its basically a super built 8hp trans. i have a pure stage 2 8hp75 swapped into my e92 drag car and i rev it to 8500rpm lift shifting and its amazing. i have 5k rpm stall converter and trans brake. you can lock the converter up 100% in any 8hp in all 8 gears (4 gears in pairs of 2). pure told me that siag gearbox was going to be like 50-60k lol. no thanks. the 8hp75 i got from them has seen two years of hard trans brake launches, 1400ft lbs at the wheels and way more hp than they claim it can hold. ill bet money, a pure built 8hp90 would hold 2k hp .. that siag is just a full billet 8hp gearbox with good tcu. the turbo lamik tcu and a bone stock 8hp70 has all of those same features, you could make a gated electronic shfiter and program all of that.

Your channel is extremely informative! Any tips for a M340i owner trying to make around 550-620WHP reliably?

Get a big turbo and a good tune

Putting an h-pattern shifter on automatic kinda defeats the purpose of an automatic. It is basically a heavier "manual" transmission.
A better combo would be paddle shift and clutch pedal, allowing you to clutch kick even if you are using an auto.

H pattern is critical to my enjoyment. It's giving the end user options.

Pretty sure this would cost at much as a new car (minus the dealer markup).
Also, since it's clutch-by-wire in it's manual transmission mode, does that mean there's an option for an anti-stall?

it sounds like it's not currently included but probably something they could program in with a checkbox.

Rated for 2700Nm? Someone will have to build compound turbo b57 on 100+psi now...

You can adjust the gear ratio to your licking within limits

No shade to you but this feels like automotive vaporware. HOW does it do any of this stuff? Their site doesn’t shed any more information and the only technical thing I see is a wireframe of the case. It seems like it can do anything and everything with no limitations which makes me extremely skeptical. As they say in medicine, “a cure-all usually cures nothing”. At least the Koenigsegg transmission came with detailed explanations and diagrams of the gears and shifters.

I explained everything in the video

Again - no shade to you - but you didn’t. You said “it will do this and that and everything in between” but I don’t understand how it’s going to do all that. I’ve been reading through their site and it’s the same thing. It’s all about the limitless options and total flexibility but there isn’t a single useful diagram or explanation about how it accomplishes this stuff. The closest I can tell is that “the GCM is magic” is the explanation. All the gears are always engaged but it’s up to the GCM to decide which to use? HOW? I’d love to see a diagram of the forks or relays or whatever it is that is actually transferring this power and making the selections. I think you gave a good rundown of what the company is saying but I don’t trust this company. Maybe it just sounds too good to be true to me and I’ll eat my words when it actually ships but this just sounds ridiculous to me.

@@JBIsraeli know but I don't understand how that's confusing. How do you think your stock TCM controls the transmission? How do you think it changes shifts speed between drive mode and sport mode?. The controller is what manages everything. And it's the same thing with the CC850. All the switches are electronic inputs to the GCM so that it can actuate the clutches based on the tune and driving style. It just all happened to also be mated to a transmission that can hold 2,000 ft lbs.
And FYI every top b58/s58 car is running a pure drivetrain solutions transmission. So yes the company is trustworthy

Even in my 340i I can select a setting in my transmission tune and change the car from starting in first gear to starting in second gear. This transmission just comes with a much higher quality and more configurable controller.

What are you confused about it’s a automatic trans with a converter, but they are came out with different options for it and everything controlled by the gcm pretty sick tbh
