They take surplus crafting supplies and do free programs with children in poorer areas who don’t have much in the way of enrichment activities. If there’s something similar near Mira she might get a great sense of satisfaction donating a lot of the paper etc that will be hard for her to use up.
I absolutely love that idea! I'm sure there's got to be something around here like that and I think she really would love to just give some of her supplies away for an awesome cause like that!

Yes- we donate to the local elementary school and I love the idea of sharing goods with those who cannot afford this or might not naturally access it in their world. Great idea and thanks for sharing as it makes me more aware.

Mira, I am neurodivergent myself, with emotional stuff I'm still dealing with, plus I'm an artistic type with a huge love of anything involving music, cooking, journaling, scrapbook paper, markers, etc. And I am in a small-ish space, so I absolutely have to watch how much I order from places like Temu, Amazon, etc. So I totally understand how things can quite literally pile up and overwhelm. 🤗 I'm so glad you were able to bring in a helpful person that was there as a supportive soul who didn't judge. Judgmental people have zero idea how much their judgments re-trigger everything and set others back. It's why I love the sentiment of: "Be kind. Some people are fighting battles you cannot see." Sadly my house is the same, well worse , I'm a Craft hoarder and literally have no room anywhere in my house, after over 15 years of collecting craft supplies I will "hopefully" with God and my families help I will be starting to declutter and clean out my craft home. Hopefully... it's hard when you have depression, anxiety, adhd, fibromyalgia and other health issues, thank you for this video it gave me a bit of hope!
You sound very similar to Mira and all that she's dealing with. It is so hard to find that motivation when you are depressed, anxious, have ADHD and other health issues. I am actually working on my next video right now which will be all about helping a friend or family member who is struggling. I'm hoping it inspires more people to look for ways to help people in their community. It sounds like you have family around who could possibly help you and that's great. It's sad to think about the people who have no family or friends around to help and are just struggling alone. I wish you the best and I'm glad this video gave you a little hope!🥰🙏

You are awesome. I can see this room becoming discombobulated again. Trash cans for recycling and trash in general need to be put in there, and a quick tidy after working in the room would help. I hope she keeps the clean going because it looks like it can be an awesome space to craft in. ❤❤ if she buys something, she needs to put it away instead of just putting it down.
I expect that any kind of craft room becomes a little out of control sometimes. Hopefully it never gets this out of control again.😊 The fact that she is getting rid of so much will definitely help. This was a great video! I loved the folding. I have terrible spatial skills and it makes me bad at folding, but I’m going to try to remember how you did those blankets. We have approximately one million blankets, quilts, and throws in this house, and they’d take up less room and look nicer folded that way, so thanks! I don’t mind doing laundry, but I’m such a sloppy folder.

I enjoyed watching this video. I love helping people clean and organize their rooms, especially their craft rooms. Also, YES! I watched you fold the laundry too. I also love folding the towels and blanket/quilts in the Trifold design. FYI! When you fold a blanket/quilt in the trifold way, try putting them inside the matching shams, if it is not to thick. This will allow them to be stored and found together or displayed on the guest bed ready to use.
I am a scrapbooker so I recognize so much in that room. A couple of years ago I purged and organized my room. It feels so great and I can honestly say nothing was missed. This is great work and you are great😊

As I am a fellow crafter I know only too well how easy it is to firstly accumulate many supplies and how difficult it is to keep them in order, it’s a constant battle. I have one video where I show how to fold fitted sheets and there is another video of a free cleaning where the lady was a massage therapist and had a massive amount of sheets, so I was teaching my helper that day how to fold fitted sheets, which a lot of people found even more helpful because I was actually teaching someone in real life. But, I have a couple of videos that I haven't even put out yet because I just haven't had the time to focus on anything other than my regular content and then the videos I do for my members each week, but after this week I will have a couple of weeks to get caught up on that stuff, so hopefully you will be seeing some more laundry videos soon because they are pretty satisfying.😅
Scrapbooker here from the UK , sadly the hobby is not as big as it was in the 90/2000 here , but there are a few of us still hanging in there . It's such an important hobby that it's sad it's not done more .

