That hidden door was actually taking you to the Adult Shooting Gallery. Maybe, the developers needed to have the door there, in both time periods to ensure that the warp works properly, and just hid it inside the pile of bricks to make it impossible to enter as Child Link through normal gameplay.
Yeah, same thing happens with stuff like jabu jabu. The loading zones are always present, but they’re blocked off by objects when you aren’t supposed to access them.

1:02 As a European from Germany I can confirm that her name has always been Salia here. I only knew that her name was Saria in other languages because of a fanart I found of her.
Your note about Saria’s name being incorrectly translated is interesting. I played an Ocarina of Time ROM hack that had Saria’s name (and the name of her corresponding song) spelled Salia (and by extension, her song being spelled Salia’s Song) and I thought it very odd. Perhaps there is a connection between the mistranslation that you point out in this video and the spelling used in the ROM hack.

The door in #6 isn't mysterious at all, nor is the reason why it leads to the Shooting Gallery. It's quite simple actually. The building under construction is the future location of the Shooting Gallery after Castle Town was destroyed.
Saria is also called "Salia" in the german localisation. I was always confused why she was called differently in the english versions, but with R and L it makes sense!

@@Selnathorn obviously you have no idea. There couldnt be a better answer for somebody who really knows Ocarina of Time
Cool out of bounds trick with the Ganon castle door!
Love these videos. I'm always learning new things about Ocarina of Time
2:08, what if the lense of truth is on when in that angle?
The thumbnail is spicy
3:55 i think that's because in the future, the shooting gallery moves to that place in kakariko. Did you check if the rupee sequence was fixed (child gallery) or random (adult gallery)?
Salia?? Now imagine if our hero's name was Rink! LOL
7:03 I’m guessing Ganon was meant to be able to knock them off at some point, making the fight harder
Ganondorf does knock them down, making the fight harder.
@@Sauraen Yeah, but the platforms are hard coded, in case of any kinda of explosion ocurrs. 😅
0:44 this is not a translation error of the booklet. Her name is Salia in the actual game too.
But "Salia" isn't male so there is a translation error.
Her name is Saria
@@sasook Not in every version of the game. In german she is also written "Salia".
@@sasook Bro you need to imagine. It's 1998. The Internet was not really a thing. We didn't know she's called Saria. For us Europeans, she always was called Salia. Saria sounds so wrong.
@@pandurlolgg5780 not for all of Europeans. In the Italian version she’s called Saria, both in the game and in the book
6:41 learned that one on my own when I used the hammer to deflect his beam, only for the floor to start falling!
This Videos are amazing i love ocarina of time its one of my Favorit zelda's of all time thats why iam so happy see new Things on it keep the Great work up
The amount of tests required is insane!
0:41 every N64 collector is clenching their butt cheeks with concern as you turn those pages.
It’s crazy that I’m learned something from all eight of these videos and the came lot 23 years ago
Yet another great vid!
These are awesome.
Thank you.
I have been using #3 to see items locked behind objects in randomizers for some time now, allows me to note if I need to go back with the hammer or some other object to get that item or not.
well actually winners DO cheat, in 1.0 if you got a fish and sunsong you can do the entire minigame without lense, the fish is to do ocarina items and sunsong reloads the room, the special thing about this is that the doors stay unlocked but the chest contents refresh, meaning you can brute force through the entire game :)
Guillotine note: are you sure the other side isnt hookshotable? Looks like they just mirrored the mesh.
In Majora's Mask, the Bombchu Operator does have legs.
As do most other NPC's behind desks.
that roll trick is nearly essential when you're doing randomizer. Knew about this since early 2019
funnily enough, the hookshot spots in the 3ds version are visibly there 5:13
Lol, you literally had the Lens of Truth equipped and didn't even think to use them to cheat, THAT'S how you cheat lol
You made a mistake about the Hookshot spots in Water Temple and Gerudo training camp. Use Eye of Truth to see them. Nintendo didn't forget them. They just made them invisible to give a tinsy reward to players who obtained Eye of Truth before Water Temple or Gerudo training camp.
“Winners don’t cheat”.
Comes back with a lens that can spot which chest has the key.
3:16 thankfully in this case "frame perfect" is like a 6 frame window because optimization lol
the signs grow because they are all alive. you actually mistranslated them, but its okay. they're just screaming.
okay aside from saria bieng a guy, i knew most of this, but the fact that that door leads to the shooting gallery makes me think that because there is only ever 1 accessible shooting gallery at a time, if you could get adult link into child kakariko, it would lead to the adult shooting gallery, which is awsome to me
1:02 As a European from Germany I can confirm that her name has always been Salia here. I only knew that her name was Saria in other languages because of a fanart I found of her.
That Saria mixup has been the bane of searching for artwork of her. Good to know it's considered incorrect today!
2:19 *Laughs in Lens of Truth*
Your note about Saria’s name being incorrectly translated is interesting. I played an Ocarina of Time ROM hack that had Saria’s name (and the name of her corresponding song) spelled Salia (and by extension, her song being spelled Salia’s Song) and I thought it very odd. Perhaps there is a connection between the mistranslation that you point out in this video and the spelling used in the ROM hack.
ahh the 90s gaming Booklets that came with every game back then...
She's laughing at you for attempting to warp away when you can't.
Thank you for this, I want to play this game all over again lol. I tried playing BOTW in 2021 after beating it in 2018 but I felt like it's too soon. I never feel that way with linear games though.
Awesome video!
I love these videos 😌👍🏻
zelda music is so good. When you hookshot in several places, water temple, goron city, the guillotine place.
About first one - fairy laughed because this song is Serenade (of Water) and it's looks like Link played it specifical for her)
The door in #6 isn't mysterious at all, nor is the reason why it leads to the Shooting Gallery. It's quite simple actually. The building under construction is the future location of the Shooting Gallery after Castle Town was destroyed.
The UK instruction book had a blackadder reference in the description for the boomerang
Fun fact; in the 3ds remake, several guillotines work with the hook shot, which means they made it a legit feature.
They are made of wood, which is generally supposed to be hookshottable.
@@Sauraen But then they took away the statue from being hookshotable.
Saria is also called "Salia" in the german localisation. I was always confused why she was called differently in the english versions, but with R and L it makes sense!
I knew 8 and 10! Wohoo! :)
On that hidden door trick in kakariko village, could you try to go thru it on the other side and see if it still takes you too the shooting gallery? Maybe it's somewhere dif?
