Dude never run your winch without your engine running. The winch requires certain amperage, so if your alternator is not charging the battery you will over heat and melt wiring.
Last time I offered him some advice I got shut down. He will learn one way or another. Love the channel and builds, just feel as if he should be humbled and learn from people who have made the mistakes for him so he can succeed.
@@bendaff9618 I informed him about his rear sway bar. He stated that because he saw in one location that his placement was correct, that he was right. However the reason they have the bend is to wrap around the diff so you don’t bottom out over trails. But if he only uses as a camping rig and not an off road rig then he’s fine the way he is 🤷♂️
Great stuff! I personally think the overrider looks fire - since the edges give it a bit more of a rugged 'offroader' look, that goes really well with the meaty tires and the roofrack. Regardless, keep 'em coming!
Make sure you unspool the entire line and then spool it under load to cinch the wionch line onto the barrel. On flat ground will be fine it just need to be wound the first time unter some light tension to set the line correctly. Make sure not to use it to pill something very heavy ort a high load until you do that so you dont damage the line or pull it out of the barrel.
Be careful. Should never stand in front or behind the strap when using the winch. If line snaps it could spring back. Could kill you. Be safe. You should get weights to put on the cordage. That way if it doe snap. It will be a lot safe.
@@CostalGarage I've seen synthetic rope "snapback" op is right: you should stand between the vehicle and thing the winch is attached to at a distance from the line equal to the length of line spooled out to form a triangle. Goes for pulling with any line.
This looks so good! Personally liked the overrider, but it's nice that you can change whenever you feel like it. You should really keep your engine running while using a 360A load tho. That kind of drain can kill the battery when over time :s
yea I had it on when I was pulling myself back in, I was focused on filming and I forgot ahaha. Definitely cool to be able to change the override back and forth tho!
Looks awesome! If I can recommend, the bull bar should be reversed, where the bar faces forward! Try that out and see if you prefer the look. It's meant to protect your grill. And hopefully you pre-tensioned the rope? Again, awesome look! I'm jealous!
Hey robbie, they sell weighted blanket type things that you put over the steel cable when your pulling. That way, if your cable or strap breaks/disconnects, the metal hook isnt whipped around under all the tension the winch put in it. Big safety thing. It will still whip but the weight will help to absorb some of the energy, and the hook wont fly near as far
Looks amazing without the hoop but also looks amazing with it love how far this jeep has come since you first got it and love how happy you are with it honestly your choice on which one you run like you said you can always swap if you need. I thing I highly recommend for your winch is look into either just buying a winch blanket or buying a kit that has extra shackles tree trunk protectors and all
Came across your channel when you did the garage make over and followed your Jeeps journey ever since. I love my 2 door JL but time to move on to someone more practical for life but still in in a 22 Taco. As much as I’ll be watching some taco builds and work I’ll be staying tuned to this adventure and build for sure.
Robbie, the real fun part is fabricating pieces to work with the build. Making brackets to have your fog lights mate up to the buckets so they look correct. That's what I like about a build, figuring out how. Robbie you decide what looks good on your Jeep !
I can’t wait to buy a Jeep Wrangler someday. Seeing how stoked you are about adding extra new parts to the Jeep makes me feel like that’s how I am going to be. Awesome!
I've been looking at Venator for my '22 Rubicon. Lots of ppl removing the metal hook, just one less thing to go wrong. Also I prefer w/o overrider. Looks better and 1 reason I'm interested in Venator is winch is recessed
If you're going to tow or pull someone out or yourself get yourself a jerk rope that stretches, they are awesome for this. and get yourself a come-a-long as well so if you're into something that might burn out your winch or break your synthetic rope you will pat yourself on the back for the purchase. And things look great but don't forget to paint the brackets you made for those lights to protect against rust. and get the bumper for your winch rope to stop it and keep it looking clean.
Great vid. Good to see the couple of snags you found during install. I'm getting this bumper, but I want to pair it to a Warn zeon 10,000 so gotta wait a little longer for the $$. Your rig looks dope. I'm running 37s, with a manual tranny and you don't lose much power, just gas. I'd recommend. 37s look awesome, and they make a big difference on the trail. I've got a Rubicon which I think is more tolerant of going bigger with the tires. Good luck!
Hi Robbie loving the content and your general vibe, really happy for you. Since you bought the Jeep I noticed you ve been worrying about your clutch. I d consider changing the way you think about it. A clutch is smt which is designed for such use and when offroading or towing letting your clutch out quickly puts a lot more stress on the rest of the drive train, drive shafts; axle shafts, universal joints, etc. Which overall cost a lot more to replace than a clutch. Btw I'm from across the globe, from a tiny country called Malta and my daily driver and offroad beast is a Land Rover Defender. 😜
Robbie... the tow strap and wheels... the reds don't match 😂😂😂 I'm sorry, I just had to. Man I miss that civic, definitely looking forward to when the time you get bored of the jeep and hopefully start on the eg. Keep up the good work!
Can't wait for the "get stuck" video lol... make sure you got all of our near by Ontario Jeepers phone numbers on standby :P haha! Great job installing that bumper and winch, looks awesome!
It's turning out SICK! This whole build made me want a Jeep. The gas prices obviously hinder me, I'll keep the Civic Aerodeck and live vicariously through your Jeep content for now!
Robbie the jeep looks amazing! i think that the bumper looks best without the overrider. and those HOOKS they are BEEFY damn! im really lovin how this build is comin together!
The overrider may be good if your stuck in water/mud that’s very deep because then it’s a faster process to grab the shackle and go kinda thing so you can get the vehicle out of the water/mud ASAP
Robbie if I want a good bit of advice I would recommend you to stay with the 35s as 37 will make you keep breaking half shafts and you will feel a big power loss from the engine but at the end its up to you because I know 37 would look amazing bro
The reason the bolt is rusted is because the braket is stainless steel or alu and bolt is galvanized. Use the the same materials or isolate is materialen with plastic bushes
Out of all of the stuff I’ve seen this dude put on his Jeep I don’t think he’s ever said anything about changing the gears in the differential prior or after adding the 35” tall tires and new rims. Which is weird as the stock gears that come in the Wrangler sport would have him sitting close to or over 3k RPM at 70 mph (112.6 Kmh).
I like that top bar actually ! Looking goofy without it? You should look into some tire chains or “ladders” because trying to pull people in winter Jeeps are just too light weight

