I'm 62 years old and finally have a home of my own with my fiance and for the longest time it was chaos in my mind on what to clean where to clean etc. Since watching you, I've been watching you for quite a while, I am more organized and more thorough in my cleaning. Definitely suggest an air purifier if you do not already have one, especially with all the construction around your home. Just a thought if your girls have lots of stuffed animals, or fabric pieces that do not get cleaned frequently like couch pillows or decorative bedding pillows. Hope you can find some answers😊

Great idea! I have a large one in my living room and a smaller one in my bedroom.
But it’s important to run the air purifier when you’re not in the room because the air purifier brings in pathogens to the filter and you don’t wanna be breathing that in. And you definitely don’t want to run it when a window or door is open because it’s gonna bring in the pathogens from the outside in.

When we moved into our brand new home, we had similar symptoms. It was from chemicals in the carpets. Over time it disappeared. Allegra helps alot. Claritin did for a while, but Allegra did wonders. Hope it helps. Thank you for all of your extremely motivational videos!!

I had allergy testing a few years ago and dust was one of my allergens. I get allergy shots and also rotate between Zyrtec, Claritin and Allegra. My doctor believes roaring every 2 weeks helps not to become immune to a certain allergy med. So far that’s helping.

Things DEF go differently for me when I have a plan. I agree on the mind/body connection :)

For me those days are Wednesdays and Sundays--my typical days off. I am a Licensed Optician & GM for Visionworks, so naturally, we have retail hours. I always, unless I'm on vacation, work on Saturdays. I find I'm more energized and focused on my days off, because I have so little time to get it all done! I usually come home in the evenings knackered, and while I might tidy things up around the house, I save the bulk of my housework and errand-running, for my days off.
For me, my most productive day is Saturday. I think it's just programmed in me from growing up when my mom use to do her cleaning and grocery shipping all on Saturday. That was the day she made me and my siblings clean up too. Creature of habit I guess because I've tried on other days but something about this Saturdays and I'm just so use to the routine of it all! I hope you, Mike and the girls have a terrific rest-of-the-week and Easter holiday!!

I am no expert at all, but something that was suggested to us when we moved into our new build was have our vents and hvac system cleaned out. I’m so glad we did, because there was a lot of drywall bits, and building debris/dust. I also thought if you keep having spots appearing on your face and neck to try a different pillowcase or mild detergent (allergen free) detergent on your sheets. I hope you keep getting better!

I know, that what works best for me, is wearing a mask, when dusting, it won’t prevent 100% the dust particles from entering your nose/mouth but I find it helps. Especially if you don’t use a swifter to trap the dust when dusting. Give it a try! It helps with running nose/eyes/throat. My husband has the same allergy.hope this helps! Love ya videos!

One suggestion I would give for helping with your allergies would be switching from a bagless vacuum to a bag vacuum (especially if you’re vacuuming every day). I have a Miele bag vacuum and I love it 😊

Jamie, I used to have 24/7 allergies. I was tested on my back and dust mites was one that showed up. Which is common. I took allergy shots weekly for 2 years. I don’t know if they helped that much. Eventually they just got better and I’m no longer miserable. I had a sinus scan and it turned out ok. But I also did the rinses, and still do at times. I pray that you get yours figured out.
Hi Jamie 👋 I just wanted to say, when we moved into our new build, we had the same symptoms like you! Very itchy, break outs, sneezing etc. We ended up getting 2 air purifiers for downstairs. Our air filters are all upstairs above the stairwell. It is supposed to pull all the dust up through the stairs, but it doesn't 😅. So, we switched to allergen filters and these new air purifiers! It has worked sooooo much better. We aren't sneezing as much, and there isn't as much dust everywhere, like before. It did, fortunately, get better when the builders were finished on our street. I will suggest that you get air purifiers for the areas furthest from your air filters, as that is the place that collects dust in my house as well. For me, it's my bathroom and closet. Fingers crossed that you get all the allergy symptoms under control and feel better soon! 😊

If you can try to wear gloves at times when deep cleaning & I would also say maybe hold off on the pillow mist.
My go to face cream is first aid rescue! Give it a try and best of luck with figuring out your triggers, I know it can be frustrating!

