Those great fairy sequences kinda remind me of the sword-sessions from Twilight Princess where the Zombie-Link teaches you sword manoeuvers

At least for me, the great fairy training animations are proof of how much better this game could’ve been if it wasn’t on a time crunch. However that’s part of what made this game so amazing in the first place, isn’t it.
Majora's mask was made what it is because devs didn't have time to question their ideas, s.o. you're partially wrong

Every game is better in your imagination than it is in reality, yes. That's the price of turning the uncompleted into the completed; some things don't work or have to go.
I wish they kept the training sequence with the fairy in the game. that was cool.
I think being able to play as zora and gorons definitely made this game leaps and bounds above other titles .. the goron punch the zora swimming 😍😍😍

Also just because i havnt seen it mentioned in any of these kind of lists. The gong drops blue rupees only at the O'clock or the thirty minute mark for every hour. Ive seen so many people either not address it or think its random or that you have to hit it so many times or something.
That great fairy sequence should not have been left out of the actual game. It looks so cool!
Bruh, the workout animations are hilarious! Can easily say they took this idea into Twilight Princess, but here it's more animations we see with Link we never thought we see!
All of your vids are an instant click for me. I always learn something I didn't know, often multiple somethings. That Zora mask trick reminds me of Ground Jump / Bomb Jumping in OoT, and it looks so easy that anyone who can put on a mask or jump up a normal ledge could do it. I wonder what kind of trouble you could get yourself into in Great Bay with that sequence breaker...

Great work dude, I really appreciate the effort put into making the small stuff that can be found in the game so cool. As well as translating the Japanese only dialogue into English with the cut Fairy sequences.
Fun Fact: Gibdos and Redeads Can't Grab Goron or Deku link
So the fairy don't just give you power ups, she makes you earn them. Quite neat!
The sound design in this game really is perfect.

That scene of Link working out is really anticlimatic yet so hilarious, I see why it was removed.
I'll definitely be using the Zora ledge grab in my next Majora playthrough... I hate having to re-traverse the whole Great Bay Temple just because I accidentally slipped off of a ledge.
I'm tempted to skip into ikana castle too just because the gibdo sidequest is frustrating when you don't know it and tedious when you do.
@@KairuHakubi you cant skip it bud. Mirror shield is required, and you cant get into the well in reverse to grab it as there is another sun block there, one you cannot climb onto off.

@@KairuHakubi I didnt. You get it IN the well, which means you can’t skip the Gibdo quest since, as I explained, you cannot do the well in reverse.
By doing a gainer into the castle all you do it let yourself get the pillar heart piece early. You cannot beat Igos to learn elegy as that requires mirror shield, which as I reiterated, is in well behind Gibdo.
If you have mirror then you don’t need to gainer into the castle and already did Gibdo.

Another great vid guys! Something you may not know is that, like the Happy Mask Salesman, the sword instructor at the dojo is the only other character in the game who will give a unique reaction to every mask you wear upon speaking to him (he even suspects you're nearby while wearing the stone mask!) Other honorable mentions for this go to the kid guarding the alley, the trading post owner, and the trading post's part-time evening worker; all of them each give unique reactions to about half of your masks (the last of whom is also a fan of the Indigo-Gos, which he makes evident if you speak to him while wearing the zora mask)
I always loved that. His reaction to the great fairy mask is priceless.

I’ve played the crap out of both Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask in my day, yet somehow there’s always something I didn’t know in one of these videos, often multiple things. The Zora mask trick might help me finally accomplish my lifelong goal of the legendary 6-day run.

there's something cool seeing link doing basic exercising.
it helps give more character to how he builds up his fighting capabilities and that he's not someone who learned how to fight on a whim.
also seeing him training with the great fairies makes me think he's like goku training in the hyperbolic time chamber.
I Remember something about how Nintendo will used cut content in later games and it looks like they used the cut great fairy cutscene in twilight princess when learning new skills
Now I kinda wish they added those teaching sessions scenes with the fairy, it would’ve been so cool to watch they added such an aesthetic touch to the game itself.
It reminded me when I played windwaker for the first time and the old man was teaching you how to use the sword even tho he punishes you for doing it wrong lol.

