Hey Guys, this is a tour of Jumbo, a huge superstore in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Does this one compare more to Walmart than la Sirena? What are your thoughts?

Yes, plenty of big retail stores in DR. I give this one an (A) for its variety and wide spaces. But what really makes my day is exploring a Home Depot-like superstore that sells every tool available. Is there anything like it in DR.?
There is nothing EXACTLY like Home Depot, at least that I know of. There used to be a huge hardware store called Ferretería Americana, but it went out of business during the pandemic....there are other hardware stores that are slightly comparable, I'll look into which one compares the most and do a video on it in the future!
Almacenes Unidos, Ferretería Haché and Ferretería Cuesta are hardware stores similar to the Home Depot where you can find all kinds of tools, etc.

Ferretería Bellon, Ferretería Ochoa, Ferretería Max, all those are home depot alike.
Indeed! Jumbo honors its name not only by its massive size but also for the huge variety of products. I think Jumbo combines La Sirena, Plaza Lama, and Walmart in one location. it's impressive! Love your videos. Keep 'em coming!

I think that La Sirena, Plaza Lama and Jumbo are all Walmart like stores. Where I live here in Floridad we have a several Walmart store of different sizes near us. One of them is just a Walmart supermarket, and another one is a Super Walmart. Great video as always.

I really like the Jumbo Luperón. It is huge I am not sure if it's bigger than Multicentro La Sirena is but it it definitely feels huge lol

Jumbo is cool but I prefer Almacenes Iberia. Better selection and prices. Not as many though. La Sirena is decent too. Been to them in DR and Panama.

Hi Eli, are they really asking to check for a vaccine card before entering any grocery stores in DR?
Yes they are (unfortunately). Some security guards let their guard down sometimes and don't ask for them, but most (if not all) grocery stores are definitely asking for it.

mi canal es en ingles para conectar con los dominicanos en el exterior y con personas extranjeras que quieran visitar o vivir en RD. Eso no tiene nada que ver con Jumbo pues ellos no me pidieron hacer este video.
It's definitely a Dominican Walmart because it is as huge as Walmart having groceries and furnitures in the same shop definitely screams Walmart plus 62 checking out is the most I've ever seen yet far 😱
