Wow, the wildflowers are gorgeous! I'm not a homeowner (I live in an apartment) but one reason I'd contemplate changing that is the room and ability to have wildflowers and let them flourish :) Thank you for sharing! Also, I like Winter Chanel, cozy and gorgeous!
Laughed super hard when you pulled Dune. Hehe, you called it to you. I do love an old school classic, but my faves are the Gunslinger series and the Wheel of Time. Anyways, I'll be excited to see if/when you return to Anais Nin or if you pick up any of the lit fic I mentioned recently. :)
I love the Dune movies. You just amaze me with how much you read. Oh and btw, you could never be a ghoul. Your worst days are way better than my great days....🤣🤣🤣
even though dune is giant, the chapters are usually really small (sometimes only a page) so it can actually be an easy read! (If you're like me who hates to stop in the middle of a chapter lol) i just found out about grey dog and i'm excited to read it!
Your review of The Game Gods Play has me rolling on the floor! Not Augustus Goop!!!! I'm fucking DECEASED LMAOOOOOOOOO GODS DOING FITNESS AND DIETS?? I'm dead, girl. DEAD. Not, damn dem jeans!
I've never had interest in Dune. One funny thing is when booktuber Emily Fox tried and dnf'd it she said the same thing about Paul and Jessica being wierdly normal names lol. Just read Divine Might by Natalie Haynes which is about Greek Goddesses and it talks quite a bit about how in the origonal myths Persephone was infantalized and an SA survivor who couldnt escape her captor. Divine Might was ok but Pandora's Jar by the same as uthor was much better. I'm currently reading Swordcrossed by Freya Marske which is a spicy mm romantasy that came out today! I'm really enjoying it and there is a pet name thing that does work.
I have read dune and jessica and paul are wayyy too basic names for the main characters. I think for people who don't read high scifi often watching the film first definitely helps! I read part 1 of the film before reading, and then watched part 2 after I'd finished reading. EWW Persephone as Hades child no no noooo. Ooh you liked dune more than me! Audiobook is a good production for it, I listened and read it physical on and off depending on what I was doing. I really liked the world building and had a great time with that. And the plot is intriguing. But the female rep in it is not that, and I didn't like th epsoiling the plot either. And it was really long and slow... when it didn't need to be. I do want to try daytripper at some point. It has been highly recommended to me.
Yep I think having seen the film before and listening to the audio def improved my rating - really think as a book with no previous knowledge I probably would have dnfd And yeah, hades and Persephone as father daughter is 🤢
