I honestly don’t like the look of most snorkels but Rugged Ridge knocked it out of the park with this one. The two different positions and it looks so good.
I understand the utility of the high mount but, I agree with Eddie on the low mount, if you're in water deep enough for the low mount to be an issue, you got bigger problems.
OS RR high mount is more for dust than water though I believe the low mount is good for those mall crawlers bc it would allow more dust in than the high mount and we all know those mall crawlers only deal with city smog lol
This video is the one that convinced me to get the RR AmFib Snorkel. LOVE IT! I switch back and forth from Snorkel to Cold Air side cowl intake. I really liked the idea of not having to cut a hole in the side of the hood and the install was very easy. If you've done any kind of installs of anything on a vehicle, this is simple. One thing I did pick up from another install video was to rotate the clamps so the screw adjustment is under the intake tunnel, this keeps you from scraping your arms or snagging your shirt on the worm screws. Also, I've seen the exterior snorkel and cowl parts painted to match the jeep from another YT video, and it looks super sharp. One thing that also should be mentioned, do not tighten the clamps too tight (What me?), especially if you live in a warm climate, as the plastic on the connectors will deform. I did that, but with a little careful use of a heat gun was able to get them back into the proper shape. A suggestion is that RR beef up the plastic connectors where the rubber tunnel connects with a thin metal strip on the inside of the tunnel that is pop rivetted to the plastic to reduce the likelihood of the tunnel deforming from someone tightening too much on the worm screws. I'm thinking of trying the metal strip myself if I see the plastic deform again. As for a lightbar, I've purchased, not yet installed, an interior light bar that mounts on the inside of the windshield looking out, because of the roof mounted lightbar support conflict, to reduce road noise (More aerodynamic) and well, I liked the stealthiness of the interior lightbar (One less item to snag on tree limbs and one less thing for "sticky hands" to snag from your rig). Don't know how LEOs will view the legality of a lightbar not being covered on road, it's technically not an "exterior" light, but does shine to the outside, I guess I will find out soon.
The way you have an eye on detail, tools, cleanliness and steps of R&I is impeccable. Your my go to guy when I buy something for my JL. I wish you luck and success. Only if you sold clothes for 4xlt. Lol.

Oh my brother from another mother. I’m a 4XLT. NOT JUST A 4xl. I have a belly to cover haha. Between you and Ozark overland Adventures why would I trust anyone else for advice, R & I and recommended parts to use. I would work with you in a heartbeat. Just installed a cheesemaster snorkel on my JL. Can’t afford the real deal. But the install was exactly the same.
Too many people would've just said "for our appication" and did whichever they would be using. You took the time to do both and just know it us much appreciated 👍👌

I just put this snorkel on my jl today..I found my new go to RUclips jeep videos 👍thank you love your videos and very professional and detailed I just ran a longer tube with the value on the end for easy access..well take care and thanks again
Thanks for the video. Great quality as always. Just installed mine. Never looked at instructions. Just watched your video and had all required tools laid out night before delivery. Great work.
Great vid, you always do a fantastic gob. So you and everyone watching should email Rugged Ridge and ask them to make a low snorkel fake kit for driverside for cosmetics appeal. It would look awesome. kinda like a Hummer
Hey buddy, you saved me a bunch of work. I was really dreading moving my winch to install the snorkel!. I’m gonna pull that little lower air tube out as you did anyway, just because..., but I’m sure glad I didn’t have to move my winch (or front bumper). Thanks a bunch!
Great video. If you've ever seen someone do Cape York in Australia, you'll understand why you really want this to be waterproof. Considering you can't really legally run 40's here (only 2 inchs bigger than stock) and maximum a 2 inch lift (although people run bigger) the higher and more waterproof you can get that snorkel, the better. Great product, appreciate the level of detial provided in the video.
Truly awesome 👌. This is another brilliant way to have the cold air intake to the Gladiator, and this prevents the water from damaging the engine as well. You processed this quickly and efficiently with prudence and patience. Great job. 👍👍👍👍🤙🤙🤙🤙🤜🤛🙌
This DIY was perhaps the best one I’ve seen on RUclips. You have earned another subscriber. About the snorkel, I haven’t watched a lot of installation videos with other brands, but this is the only one I’ve seen in which you don’t have to drill holes or cut into the vehicle. By the way, your Jeep is exceptionally nice, one of the best I’ve seen.
The low profile looks great. Your video shows how easy the Rgged Ridge snorkel is to install. Even I could do the install. Thanks for posting, I enjoy your channel.
What a fantastic How-To video! I wish more people that posted these types of videos on RUclips made videos of this quality. Thank you for taking the time to edit this and make it enjoyable to watch.
Is it okay to leave the stock intake line at the bottom disconnected as it is? Or, is it possible to use the stock intake line at the bottom while keeping it connected? Because, embarrassingly, I’m installing the snorkel for 'looking good' purposes, and I rarely go off-road. Thank you for always posting videos that are helpful for beginners. Your RUclips channel has been such a great blessing to my Jeep life.
If you're referring to what I think you are, that air duct needs to be removed in order for the air box to be reinstalled. That said, if you're just doing all this for looks, just install the cowl and the snorkel and leave everything under the hood out.
Great job Eddie! Agree the low pro looks best. Rugged Ridge did an excellent job engineering this set up. The unit serves as a cold air inlet too. Win! Win!
I don't have a JL yet but when I do your channel will guide me into mods that are good and also providing me with help into what I would like to add to it. I quickly subbed to your channel and can't wait for any notifications of new ideas and or mods you come across.

Already instaled mine following your instructions, thanks a lot.
