Hey Robbie, one thing I didn't notice in your video. You gotta tighten the suspension when it's sitting on the ground. There might be some tension on the joints. Then it has a hard time settling. Could be a reason the Jeep sat so high right off the bat. Just food for thought. Great videos all around keep it up. You're always new at something until you get into it and get your hands dirty. I'm glad you started with good components off the bat instead of Rough Country. Ive made that mistake and end up paying more in the long run.
I’ve had a jeep jk for about 6 years with a 4 inch lift and after about 2 years of it being lifted, on a trip to Michigan from Tennessee, the front driveshaft started binding up to the point I had to pull over and take the front driveshaft out. I now have a aftermarket front driveshaft and never had that problem again. Definitely need a aftermarket driveshaft 😂. I love the jeep build btw. Can’t wait to see you full send build it💯💯
I'm proud of you man! I'm so glad you didn't " Peter out" with a smaller lift, you actually installed a very substantial, big boys lift!!! And did a really good job I might add 💪 I will definitely be tuning in for future upgrades, now you need some bigger tires, those look like puny car tires with the new lift!
Lifts always give you more than they say, I bought a 2.5 inch leveling kit for my xterra and it put the front up like 3, so I bought bigger spring shackles to get the rear up level with the front 😂
Pro tip, because of Canadian climate (I'm in Vancouver), since T.O gets so much snow, salt, make sure you check and grease those Johnny Joints regularly. You will be surprised how quickly they can dry up. Cheers
Nice job. Most Jeep lifts assume you have a Rubicon which is 1.5" taller than your Sport from the factory. So you likely got about 5.5" taller from this 4" lift.
nice vid but one think that you should do asap is to replace those stock brake lines with longer lines and some teraflex front brake line anchors (Quadratec Part # 12700.4900)
Hey man I owned a newer wrangler and did all this a few years ago have any questions feel free to ask. Your gonna want to upgrade the ujoints Thell go probably first, they also make an axel support bushing that you push in the end of the axel tube and it holds your axel centred instead of it being and to have a flex point and that stupid plastic seal is now rubber
Robbie, I’m not sure about the JLU but when lifting a JKU jeep you need a new complete u joint front driveshaft because the stock front driveshaft joint boot on the transfer case side will rip and destroy it self over time.
question, I have a 4 inches lift kit jeep wrangler unlimited. but now my jeep goes side by side like a boat in the ocean. some people told me I have to push forward the axle. other say I need to change my rough country spring to rubicon xpress spring. I don't have any idea
New subscriber here, thank you for the link to Belltech. Now I know what lift I’m putting on my jeep gladiator. Also you should take a look at a product called autolynxfor your front disconnect. If you’re going to be wheeling your jeep it makes disconnecting your front sway bar so much easier. I put a set on mine and love them.
Hey Robbie your old truck got sold about 2-3 weeks ago for $44,486 on Kijiji Auto. I just wanted to see if I could find if before it got sold and saved the listing.
@Brydon Brubacher That would loom awesome! I’m not sure if he would have to make cuts but I doubt it with a jeep. I own a Tacoma so I know nothing about fitting big tires without cutting unfortunately 😂.
@@Bopperspaniel As far as I'm aware, you don't have to make any cuts. I believe there's 1 bracket that needs relocated. But the big thing with 40s is that you need upgraded axles, most people go with Ford f250 or f350 axles since they're one of the best out there and you can typically find them for a good price if you're willing to put in the work of changing the gear ratios and cleaning them up. But you also need upgraded brakes.
Those joints (I think) are also rebuildable unlike normal heim joints. Those parts look beefy! Remember to grease em all before and after you go wheelin.
Next you'll be V8 Hemi swapping it (maybe LS lol) for some more low end torque for off the line and horsepower for that interstate highway driving. I know Jeep just put the 392 in them but a smaller V8 that's not $80k would be awesome. Maybe something around the 4.8L to 5.7L V8 would be some nice. Love my 2015 Jeep JKU but it needs a little power. Love these builds the S10 now the Jeep, it you do a BMW Z3M roadster I'm going to worried you are calling me out lol. That's my garage
Make sure you get extended bump stops or your springs can bottom out before the bump stop does its job. Also they might help stop the swaybar from hitting the shock. Edit: Nvm what I said, I see you got new bumps on top of the shocks.
Hey Robbie! Can we get an update on how the floor is holding up? I used the same floor but there was a problem with the product and it hold dirt and stains like nothing else. No peeling or bubbling just terrible surface :(
😂Interesting, I can't see how that would be a product issue, sounds more like a prep issue maybe? Like it didn't adhere properly.. Idk tho I am not an expert😂 sorry you had a bad go with it, mine is great! It has chipped very little a few times after dropping things like a leaf spring on it but what can you expect from a huge impact. I use a paint pen to fill it the chips!
@@RobbieFerreira Thanks for the reply! And I ground the whole concrete pad and then etched so prep was definitely good, it hasn't peeled chipped or bubbled at all. Just Seems like it stayed tacky forever :( yours looks amazing though!
I'm still searching for the lift I want with my 2020 2 door JL. Went to belltech and site says no lift for 2020 Wrangler Sport. Both engine options... any guidance you can give?
Love the channel - huge fan, but watching him use that janky Rigid driver got me thinking that we got to use the power of the internet to help him out. Those tabs are great but only work when you're jeep in New 😭 they're a nightmare when stuff is rusty bc the welds make it hard to fit a spanner or socket on 😤
Also it's cause it is more than 4 inches it should be around the ball park of 5 because the rubicon trim modles are from the factory with a 1 in lift so when they buy a 4 in left they get a 4 in lift but when someone that has a sport or Sahara they get more lift out of it says why your lift isn't correct at all as far as total lift