Another great vid, always look forward to these videos of Zelda trivia! One suggestion I have (though you may already have this idea for next vid) is that you can skip a good portion of Ikana Castle, including the Wizrobe battle, by throwing the powder keg as a goron while on the ledge over the fence so it will blow up the crack which lets sunlight into the main room when you first go outside! I tried it last time and felt so great!!

I got one fact to share that I’ve never seen documented. You know how when you hit a stone wall, it’s supposed to make a clank sound? Well, if you go to the entrance of west clock town, right beside the clock tower, on the very end of that wall near the shallow pool, it’ll make a wood chopping sound on a wall that’s clearly made of stone! Only on that specific part of the wall. I know right!? Super interesting!
Also Romani can be found in Romani Ranch on the second day. Not a lot of people seem to know that.
You mean if you don't stop 'Them', right? Yeah, she's completely out of it. Just stares into space all day, and if you try to interact with her you just get a text box with an ellipsis.
I prefer Romani on the second night when you _do_ stop 'Them'. Her whole 'you can live with us! You like it here, right? And sister seems to like you, too!' thing is so cute.
Another funny sound fact I have is that the jars by Zora Cape where Lulu stays lack breaking sounds. They are silent when you hit them for rupees or hearts.

You blew my mind with the Gainer and Great Fairy stuff. Everything else i figured out as a kid doing stupid stuff and not knowing any better.
You should watch some OoT and MM speedruns to see a bunch of tricks like the Gainer in action. It's seriously crazy what some people can do with these games. I've seen OoT beaten in like 7 minutes as Child Link.
These videos are cool, but I haven't seen anyone showing how the camera zooms in when Link is about to die everytime his health is low. It's very subtle but it's a nice touch since it gives the sense of fainting.

@@Pett1806 On the newest iteration of the randomizer that one and many others are there, like the bong on swordmaster's school you gotta punch with Goron Link, naturally you can discard them from the available locations, but where is the fun in that =P
I Dont know if it was ever mentioned but i know at least for the N64 Versions of OOT And MM you can change the key and notes of the ocarina with the shoulder buttons on the controller
It's in the official strategy guide. It also gives you a key on how to play the Kakariko Village theme on the ocarina.

Do you guys know if the moving bushes in the beginning of the game, when Link follows Skull Kid before entering Termina, contains a Keaton?
All the other moving bushes do have summon one if you wear the Keaton mask.
No, there isn't a keaton in those bushes.
While using an emulator, I had Link wear the Keaton Mask during that part and tried a few times to summon a Keaton from the moving bushes and no Keaton showed up.
Wizzrobe's magic can be reflected with the mirror shield
Yeah, but you have to be super close and it doesn't do much damage since you're hitting them with their own element, which they resist. I find it more interesting that they're weak to Light Arrows. Given that and the way they look, that particular incarnation of Wizzrobe might be undead.

My cartridge had the training animation sequences... I remember laughing my ass off as a kid. Also my OOT cartridge included the fire temple song with voices (the original, cooler version). I guess my country got the rejected batches of the games
If you still have that cartridge you can sell it for a lot more money due to it being a rare variant.

Actually the "Gainer" or "L-Jump" or high jump, is relatively easy to pull off.
I of course played and loved OoT, but I have never played MM. It just seems like a completely different kind of game. Maybe I will give it a try...

Honestly can we just marvel at the fact that OoT and MM both went through the totally unnecessary effort of letting you catch and release those fish? It has a whole animation for flopping around on the floor, which is a level of detail that was never necessary, and that's something video games are missing today. Sure, we have fancy high fidelity graphics and lighting, but the world's in those games are less interactive than ever. Devs will throw some cheap physics objects in and call it a day

I recall somewhere Link’s training exercise from the Great Fairy turns him into Fierce Deity. Assuming its suppose to be intense training that turns him into a god who has enhanced defense (as described in the video of its abilities).
