In the banner that furls at the closing of day, returning at break of the dawn, In the woodsmoke that curls to the sky and away Is the penchant that’s luring me on. Through the mist of the morning that creepingly swirls Like wraiths through each little ravine O’er the meadows unshorn where the dewdrops are pearls, I’ll gaze on a half-hidden scene. I’ll awake to the song of the thrush in the tree, exultant at daylights return, And the bond will be strong when he’s singing for me That paean for which ever I yearn. Then I’ll seek out that most perfect valley of all That I’ve pictured so long in my mind, And submit to the mystic yet relevant call Whose lure is to seek and to find. I never shall mind if the terrain be strange, My compass is trusty and true; I’ll just travel blind and scout out the range And trust to my luck to come through. I’m hearing reports of a bad norovirus outbreak along the NC/TN section of the trail. Happens every year somewhere along the trail. That stuff is wicked. Shouldn’t impact your late start thank goodness. I always followed the golden hiker rule of never eating out of someone else’s food bag. Cheers!
Jeez I gotta get my gear and my efficiency in order. I get so distracted and waste so much time when I’m on trail. You guys were so fast last time…it motivates me. I’m doing Winding Stair to Fontana starting on Satuday. Its a two hour drive for me from Tennessee.

Some people think just hiking it once is odd lol. I hike for me and no one else so I hike the trail that works best for me and the time / seasons that I have available to hike. :-)
Tennessee isn't boring!! 🙃🤠But I guess compared to the other states for views. Also you probably have only hiked it in the winter! Excited for your hike.
Have you ever noticed that the 3 big trails are just by the nature of the geography of the trail lay out that it seems like they r by nature designed to be traveled from south to north ???? Even in terms of building ur body up to trail life !!! As u go North it slow gets more challenging and ur trail legs just seem to be adapt with the terrain/difficulty. It just seems to me that nobo seems to be a natural course to take 😊 Anyway you guys it seems like you're mentally ready to go your packs are probably ready to go you just got to get a few things button down and off you go so we're looking forward to it take care be safe have fun and as always peace and Keep on rocking The Free world 🤠😀

Hi it was 117 days last time, Were probably doing a similar hike, but we’re not planning miles just gonna do what’s comfortable while we vlog so we’ll see
@@baskets8429 if in waist high grass, for tick protection yes. Otherwise, no. For mosquito protection, yes top and bottom clothing should cover legs, arms. Treat with permithrin too. You are fit, fast hikers. Have fun on the trail.

i dont use the F word , and i hope you dont use it in front of your parents as well. If another hiker chooses to use it in one of my videos , you get the trail as i see it so that wont be edited out thats for sure. but as for me i try my best not to swear because coming from many years of trucking ive heard many many bad words for years and they are not fun for anyone to hear.