Have you had an autoimmune workup? Your primary care can order some blood tests to make sure this isn’t an autoimmune disease that’s flaring up and you’re thinking it’s allergies! Worth checking into! Hope you get it figured out ❤
Happy Thursday! My kitchen is almost done! Cabinets, trim and appliances are all installed and finished! . Countertops to be installed April 10th and then backsplash. My Dad and I are flying to Fort Wayne on Monday as my mom is having knee replacement surgery on April 2nd. I’m staying for three weeks to help her and teleworking the time I’m there too. Then I will fly back to Florida April 19th.

Great video. I’m sorry that I just got to this. I keep Shannon’s dog on many occasions and this past week our mail lady ran over him. He was the sweetest Lhasa Apso and he had 14 wonderful years. I’m going to truly miss him. I couldn’t do anything for one week then I snapped out of it.

One thing I learned this year is to watch my sugar intake whether that’s with beverages or food. Fiber and protein have been my biggest source for intake because those are the two areas I really focus on. However I try to watch my diet in all other aspects as well such as am I getting enough potassium vitamin c ect.
I love the way that when you vacuum your bedroom carpet, when you are done, it looks like the sunshine 🌞Thanks for another encouraging video. On the breakfast sandwiches, maybe try silicone cupcake cups instead, they might be sturdier.

I had the same issues with allergies and we found out our home's furnace filter was the wrong size. We get the highest MERV filter that actually fits the furnace you can get and change it every month or 2 and it's helped a lot.
I enjoy watching you do your work out , I have back problems so I do walking when I started I was doing a 1 mile walk and now I’m doing 4 miles, I try going every day, but I do have days that I can’t, as I suffer from chronic pain. I damaged discs in my neck and lower back, so I just go on days that I can get out there and walk my summer routine is swimming, my complex has a lg pool outside one inside and 3 pools that are 5 ft , I live in central California, so our summers are hot we can get up to 113 degrees out so once the heat starts, my walking stops and I am in the swimming pool. I definitely enjoy your videos and getting to hear you talk about your work out, by the way have you tried the pillow zip covers that keep dust mites from your pillows. My kids having asthma and that was a thing that was recommended to me for them. ❤
For the allergies, try wearing a mask while you’re cleaning. My son has really bad allergies, mostly cedar, elm, mold and dust mites. I clean my home all the time, but we live in an old house and he still suffers from year long allergies and eczema. At this point, I’m hoping he grows out of it because nothing really helps. We even have air purifiers in our home.
Hey Jamie I agree with wearing a mask when you’re cleaning I don’t seem to have to do it if I’m in the bathrooms but I also got an ozone cleaner on my main floor and a HEPA filter air cleaner upstairs I think it’s helped a lot.

Loved the extra video this week! Several of us have allergies in my house but a few years ago my deodorant started breaking me out. I had been using it for years and all of a sudden I was allergic to it. Same thing happened with some face lotion last year and I had some itchy dry spots on my face from that. Weird and frustrating at the same time.

As far as the alleriges- it makes a difference for me to wear a mask while I clean. Doesn't get rid of all the allergen exposure, but definitely helps! Can also help to increase the frequency of changing your furnace filter

You should look into Organic Baking Soda. Standard baking soda is full of heavy metals. It’s not in my budget to use anything organic right now, but in the past that’s what i learned and did. I will go back to it whenever my budget allows again

Hi Jamie! Have you seen those TikToks of people who've made cleaning carts? I have a four-level split house and I ordered one that should be delivered today; I'm so excited! I'm hoping that it works well for me and helps to get some of the clutter out from under my sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms. I have a "cleaning closet" in my office (top level of my house) and I think the cart will fit perfectly in there. I'm SO excited to get it all set up with my favorite products, but I am a little concerned that it'll be a bear to get up and down all the steps in my house. I only really clean three of the four levels; the basement level is the "man cave" and the utility areas, so my husband takes care of those himself. Just curious to see if you've considered something like that for your products and tools 😀

The most common place dust mites appear are the mattress and the fan. I clean and vacuum weekly as well so it’s not usually a problem. My sister also has allergies but to certain foods and animals

If you are having issues with dust mites, the best thing I can recommend is a Rainbow SRX! It is an air purifier like no other. It’s certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, its designed to run 24/7 in your home cleaning dirt, dander, dead skin cells, DUST MITES and their fecal matter out of your air.
