I'm always listening to you when you pop up on my phone. I have a restless spirit myself. How do I deal with it? If the booze is making me sick, I go for a walk. It's one of a bunch of coping strategies from my mental health tool box. It works, trust me. My liver appreciates the break. ❤
I was taught to make eye contact, it creeps some people out. As in staring while they are talking to me. It got belted into me or the cane at school was used. At the school I taught at (Special Education) i was told by the head of Special Education that my makes eye contact so he can’t be autistic or have adhd. (my son , 2 years later was diagnosed with 7 disabilities, including Asd, adhd, dyslexia )
I always look to the ground and nod. If I'm not nodding, i probably didnt hear a damn thing you just said and I'll just bring up some random ass topic that I feel normies will find interesting lmao
Uh uh! If someone doesn't hold eye contact they are being dishonest. LoL. Can't count the time self trained prophilers have pronounced me a dishonest person because I don't hold eye contact while talking. Not sure if it's ADHD or child abuse but I'm a very honest and straight forward person
I do that as it helps me understand what they are saying. I found it very difficult during covid as people were wearing masks and I had trouble hearing them not seeing their lips move. But I think It’s just the way I hear the words.
Please make note of the distinction between the different presentations of ADHD, and the different severities. I have mild to moderate predominantly Inattentive presentation. I do not have difficulty with maintaining eye contact. (I did when I was young due to shyness...not due to my ADHD.) I have also known people who have milder Combined or Hyperactive-Impulsive ADHD who could maintain eye contact...they may not have been able to keep their body still, but they definitely could maintain eye contact. But I certainly am very understanding that some people with ADHD are not able to maintain eye contact, and I am not bothered by it in the least bit. I recognize that we aren't all the same. I also realized a long time ago that is not helpful to force a child to make eye contact when an adult it talking to them. Even kids without ADHD have difficulty with both maintaining eye contact and paying attention to what is being said. Then, I generalized that knowledge to everyone.
Someone tell my teachers that just bc I'm staring at the wall the whole entire class that yea I am listening to them
How do you fix that? In Job interviews etc you need eye contact.

Welp I think I have ADHD
This symptom is also present in autism. I have both and I would personally recommend getting a diagnosis if you have the means.
Truth❤

Yup. I've tried to break that but I failed. I think it's impossible.
😂 you & I both. They’ll get a glimpse but that’s the whack.