Thanks for another great video Robbie. I can tell this was soooo much work, but we appreciate it 🙏
2” in a JL gives enough room for 37’s. You went 4? Well, better get some axles and 40’s since you now have tiny tires again.
Lifts always give you more than they say, I bought a 2.5 inch leveling kit for my xterra and it put the front up like 3, so I bought bigger spring shackles to get the rear up level with the front 😂
That looks absolutely sick!! cant wait for the future of this jeep
Awesome work what will be the biggest size of tires that you will go?
Jeep is looking better and better every video I'm excited for all the adventures!
The jeep looks great, love the new lift & color. Your garage floor, did you epoxy it yourself? If so, what did you use?
Oh yeah!!!! Here we go. No such thing as TOO BIG!!!!
Still so impressed with the lumar film, I need that for my prelude
It’d cost more than the cars worth
What prelude do you have👀
@bitcoochie, I have like 16k into that thing, why else would I want lumar on it?🤦♂️

do you have to replace the caliper brake lines? Thanks.

Yes on the full send of this
You should look into dropping your transfer case, that will help the driveline angles a lot. Especially at full droop.
I had this problem to but the the mid clearance was to lowif i did that, so portal axel?
4" doesn't sound like a lot but it is!!! Man it is nice looking. So nice to work on a new vehicle eh and not old rust buckets.
4 inch is massive lol

Ya that is a bold move Cotton. Don’t know if I could ever go that aggressive with a lift.

Hi how much you add the blue lift in you garage house ?
Can you send me the link or information about that please
Thanks
Hey Robbie your old truck got sold about 2-3 weeks ago for $44,486 on Kijiji Auto. I just wanted to see if I could find if before it got sold and saved the listing.
The real MVP in this video is that foldable table for handling all of that weight from the lift kit haha
Well done . Can you temporarily not put sandbags in it for extra weight? To protect your drive shaft .
With the sand make sure u get it out of your frame. It will collect and rust out,
It looks dirpy with those wheels now. With bigger wheels tho, that is going to look sick!!
The front axel looks like a front axel from a small traktor with 4wd. The suspension on the jeep is built to be loded down or be towed with
Dude that jeep looks massive! Definitely gotta shove some 35s under there! Congratulations man you officially have a badass jeep!
More like 38s or 40s

Shoulda got the antirock swaybar, get full travel but never need to disconnect it
Not totally convinced on the jeep, but I’ll watch all the way through to show support
What's the highest on the bumper , the bottom of the bumper
Now I get it “ultimate adventure machine”😂
Who did your PPF?
Wow! Looks great man!
I'm surprised you dont have a mini fridge for drinks for them long days in the shop
Looks sick my dude ready for the 37 or 35s?
Hello Robbie, I am seriously considering replacing my lift with this however what is the measurement ground to bottom of frame?
Love all the vids Robbie keep it up🔥
“This looks like way more than 4inches” 😉 that’s what’s she said!!!
You need to get that thing undercoated you can already see some minor rust. Just protect it for years and years
please tell me your going with some offset on the wheels
Yay we get new keep mods 🔥🔥👀
Looks hot. Are you going to put an air compressor in?
I would like to yea!
are you gonna do a video on your hot wheels wall build?? That would be a nice lil side dinker video!!
I am currently trying to find the materials!
Time to get the auto hidden steps next?
God those rokus look so nice on the ls10
