Every bit of his existence is so wholesome and innocent.
watching his interviews really reminds me how important it is to retain your joy for life and curiosity about the world and the people in it! i’m so happy for him!
I want his next role to be something totally dark so we can see the extent of his range
@@PhotogrrlFilms I was going to say, he is in control of every word....dang!
He’s literally a real life elf.
He makes Tom Hanks look like Robert Blake
He delivered the best speech in 10 years!
It didn't feel scripted or bs, he was 100 percent authentic. And that is a trait that should be treasured
This man's energy is like a dose of serotonin. So genuine, encouraging, and sweet. Such a wonderful comeback story.
On a different RUclips video that had Ke Huy Quan in it, a commenter said they wanted to liquefy that moment and inject it directly into their veins, LOL. That's exactly how I felt too. Everything about his comeback story is so inspiring that I want to take it like a medication so it can heal my soul.
One of the most deserved Oscars of the century, if not all time. Yes, the narrative around his return is great, but it's also a phenomenal performance in its own right.
There are, possibly, other actors that could have played his role(s) in this film........but I cannot imagine the film working without him.
Bear in mind he hasn't acted for 20 years before landing EEAAO role but to get that level of a performance is remarkable
Absolutely. A truly wonderful performance. A quintessential Supporting performance. What Supporting really means. He's so charming in this great movie. He's a rock, an anchor, a mainstay, a fully engaged in the moment scene partner. Well deserved Oscar.
It was the greatest Oscar moment of all times.
@@Tao_Tology Jackie Chan turned down the role I could totally have seen him playing that part.
This guy has natural charisma. Shame on hollywood for ignoring his talent for 20 years.
1983 he was filming his first movie, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. 40 years later, he wins his first Oscar and then is presented the Best Picture Oscar by Harrison Ford all while Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw and John Williams are there in the auidence. Pretty special. That hug between him and Ford...easily one of the best Oscar moments ever along with his speech when he won. Oh and btw...Jeff Cohen, who co-starred with Ke in The Goonies as Chunk, is his lawyer now. He helped get him the role that won him an Oscar. To add even more awesomeness to this awards show...Ke co-starred in Encino Man with Brendan Fraser, (that was Fraser's second movie, first starring role) who last night won Best Actor and like Ke was making a huge career comeback.
that means don't burn bridges with people you know because some years later, you'll never know who's gonna help you when you'll need help the most.
It's like a great Hollywood movie!
You can't make this stuff up 😭

When he won his 1st award of the season , the Golden Globe, he looked down at Steven right in front of him. His heartfelt thanks to Steven had me in tears.
Steven obviously still has great affection for him.
It was a very sweet emotional moment.
How can he not be everyone’s favorite person.
Ikr, he is just so irresistibly adorable and charming like a golden retriever puppy ☺️
When he took photos with other famous people, he looked like a fanboy meet his idols, lol, very adorable man.
If Ke Huy Quan was a movie he’d have a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Him hugging Harrison Ford was so wholesome 😂

Such an iconic Cutie Pie! He just gets more adorable with age but he gives off Ultimate Dad material!
Don’t think I’ve ever been happier about an Oscar win!
It's almost heart breaking to know that he never had winning an Oscar before, he was one of the best child actors I've seen before, but knowing that he finally won one and how humble he accept the award with words of wisdom, it was really wholesome to see it, I cried tears of joy, Ke Huy Quan, this was well deserved, I wish you won many more in the future, you are worthy and truly deserves more recognition, congratulations!!! 👏👏👏👏

Love this man. In the sewer that is Hollywood he really shines as a beacon of kindness and dignity.
Then another amazing reunion happened this time in front of millions seeing Harrison present best picture to Ke's Film.
A few years ago out of curiosity I googled Hey Huy Quan and say he was doing as a stunt coordinator. I never new of his issues getting an acting gig, but now am glad he was able to because we're all the better for it. :)

“Yea, Indy…” God I’m such a cry baby
So happy for Ke, growing up Goonies was my favorite movie! I wish he was in another Indiana Jones sequel, would have been epic to see that character evolve.

I can still see little Short Round in his face. That movie would not have been the same without him.
He’s so stinkin sweet
I have loved Ke Huy Quan since I saw him in Indiana Jones. He has not changed a bit. He is still has that childlike quality and I love him for that. I love how positive he is and how happy he seems to be. It is a breathe of fresh air to see at least one person in Hollywood I can admire. I also admire Kurt Russell and Weird Al Yankovic because they seem like good guys.
So wholesome, this guy.
