-They don't care since it helps raise the insurance rates on the "real truckers." -So basically a big scam and many of these "trucking companies" are being subsidized by our Gov to hire these illegals. Many of these scam trucking companies buy the fake type insurance = if an illegal gets in an accident with you -good luck suing because you will not see a dime and these companies will.just shut down and reopen under a new name.
It would be extremely easy to make that experience happen… hell when I started driving back in ‘02 my dad told a broker that i had drove for him to get my experience when i started my driving career.

One company gets caught and a vacuum happens and another company pops up to do the same thing. Pakistanis from Canada, Russians in Chicago area and Mexicans from that side of the border. This is a problem created from our own federal government allowing "sponsors " to do this. When large companies are forced to acknowledge their is no "driver shortage" and they can be forced to stop pushing their agenda to get cheap labor, these practices will stop. Our own federal government creates this problem and protects the perpetrators.

According to insiders in the trucking industry that are friends, the effects of this trafficking have been wreaking havoc on the leader boards (where truckers find loads) since at least 2020 if not before. This is one of the major reasons why there is such a shortage of truckers now: independent truckers and other trucking companies couldn't compete with these human traffickers. Job bids were severely undercut on the leader boards to a level where there was no possible way that an honest trucker or honest trucking company could cover their fuel and other overhead on those loads.
I'm having trouble believing that everyone in the industry absolutely had to be aware that this was going on--HAD TO--given the ridiculous bids posted to the leader boards, and yet, only now have these two perps been arrested. I suspect they're only the tip of the iceberg.
Many of those multi-brokered low-ball loads are just stolen. = Another reason our insurance rates are $40k-$70k for O/O.

In torrance, ca. I ran into a driver though he was legal. Came out to be he was here illegaly with a international lisence. He was getting paid 100 to 150 a day running 2 to 3 loads a day. Several months later my pops gets rear ended by a container driver with international lisence. Worse thing expired for 3 yrs. We are a trucking family. I understand theres a necessity to work the hustle but if we got to abid by laws why are there many like this

We got hit from behind by a couple of sheikh guys in Feb. We got the whole thing recorded except we couldn't tell who was driving. One was 23 and licensed and other, his brother, was 20 and not licensed or had legal papers. Thank goodness the company they drove for was insured because we going to go after them for compensation. A lot of the "no speaky English" drivers are not trained or licensed.

I seen a dude driving like shit, breaking all the rules and being an asshole. I pull up next to him finally and theres a huge "osama b" sticker holding an AK. I couldnt even give him a good dirty look because he had his windows tinted darker than a limo. I see these guys every day. As much as we hate DOT, they need to check these drivers. Ive never had any issues with DOT in 13 years. Things are out of hand these days.

Those drivers have now a great legal case (forced labor/human trafficking/threats against the drivers) to file for a work visa/legal status. The crime are the carrier owners knowingly breaking the law, and by doing so affecting everyone else doing business legally. I work at the rail, and it is the same carriers whose drivers can’t speak a word of English, reckless, and dangerous in traffic, but it does make me wonder about them too.

Thats been going on for a while. I met a driver about 4yrs ago in TX. He paid the coyote 3k to get across and $2.00 out of the $20/hour he was making in the oil fields went back to the coyote. He was paid in cash so no with-holding, SSI was being taken out. He was living in the truck in that TX heat. I never saw him again...

They would contract people with tourist visa and they would pay so low and they would make a team to be able to drive. CDL drivers wouldn’t give them miles. That’s why industry is the way it is because of all this cheating ways.

The company just takes the money and sends it overseas to buy investment property etc. =Get the money and then get out when accidents happen. DOT/FMCSA are told to just look the other way by higher ups in Gov.
The only time there are issues is when a big accident happens that kills a bunch of people (Colorado no brakes trucker etc).

The earth quake was crazy!! I was outside when it happened about to walk into my shop. That was scary. I live near picatinny arsenal and used to explosions. At first I thought it was that. But it continued and it definitely freaked me out.

I want to make a comment about this video I am a Mexican-American. about three years ago I went to McAllen I’ll talk to a lot of drivers they come from Mexico to United States. They are getting ripped off the drivers are getting paid $.35 a mile is not one driver they are two for $.35 a mile now the people are hiring these drivers, they’re taking advantage how much the dollar is paying in Mexico so they pay these drivers $1000 a week in Mexican money to be around 17,000 of course Hispanic I was hired over here to come to drive over here that’s damn good money 70,000 nobody makes it as a regular work the rates down because of other people not just people that come from another countries but the same people live here I believe we all in it because we all talk about how rates are low, but nobody would make sure that all this stops because we all frame that we got bills to pay now I’m not saying that this news is not true but illegal aliens but I’m saying is that there is companies that run by Mexicans and the reason I say Mexicans because they’re from Mexico and they know how to play the game behind those people they come from Mexico so we’re gonna blame it won’t be the people that try to work make money from the side of Mexico it be the people that hired those people they’re taking advantage because they pay $.35 a mile nobody notices but if you look in the flap it life you rarely see a person that come from Mexico to haul freight or flat flatbed and I know they started with a shingles with the sheet rock so we’re going to blame let’s blame the companies that are close to the border cause they know how to take advantage of our situation
As a 72 year old former longhauler with 16 years 48 state over the road experience I find I seldom use the Interstate highway system anymore for many reasons with that being just one of them. It seems like very few people not just truckers know how to drive Courteously and share the road. I hung it up in late 2001 after seeing all the changes happening because of the 911 debacle so I understand just how hard it is for the experienced good drivers still out there to survive. I really wish you would do a episode on the entirety of the illegal immigrants driving on our roads, and how it’s not only putting the public in danger, but also how it is putting law abiding tax paying American drivers in the poor house. A broker told me about 80 percent of drivers have Mexican driver licenses in Texas. This load was for Lockheed Martin and required a U.S. driver license.
THAT makes a tons of sense- Hire someone who broke the law just being here, then give them an $80,000 tractor and however much is the freight worth, and not pay them? I'm assuming these trucks are HEAVILY insured.

At a D.O.T scale, an inspector told me he inspected a truck with an illegal driver from ukrain he said that driver would get threats from employer that if he gets any tickets its coming out of his already low pay check.
Rates are so it doesn’t make sense to maintain a truck anymore
