Hey guys, this is a FULL TOUR of Malecon Center, a mall in Santo Domingo which has becomed almost abandonded, and now looks like an excellent spot for a horror film. Watch as I show you around the place, tell you the eerie stories of things that have happened here, and get fully creeped out by the weird vibes and things I see.....

That place had so much potential. I can't believe how run down it looks now.
Exactly! And the weirdest thing is there is no specific explanation for this downfall....this place has strategic location, good amount of parking spaces, and everything it needed to succeed.....
@@PurelyWalking I am Dominican, although it is true that it is in a wonderful area, no less true, is that traditionally "the malecon" has never lost its tradition of being a place of outdoor recreation, never as an enclosed commercial area. That is my humble opinion as a citizen of that country.
@@jorgeacosta3993 thanks for the input
Wow! You keep getting better and better. Now I see it’s not the quality of the camera or special effects that makes a good video. It is the immersion you get us all into with your soft-spoken tone as you teach us along the way. The opening was awesome. It has that Blair Witch to it. The creepy background scoring sound turned it into a movie. Awesome!
To add more creepiness to your well-produced material, on January 17, 2018, a Venezuelan girl jumped off from the 9th floor. So far, we still don’t know why she decided to end her life this way and being so young at 23.
Now I see the abandonment of that place and it makes you wonder if that building is hunted.
Thanks so much for the info and for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the vid!
The building functions as a condominium, however, the commercial area, as a commercial plaza, was a failure.
😯👻🎬🎥📼👏 ...⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️... 😅Wow! The extreme Creepiness factor & effects of this episode were 😏 "to die for"! ...Super Excellent Eli!!! 💯% Loved it!🙆♂️ AND learned a lot about the place, area, local/DR past & current issues🇩🇴... 🎥The initial footage of12 seconds Black & White introduction of u looking terrified, nervous & walking into your deep Dark doom & Gloom, sounds, & narration was Epic! ....🤩Then SUDDENLY our senses & mood is jet propelled & snatched away to breathtakingly stunningly Golden Glowing Eli walking in sunshine while radiating energy, Smile, Fun, Fresh Air, sky & Ocean 🤣🌞🔥❤👍 ... 🕷So many Creepy noises & sounds!👂🎶 ... Lolol thanks for watching, your appreciation for the details of my videos is astounding!!
@PurelyWalking ...🤩💭I can certainly imagine that place was mind-blowingly Awesome, fun & stunning spot to hang out & socialize when it was filled & busy way back when!... 🙏🤞Am hoping the new investors/planners will sprinkle there magic-dust on this gem of a place in such a fantastic location!🧚♀️💰... 💛
Nice video. You should go to the silver sun building which is a hilton hotel and do a video from the top, it's an open sky observation deck
I definitely will! Thanks for the suggestion
That place never really got off the ground. Never really understood why, it had all the ingredients for success but failed big.
Indeed
i think it was a combination of things prices, cost of maintenance, the type of bussiness and public they were aiming at, it has a fine location overlooking the sea but is disconnected from its surrounding neighborhood which uninvites their day-to-day potential customers, (probably they were counting on the inhabitants of the residential towers to supply enough continuous affluence)
I found this video because I was looking for information about my old job as security for that square in 2007 and I assure you that not only is the square also many places ghosts appear in the Malecón Center once I was working I was supervising and I found a child playing in the parking lot and I went to see where his parents were and out of nowhere I did not see the child again many of my friends managed to see the child in several shifts it was something very chilling that happened in different shifts😲
Osea, en los estacionamientos de los apartamentos?
Wow, that place can be potentially prosperous because of the location, the size and distribution! But, who do you know what tape of calm it’s taking place at this moment!!!!
Girl that was a great video
Aww thanks
I know very well the malecon center. Not only the mall área, also the apartments and office área in the parking, and the hotel besides.
