Wide Quilt Binding - Using Backing Fabric

  • You can use your backing material to bind your quilt, and you can make it as wide and chunky as you want if you leave some of the batting around the edges of your quilt. I don't like wasting fabric, so this is a nice option to have if you like your backing fabric and you want to finish the project quicker. I learned this method from Lorena's Quilting channel, but I was able to modify it for myself so that I can get even wider binding with mitered corners. I will link her tutorial below.

    If u used that for a front and wuilted right on the line You would never know. When i piece a center like that ., i monogram a big piece with my name and date so it will live forever after other people get it then give it to good will
