My 10 year old is making a baby quilt for his art teacher. It's all his own design and chosen fabrics. He HATES binding. This was so much easier for him. He saw the video and just went to town. Thank you❤
I just finished my first quilt for my first great grandchild. After watching so many videos and getting so overwhelmed, your video eased my anxiety about finishing it well. Well, it turned out beautiful!
Binding is the aspect of quilt making I find the hardest and least enjoyable. Thank you for what looks like a MUCH better method than struggling with binding strips.
Surely this makes way more sense than all that traditionally faffing? I feel like quilting needs modernised in the way you’ve shown for the younger generations like me wanting to quilt! Thank you for this! It’s making my first quilt seem way easier 😊
I’m making my 1st quilt and was so overwhelmed when I thought of binding it. Since I’ve watched your video, I’m now excited to use the method you taught. Clear directions, and close ups were great. Thank you!
Thanks! As a self-taught quilter, this is how I have been binding my quilts since I started quilting about 15 years ago. I never thought about using glue to hold down the fabric, though!
Thank you for showing this technique and the options for sewing it down by either hand-sewing or machine stitching. When it comes to quilting, I love to see my options!
Decobob is my go-to thread for piecing and everything else. Light gray works with everything...even dark fabrics because the thread is so fine. (an STRONG). Tool Tip: A pair of eagle beak precision tweezers work really well for grabbing, flattening and turning fabric at corners.
I haven’t done this for some time, but I’m gonna start doing this on my project Linus Quilts. Thank you for a reminder on how to go about it. It is very tricky though not to cut the backing fabric by mistake.
It’s exactly what I need to do,understand it clearly. Just did a hot pod, love this method.thank you I’ll probably do all my pot holders this way. Did subscribe.🇨🇦
Is there a possibility that the glue would degrade and mark the binding over time? I might test and wash before using? Beautifully simple trim! I love it!
I cannot thank you enought for this. I had two quilt tops from my great grandmother (I am 69 years old). I took them to a quilt shop and had them sandwich. I did not know how to do binding and they suggested this but I did not know the details. This saved the day! Would love to know what glue you are using.
This was so clear and easy to understand! Thank you!
Exactly what I’ve been looking for! Clear, cheerful and oh-so- helpful!
