I just finished my first quilt for my first great grandchild. After watching so many videos and getting so overwhelmed, your video eased my anxiety about finishing it well. Well, it turned out beautiful!
This was so clear and easy to understand! Thank you!
Why doesn't everyone do it like this!!!! This was easy to do and easy to understand. Thank you from the bottom of my heart..
I’m making my 1st quilt and was so overwhelmed when I thought of binding it. Since I’ve watched your video, I’m now excited to use the method you taught. Clear directions, and close ups were great. Thank you!
So glad to hear that! This method is so much easier and less time consuming than binding strips :)
😊
What kind of glue stick do you use
Binding is the aspect of quilt making I find the hardest and least enjoyable. Thank you for what looks like a MUCH better method than struggling with binding strips.
Exactly what I’ve been looking for! Clear, cheerful and oh-so- helpful!
Where has this technique been all my life????!!!!
Thanks! As a self-taught quilter, this is how I have been binding my quilts since I started quilting about 15 years ago. I never thought about using glue to hold down the fabric, though!
This is an amazing video! I used this to show my granddaughter (who is only 7!), and her 3x3 quilt turned out beautifully🤗
Excellent video I never thought of using the glue to help hold the finding in place until it was sewn thank you so much this video was so informative
This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much for being so clear with every step.
Wow, excellent video!
I especially like the glue & the thread tips.
Thank you!
This looks like it's a complete game changer for me! Once I try it, I cannot imagine I will ever do a quilt another way. Awesome video! ❤
I've been quilting for decades but never tried this method. Thanks so much. Those corners are just perfect!
Glad it was helpful!❤️
Clearest, simplistic tutorial on this binding method I've ever seen. I don't mind traditional binding but this technique is really handy for smaller projects and projects you need to knock out fairly quickly like charity quilts.
Absolutely, it's really fast and easy.
Thank you for the easy to follow video.
I think this such a great way to bind my small quilts.
It is indeed! 🥰
Thank you! I watched this and immediately used the technique on the baby quilt I'd made. It turned out beautifully.
Greatly appreciate your tutorial on the backing binding.
I’m finishing my first quilt ever and this was such a great help thank you!
This is just the video I was looking for...thank you!
You're welcome, glad we could give you the info you needed!
THIS IS AWESOME. Binding has always been hard for me.
Great tutorial. Thank you.
I watched quite a few videos on this method. I appreciate your attention to detail, and great camera work. And your nails coordinate with the fabric!
Thank you so much! Really glad to hear this video was helpful to you :)
Very useful tutorial. Thank you
This is exactly what I was looking for! A much better, easier and cleaner looking method! Thank you for this video!🥰
Decobob is my go-to thread for piecing and everything else. Light gray works with everything...even dark fabrics because the thread is so fine. (an STRONG).
Tool Tip: A pair of eagle beak precision tweezers work really well for grabbing, flattening and turning fabric at corners.
This method is just what I’ve been looking for for my baby quilts. Can’t wait to try it!
Thank you so much for this video.
Thank you! Of all the videos out there on mitered corners when using self binding this one is the simplest, clearest, and easiest. Kudos to you :-)
I just learned about this method yesterday. And I think I would love this.
Thank you for showing me how to do this way of binding I was particulary looking for the mitred corners. Thank you very much. Form the UK😊
Great tutorial
This method works great! I used it for one quilt that I made for my daughter and now I found your video again so I can follow it for my son's quilt.
Thank you! Also, your wedding/engagement ring is beautiful! I had to pause the video to check it out. I love the swirl! Kudus to the designer!
Just what I needed. Thank you for such perfect instructions
Oh my gracious, this is just wonderful. Used it for Christmas placemats. I will use it over and over again, Thank you, thank you.
That's so wonderful to hear! Glad this video could help you!
Fantastic! I’m going to use this when I’m making pot holders.
This worked great and my corners were perfect!
Definitely going to do this when I make my sewinng machine mat!
The best!!! Thank you so "sew" much!!
I see what you did there! 🤣😍
Thank you so much ❤
Thank you. Ive been looking for something like this for my potholders.
Thank you for showing this technique and the options for sewing it down by either hand-sewing or machine stitching. When it comes to quilting, I love to see my options!
I really like the fabric you used 🤩🤩🤩
I haven’t done this for some time, but I’m gonna start doing this on my project Linus Quilts. Thank you for a reminder on how to go about it. It is very tricky though not to cut the backing fabric by mistake.
Is there a possibility that the glue would degrade and mark the binding over time? I might test and wash before using?
Beautifully simple trim! I love it!