@@Prodigy_GP what do you mean you got shut down lmao he probably just didn't see
@@bendaff9618 what do you think that means? Not hard. Damn kids these days
What would the alternator running have to do with wire temperature. You're draining the battery of course but not even remotely melting anythingy dude

That’s if you have a cable, the synthetic rope will not spring back, it will just fall.
@@CostalGarage really? That's really cool. Thats kinda awesome. I never heard of it. Now if I ever get a winch. I will be sure to use it.

If 'fire' means good then I agree with KH, it looks good/complete with the bully bar!
I like it with the overrider on IMO it ties the look nicely to the fender flares
Looking forward to seeing the other cars soon!

LOVE THAT YOU SHOW YOUR EFF UP! GOOD FOR YOU BROTHER
I agree with you it looks better without the override for sure
Lights are perfect for that bumper, would've looked off without them!
Love the jeep build, I recommend zip tying the d rings so they don’t loosen up and fall out while driving, happened to me

I like that look with shorten bumper, man great colour combos
Ok i see you my boi!!! It looks fantastic!!!!! I love it!!!

The overrider was sick!
For winching it’s good have some pulleys even one is good you can do two to one just by hooking back to yourself
You should get a factor 55 flat winch hook, you can get it in red which would match your wheels perfectly
Man this thing is coming together beautifully!🔥 I can't wait to see what's next. Also I personally like it without the overrider. 👌
Awesome video! Just got the 12.5 winch for my rubicon. I’m looking to run a battery switch as well

run a high amp relay setup for the winch power and then you can use the aux switch to controll it

Love the Jeep! I've heard the shackles is the pins can get stuck if they are on there for a while! Sick build though!!
I’m really loving this build, Robbie! It’s fun to watch and it’s inspiring me to spend ALL the moneys on my JL 🥴 Excited to see what’s next!
It looked like the overrider was backwards. I like it either way tho

Looks great man. That bumper is a good look, definitely not enough people running the rugged ridge setup but I dig it.
OVERRIDER!!!!! YES!!!!
We have been waiting since you announced that Jeep for this video! :D
What I seen a lot of people doing is using a circuit breaker on the positive side to the winch
The overrider may be good if your stuck in water/mud that’s very deep because then it’s a faster process to grab the shackle and go kinda thing so you can get the vehicle out of the water/mud ASAP
i think the overrider looks dope
Cant tell if this will fit my Mojave. Such a clean bumper
That looks pretty good low profile let air flow through the radiator
Looks sick!! Sucks I am not that handy to get it my Jeep.
I like the overrider bar, but that's me.
Looks great dude.
When are we going to get an update on the hot wheels wall?

Should try a Yankum Rope, would be an excellent addition
Stop, you're making me want a Jeep 😭😂
Hell yeah bro this looks sick! Just imo the overrider is a must give the girl just alittle aggression without being overdone
It looks sick
Loving the jeep so far, but when will you continue working on the eg? 👀
Hello, I love your content, I bought the same bumper but I want to remove the override, should I remove the side parts to access the screw?
I think the front guard would look cool... And what if it would be red? 🤔
Use the over rider, I think it looks good with it on
Love it! Selling my truck to get a heep….😂
Ari the G 💯
yeah buddy!!
Don’t get me wrong, I like the Jeep and all the content from the Jeep, but when do we get return of Jasmine and the S10?😄
Your amazing man 🔥
You need a yard wagon to haul parts around. I like the look without the top piece.
Personal preference but I've always preferred a tube style front bumper on jeeps
How do you find offloading on a steep hill with a 6 speed? How do you maintain not moving backwards?
If those are the diode dynamic light can you tell me which bracket and which set up you used? Just worried which one is going to fit this bumper
Please get a winch blanket! Especially when you said you want to stand by your tires and winch at 10:58!!
overrider def makes it look more aggressive i feel plus gives just a bit more protection up front
Looks great, but much better without the bar. 👍
The reason the bolt is rusted is because the braket is stainless steel or alu and bolt is galvanized. Use the the same materials or isolate is materialen with plastic bushes

The jeeps reminding me of the civic. The reds and grays don't match. Love the build tho man #staycommitted
Probably won’t find a switch for the winch but if your dead set on having a kill, just wire in a battery disconnect inline to the winch 🤷🏼♂️
