Now THIS was a good video. The rear in my ‘86 K10 blew so I went from the 3:08s to 3:73s so obviously I have to do the front so I’m doing some research before I get into it and this was just a good straight up video so thank you for that
So you do not have to do anything to the differential gears when putting it back together? Like check for back lash and all that fun stuff.Or is that only when installing new ring and pinion?
I’m in a stuck position where my axle shaft is just floppin around in the housing for it, any chance you’ve got any insight on how to replace those bearings or what could hold that axle shaft from slapping around?

You could I guess. But if not changing anything other than seals no. If you start changing bearings or the ring and pinion then yes you have to.

How many hours do you charge assuming no issues with siezed parts etc?
Mine is leaking and not looking forward to doing on the floor. Wondering what I might expect the job to cost at a shop.
