@@76greentruck thanks
I’m having the same problem but it’s when I’m accelerating or pressing the gas. I never had any issues until I had my AC compressor replaced, that’s when the squeaking started to happen. What it might be?
@@parksnrecsdetailing I would say something with the compressor that you had replaced. If it showed up after that. But ultimately I can’t diagnose it over message. You will have to take it somewhere to get looked at.
Still have it? Looks fun what state?
@@know1n359 yep still got it. Up in Canada on the prairies.
@JonHolovach i just finished up my 91 k2500 lq9 with a nv4500 put of a 2007 sierra classic first drive tomorrow this is all I want to do with mine besides the occasional tow.
@ you won’t be disappointed. Best swap to do.
What modifications did you have to do to the transmission hump and in the video is the seat all the way back?
@@brennenstern6946 I cut a little strip off of the tunnel at the rear of the shifter tower. Wasn’t much. Think if you go through my other videos I may show it. Yes seat is all the way back.
@@JonHolovachok thanks
@ no problem
@@JonHolovachdon’t mean to be a pain but I forgot to ask this earlier do you think the seat could go much farther forward with not hitting the shifter?
@ I will check and let you know
Don’t know how you can stand that music.. cool video
I did a similar swap into a gmt800 truck using a 93 nv4500. I transplated the clutch pedal and with some modification I got the gmt400 pedal to work. I have a stroked lq4 as my engine and I couldn't get that low oil level sensor plug back in with the external slave Did you have to do away with it or did you find a way to make it work?
@@autumnjeserich2689 I never used the low level oil sensor. Never had any codes set or other issues
is it expensive ? i got ram rims 10 inch wide and tires 7 inch been changing tires since 80s as a kid never failed till now is it super loud ?
@@brewcrew5854 can’t remember what I paid. But after I got it and used it I wondered why I didn’t buy it sooner. Yes it is loud. You’re releasing 120 plus psi in an instant.

I did all this with my sisters 1.8 cruze put the donor engine back in didn't crank over or start so I went on to troubleshoot and came to find out the engine harness was burnt out so I replaced the engine harness and it fired right up😂 good job on this I wish my experience went this smoothly 😂😂

@ awesome and good luck with the surprise
Hi, I had the exact same whistling noise on my 2019 Chevrolet trax 1.4l. I also had the belt tensioner replaced and the problem was not fixed, but after watching this video I ran to check the spark plugs and one of them was loose and had oil on it, I cleaned it and then tightened it properly and the whistling problem was fixed. Your video was really very helpful, thank you so much for sharing.
@@joelpartida2258 awesome good to hear it helped you
I’ve watched several videos of this process and it seems the most involved here. The rusted down pipe was an aftermarket pipe, correct? The PPE is stainless looks like. That should last longer.
@@jimsjacob yep the rusty one was a mbrp
@ That’s good to know. I was on the fence with which one to go with because the MBRP looked good. I do live in So. Cal (regrettably) so no salted roads from snow and looking at my 06 LBZ, it looks pristine. But still…. I like the properties of stainless. Cheers bud.

How many hours do you charge assuming no issues with siezed parts etc?
Mine is leaking and not looking forward to doing on the floor. Wondering what I might expect the job to cost at a shop.
@@t44e6 usually a 8 hour day. Most these trucks are close or older then 40 years. Lots of cleaning and rust where I am from. Takes time to fix it. That’s what I do. Someone might do it cheaper.

Do the front axle shafts seat somehow? I changed the u-joints but putting the shaft back in seems to go in all the way to the u-joint and it doesn't feel like installing a drive shaft. It just feels like it is laying in the tube.
Well the splines should engage the big yoke should almost touch the axle tube if seated all the way in
Now THIS was a good video. The rear in my ‘86 K10 blew so I went from the 3:08s to 3:73s so obviously I have to do the front so I’m doing some research before I get into it and this was just a good straight up video so thank you for that
About how tall does your truck stand with the boggers plus 6inch lift? Awesome videos keep em coming . Great work
Never measured it actually. But with the six inch lift and 38s it is fairly big. Notice a big difference from my 35s.
@@JonHolovach doing similar build . Trying to fit into a 7ft 2 garage clearance lol .
So its been 2 years since this was made so that should be plenty of time to know the answer to this question i have. I am reading theres a discrepancy in depth to the input shaft between the LS motors and the old motors. The bellhousings are the same, but the LS motors have a different input shaft length that the stock pilot bearing cannot support. (Im not saying it was replaced with a stock bearing, just that im reading it will fail if you do). Did you have a premature input shaft failure on this truck with that bearing or did it work out ok? Supposedly the ls2/ls7 pilot bearings would support the input shaft adequately.
No issues I used a bearing for a 2005 2500hd with a 6L and nv4500. Worked good no issues so far.
Did you have any work done to your NV4500 before you put it in? Or do you usually go pretty easy on the thing? I’m putting one behind my 6.5 diesel and hear horror stories of other people’s breaking
Didn’t do a thing to it. Came from a 90s high mileage diesel
It does grind going into third if I am rough on it and it has worked well for me. Was a great swap to do.
Thank you sir 😊
