Oo the radium girls sounds amazing - straight to tbr! Paradais isn’t what id normally read either but melchor’s aggressive writing style to depict that world and society took such a strong hold over me it felt so powerful and i was swept away! It’s nice to occasionally read outside your comfort zone and see what else is out there. Great video ❤
All the sunflowers look so sunny which is nice when it is winter over here! I have heard such good things about elena knows and I really want to read that one. Especially to see the mother daughter relationship and the grief elements. I've heard the radium girls is very good but it is heartbreaking with it being such a real story. And I think I am going to read it, but it's good to be prepared on what it is going to be like.
That is horrible about The Radium Girls. We see things like this from some large corporations and it is so sad. You read some interesting books for sure. Thank you for sharing darling. 🥰
Elena Knows. I googled and read some other reviews. It sounds like a profoundly powerful novel. But I don't think I can read it because the subject matter would sadden me a little and not in the mood for that these days. Really nice, practical and illuminating review. I like the practicality and technical aspect of your reviews (readability etc, style etc)
Not only were two books recommended by me chosen, but both were from the same comment on your Beetlejuice Beetlejuice reading Vlog LOL With Easy Nevada I was expecting it to be spicy, so I did read that one with smut brain which made me overlook the intensity of her come-ons more. But I do agree that the villains should have been different. I actually liked star Scrapper significantly more than easy nevada, I personally like the very casual way the ai's talked and didn't mind the lowish stakes because it was just a big silly space adventure. If you want to know where I found them Easy Navada was from LESBIreviewed who has a very large catalog 3 or 4 min quick reviews. Star Scrapper was from Rach's Rambling Reviews who does casual reviews and hasn't finished Star scrapper yet but it should be in a video soon!
@ChanelChapters I have email notifications turned on, so if a comment gets a heart it's searchable. I just seatched "Chanel Navada" and found the when and where. I do keep a list of recs and who I got them from, but I can remember most of them without it. Carol from LESBIreviewed is obviously an easy bet for sappphic recs. Rachael from Rach's Rambling Reviews is the closest thing to a real friend I've made online, so those tend to take the top shelf in my mind.
If you are wanting some more recommendations then I would suggest Popisho/This One Sky Day by Leone Ross, sensual magical realism from a Caribbean author that I really enjoyed. 💘 Then also; This Wound Full of Fish by Lorena Salazar Masso a book with a beautiful mother child relationship that manages to balance warmth and tragedy.
I’d love to hear what you think of The Fisherman by John Langan on one of these viewer recommendations vids! It’s my favourite book. One for the jar🤞 😊
The Radium girls sounds like an interesting book, I kinda wanna read it but I get so angry when injustice happens that i don't know I could handle it. I'm gonna add a book recommendation to the jar! It's Pergamino by Sergio A. Sierra, but I'm not sure if you'll find an english translation
I am currently reading William Blake vs the World by John Higgs a biography of the great genius but am not going to recommend it to you in case you hate it and roast me.

She did portray that very skilfully
And yes it is good to read out of your comfort zone

@@kellyrosen1 thank you x
I love those flower earrings, did you make them yourself?
I wish I had that skill, but no, I bought them from an artists stall
Teeth falling out, yeh I love those dreams as well. Not jaw clenchingly freaked out by them at all.

My library doesn’t have it 😞
Easy Nevada reminds me of the anime Black Lagoon starring the rough and tough and very foul mouthed Revy. Highlights abound on youtube.