I have a lot of good memories from this complex. The upper apartments have a view of the sea like a cruise ship. Years before the mall have a good activity. I remember the cinema and restaurants. I remember the bars, pizzeria and luxury stores., I have good moments here. For me, is one of the most impressive buildings complex of the all city. And so beautiful, and so near to the sea. Is like a dream... really is a shame a beauty like this remains in a semi abandoned state in many of his áreas. Only the people of the private apartments and several business (like the bank and other offices) and the hotel maintain with life the all complex.
I think this impressive and massive complex have an enormous potencial, and today only works with a minimal degree of his possibilities. Is a shame see this beauty in this condition.
Awww its great to hear all these great memories! At the same time it makes me even more sad that it has gotten so abandoned!
@@PurelyWalking Is so sad see this beauty in this condition! Malecon center really is a dream place. Imagine in all of his splendor, is like a dubai place. But today is more like a shipwreck. like a once glorius but unfortunate cruise ship. But i save all those wonderfull memories in my hearth. I look whit nostalgic eyes the massibe malecon center every time i go in my bike trough the malecon ciclovia. Almost five times a week. Sometimes i go inside and remember the beautiful times for a while.
Hay un ollo hay un ollo 🎶
😂😂😂😂
Should have released this for Halloween 👻
You're so right!
Well the whole malecon it's abandoned. It's sad to say that people don't take advantage of that sector of the city. People like to live giving their backs to that beautiful place. In another country, that sector would be a high class sector.
The whole malecon is not abandoned🤦♂️
Scary but they could renew it with new?stores cool
I really hope they renew it, this area of town if one of my favorites! Its close to the ocean and the Zona Colonial!
I don’t think it’s creepy at all.. just flickering lights and is vacant. I guess that creeps some people out.
Definitely creeps me out!
In 05-07 it was booming and exciting. The Hilton had a hotel there and there was even a Tony Roma's. Both places moved to Bella Vista part of Distrito Nacional Santo Domingo. What killed it was the 07-08 recession. After that the values of the properties, money flow and customers just stopped coming and it never had a strong run of recovery right after the 03-04 inauguration. The apartments are pretty good. I know 5-6 ppl with several apartments there. Modern apartments with great views.
Thanks for all this info, very valuable!
Yes, the apartments are so beautiful and modern!
Some big shot is going to buy that and turn it into a scrip joint
I've been in there a couple times looking for a law firm that has their offices there. Maybe the mall charges to much for rent?
Airbnb has this amazing looking apartment on tower 2. I was debating whether staying there or anywhere else. After seeing this anywhere else sounds better 😓
the entrance to the apartment buildings is quite secured (lobby+security guards), so I wasnt able to enter to show you, but what I hear is that those apartments are quite luxurious! Its just the commercial plaza thats pretty much dead. This is a great location regardless of the mall area. If you and up booking the apt, please let us know how your stay was!
I booked Airbnb here. The apartments are way different than the mall part!
@@yenicool02 awesome! Good to know!!!
🦇🇩🇴🦇🦇🇩🇴
How are the Malecon center Towers where people live or stay when visiting?
The entrance to those towers is very restricted, but what they say is that the apartments are very nice and luxurious
@@PurelyWalking thanks, I'm staying in those towers next week and your video almost made me cancel so thanks. That's good to know.
@@azapsam1103 I hope you have a good stay! Its a great location regardless of the fact that the commercial side of the plaza is in a rough moment.
By the way I share with all my friends
Perhaps may feel little creepy at night
I agree....I wouldn't want to be in here at night...NO WAY.
🦇🦇🦇🇩🇴🇩🇴
Its not that creepy I went there and its mainly used to translate Documents for the Dominican Goverment and to get it stamped for use, also Banareservas has a big training center, across the street the goverment is building a beautiful board walk along the ocean
I think it's super creepy
@@PurelyWalking not as creepy as the abandoned mall in the state i live 🤣🤣
I was there like a month ago and there was a lot of people so maybe thats why lol
@@chadspinalbosd007 lol maybe. What mall is the one in your state?
Well the whole malecon it's abandoned. It's sad to say that people don't take advantage of that sector of the city. People like to live giving their backs to that beautiful place. In another country, that sector would be a high class sector.
I completely agree!
I believe there is a plan to revitalize it inaugurated this plaza everyone thought it was