Fantastic short video! Thank you so much!
Really helpful! Thank you for easing my mind about finishing my quilt project. :-)
Thank you so much this is just what I was looking for. Total game changer!
Thank you so much this is what I’ve been looking for this method and you explained it so well
Excellent video! Clear explanations with great camera work. Thanks!
Thank you so so much!! I’m a 17 year old quilter and I could not bind my quilts good enough until this video
Glad we could help!😍😍
My first quilt! And your method if binding looks so easy. --Can we use any kind of gluestick or is there a special kind for quilting?
It’s exactly what I need to do,understand it clearly.
Just did a hot pod, love this method.thank you I’ll probably do all my pot holders this way.
Did subscribe.🇨🇦
Excellent! Trying this, but I think I'll make my thread a feature and use a decorative stitch. 😊
Great video
Thank you, will certainly follow your instructions now!
Love it.
Just subscribed.

Joined following and watching as I'm new to patchwork and learning how to do this thankyou.
You're very welcome! Glad to help :D
I cannot thank you enought for this. I had two quilt tops from my great grandmother (I am 69 years old). I took them to a quilt shop and had them sandwich. I did not know how to do binding and they suggested this but I did not know the details. This saved the day! Would love to know what glue you are using.
Just what I was looking for .
Thanks for your tutorial. 😊
Fabulous! Thank you so much for this tutorial
I can’t wait to try this. I suck at traditional binding. Praying this is my answer 💚💚 Thank you
Hope you make it work!! 🔥🔥
This technique was so easy and looks great!
Thank you. This saved a quilt.
Great! Thank you.
You're so welcome! 🥰
This is perfect! I've started 6" quilt as you go blocks, but once I quilted one, I realised I didn't know how to fold the corners of the binding (backing) properly. Thanks so much :)
Glad this could help you out!
Wow beutiful thankyou.
Thank You.
thanks a lot, this was very helpful, because binding is really not the easiest part
Great !!! Great idea!!! Thank you.
This was really helpful in finishing up my first quilt! Thank you!
Thank you for this great very clear technique. This is now going to be my go-to method for smaller projects such as placemats etc. My hands suffer greatly from the flipping method, plus it's a much nicer finish :)
Glad this video helped! 🤗🤗
LOL. I did this for YEARS before I knew it was a thing. I was brand new to quilting and didn't understand how to cut fabric on the bias for binding strips. So I "cheated" by doing this instead 😂
Great video! I get it so easy to follow.
This was so easy to do! Thanks so much! I'll do all my quilts like this from now on!😄
You're so welcome! ❤️
So happy I found this how to! I plan to try it on the quilt i'm working on. Thank you!
You're welcome, glad this video could help!
Wonderful tutorial! Never would've thought to use glue to hold the folds in place. Will try this on my next mug rug. Thank you!
Oh now that's just awesome!!
Fabulous tutorial 👍👍
Exactly what I needed. Thank you!
Thank you for posting this video - looks VERY easy !!
Glad to help!😍
Beautiful! Love it! I prefer a wider border, will try 2”. Thank you!
How did a 2" border work?
This just makes so much sense! Great tutorial, thank you
Wonderful video! 💖.I especially like that you used a glue stick to help hold down the binding!! I am using your method tomorrow to finish a charity quilt that will be given to a patient in the hospital Christmas morning. Thank you so very much for your clear accurate instructions! I subscribed !!! 💖💖
That is so wonderful to hear! Good luck with your binding, we're really glad we could help you out!
Thank you for this video. Very clear explanation and demonstration.
Favorite video for self binding, thank you!
Thank you, this exactly what I needed!
Super useful video, thank you.
Excellent tutorial!
Super easy, super simple, brilliant! 😀Thank you!
Glad you liked it!❤️
Thank you so much. This has helped me so. I like to use the backing. I sure appreciate it.
This was exactly what I was looking for. Thank your for a wonderful demonstration and simple, easy to follow directions. I can not wait to complete my quilts with this style of binding….so much simpler than dealing with trying to making bias.
Glad it was helpful! Hope you finish making a wonderful quilt!😘
Thanks for this. I've just bound a wool quilt made from pieces of felted sweaters. On hindsight maybe a slightly wider binding would have been better due to the varied thickness of the materials used.
Excellent. Thank you
Fantastic, thank you. Just what I was looking for too.
This is great! Just what I needed and looks pretty easy. Thanks for the video!
Great video. Just what I needed. Thank you
Thank you for this! Super helpful for a baby quilt I needed to finish sooner than later and really didn't want to do bias binding on.
Glad it was helpful!💕
