was a Logitech C310 webcam from 2010, but I'm not cheap enough to keep using it in 2024. 😂
HI. I saw your video (beautiful video, congratulations) but I couldn't understand well (I'm Italian and I struggle to understand English, in fact I'm now using a translator). I have to buy a good webcam and my doubt is which one to get, mx brio or brio 4k. However, I would only use it for 1080p 60fps. Can you help me decide? the price is similar and I would like high video quality. Tysm
the mx is clearly prioritizing focusing on you, not the background... it's looking for a human face. its normal for a smaller sensor to focus more on everything (infinity focus) vs. larger sensors, but narrower focal planes are considered a mark of better quality of glass (lenses in general)
Thanks so much for this review. Based on the lack of Biometric support, sticky mount, and poor looking camera, your side to side review means Im passing on this 'downgrade'!
Sorry dude, that comparison is awful. It's clear that in low light MX Brio automatically increased exposure time / dropped fps. You should have put brio 4k at least in 30fsp mode with the same lighting settings.

Thanks! Happy to hear you found the video useful!
The audio quality jump is insane
1. Turn of HDR on MX to compare.
2. Depth of field depends on crop factor. MX have bigger sensor so backround have more blur.
Depth of field ultimately depends on effective lens diameter, crop factor has nothing to do with that.
Exactly the review I wanted, good job!

I think your MX Brio is set to 30FPS. Does it not support 60FPS? Theres definitely a FPS drop on your MX Brio
thanks for the video. anyway, what camera did you use for this video? thank you
Thanks! That was shot on a Nikon Z50.
While originally content to get the C922, you've shown just how different the other models are in comparison. The MX Brio really stands out in low light, I'm hoping future software updates will help it catch up to the Brio 4K's performance in standard light, so I'm going to save for the MX.
The Brio MX appears studdery vs the Brio 4K as if frames get dropped.
Yes, I have the same question, things feel a bit jumpy, like it's a low FPS.
thats how reviews must be done. thank you
Thanks! Appreciated!
A larger camera sensor will result in a shallower depth of field/blurier background. It's not AI or a filter, it's just the focus changing.
Correct--I did not think of that and completely missed that point.
do you need to install new drivers and apps for it to work every time you plug it into a new computer? What is the default view angle of the Brio MX?
Great efforts
Thanks for this video.
Can you suggest the best one if I want to use a green screen to remove the background ?
Haven't tried with any, but my reasoning is you need the best light for effective green screen removal, so I would pick the one with the largest sensor = lets in most light, and that's the MX Brio.
@@RawansReviews thanks for the reply
Please do video of MX settings. I want horizontal flip. If they don't have they stupid. I gave logitech feedback about this. Reason I sold my 4K brio. David
I think I like the brio 4k more too. The sound is better on the mx but I prefer to use a headset anyways.
thanks for this i was about to buy the MX , ill stick the 4k Streamcam !
great review
Thanks!
can you turn off the audio background noise software? I play drums and have music playing and ive found that my phone makes it sound horrible with audio background noise filter it has and i cant turn it off..
brio 4k 1000s vs 1000e ? I feel more comfortable whis win hello
Barely see reviews for cameras in low light. This was huge for me since the only light I use when I game is my monitor and mic isn't a huge issue since I use a boom mic. I was looking for a good Logitech camera since I already have the 502 mouse so I don't need to install another software. 👍🏻
Glad you found this useful!
So this should be what you would get if you just plug in
@@RawansReviewsah good to know, I appreciate the answer thanks
very helpful thank you
Great video. How does tht Brio 500 compare to these tested today?
WOW! The 4K looks smoother than the MX 😮
Tysm
se hanno un prezzo simile e non hai bisogno di Windows Hello, prenderei MX Brio. grazie per aver guardato il video ;)

MX Brio should have automatic change of viewangle / (adjustable) zoom to focus on (small/different) books by changing into viewmode
no Hello login feature means I will not upgrade
the mx is clearly prioritizing focusing on you, not the background... it's looking for a human face. its normal for a smaller sensor to focus more on everything (infinity focus) vs. larger sensors, but narrower focal planes are considered a mark of better quality of glass (lenses in general)
I prefer my current brios video quality, but I love the new cameras audio quality
If the mx has a lager sensor it will be blurry in the backround. Try it again with a 1000$ camera and youll see.
You're right. I completely missed linking the sensor size difference to that slight blur.
Thanks so much for this review. Based on the lack of Biometric support, sticky mount, and poor looking camera, your side to side review means Im passing on this 'downgrade'!
Awesome Review!
It focus on the face more than the wall behind you. I'd prefer than in video calls. people don't need to read the text on the wall behind me.
When the camera is point down can you read a letter.
tq now i know to get brio 4k
Sorry dude, that comparison is awful. It's clear that in low light MX Brio automatically increased exposure time / dropped fps. You should have put brio 4k at least in 30fsp mode with the same lighting settings.
Looked like the MX needed to be zoomed in to compare to the Brio