Mine was, I purged everything I had not used in 3 years! Gave a ton away, put a ton in the blessing boxes around town, and rented a dumpster for the rest. Took 3 weeks and now it’s totally cleaned and organized!

As a scrapbooker, I’m 3 minutes in and spotting soooo many treasures! Lots of collections and items that are no longer manufactured but still in demand ❤
Just curious, not asking in a mean way. Once you scrap book vacations, family stuff, make one for friends or family, what else would she need all this stuff for? Seems like she could donate a lot of it and still have plenty but maybe I’m not thinking outside the box.
As a crafter, we always buy way more than we will ever use.... The saying goes crafting and collecting crafting supplies are two separate hobbies.... lol... but seriously, I learned the hard way, too much stuff is never used... selling rarely ever covers the original cost and not even worth the hassle ... and the worst part of a craft hoard, is crafting supplies have an expiration date and become unuseable.
Very good question. She actually does a great job of explaining all of that on her version of the Scrapbook room. I linked it in the description if you want to go check that out. But, yes, she is definitely getting rid of a ton of this stuff. She just needs more time to go through it. I know she's been working hard on going through boxes this last couple of weeks and I'm heading back up there on Wednesday to try to put things away a little better now that she has gone through so much of it.

I am not a fan of folding laundry in general....but I enjoyed watching you fold Mira's clothes. Especially the way you folded the blankets...what a great way to space save and make it look neat and easier to store. Also on the note regards clear bins... Mira is a Butterfly (Cas the Clutterbug) so clear storage bins are definitely a Butterfly. Good for keeping the craft supply papers fresh! Have you taken Cas the Clutterbug quiz?
Oh, thank you! And, no, I haven't taken the Clutterbug quiz. Mira did mention that she is a butterfly and, though I don't know all of the types, I do know that generally people with ADHD need to have stuff in clear storage or they forget they have it. It makes sense. I don't think it's financially feasible to put everything in clear storage right now because she has so many other cute colorful bins that would need to be replaced, but I think a good chunk of it we can get into clear storage bins for her. I'm going back to her house on Wednesday to put things in a little better order now that she has decluttered some more and I've got some clear storage bins I will be bringing with me.😊
Completely agree regards not buying new storage containers, I am firm believer in using what you have, perhaps other rooms have "extra" clear bins. I rewatched your video again and regards to the paper organization it occurred to me that rainbow colors in the existing bins might be a fun visual way to store items. Ie red in one bin, orange in another. Similar tot eh way Hoarders Heart (also ADHD) arranges her clothes closet. I know Mira said she watched Hoarders Heart.

Yep. I watched the entire video including the laundry part. Now I saw how those tucked folds actually work. Yay! What an amazing thing to do for Mira and others. First time seeing your channel. Many times people do not realize the trauma of major life changes on a person. I experienced significant deaths in fairly close proximity and other life changes - including 2020. Few had the capacity to truly understand and be compassionate to help and allow for what I was going through. So I do understand that kind of thing. Sounds like you have a new friendship with Mira? And that water bottle? Dogs sure like them. I saw once where you place the bottle in a sock, tie the top of the sock off and they just love playing with them. My dogs have been a bit too aggressive in tearing it up. I think I took the caps off the bottles. But at some point I take them away from the dogs for safety sake. Cute doggos! Thank you both for sharing and for Mira being honest and brave enough to share. I’m sure others are helped in one way or another❤❣️
Yes, I'm definitely coming to understand how much trauma can play a role in mental health. Someone can be perfectly fine one day and then sink into a deep depression for years because of a traumatic event. It's really sad to see. I'm sorry about your losses.😔 I do have a great friend in Mira now! It's nice to have a friendship like this where we both benefit from each other's company. She is always fun to help. 💕
Bonnie, you are just a dynamo! I wish you could bottle that energy and sell some of it to me, lol. I think that you do more for Mira than just help her declutter - I think your loving companionship and acceptance of Mira as Mira has done her a world of good. Its so dangereous to have little dogs and to have a messy floor. They can swallow and cannot poop it and to take it out dog should have a big cut in operation. Bcareful pls. floor should be clean. Owner should take a good care of it. Bolt is hyper young and not like the white one. Pls. Inform the owner nothing on the floor must be a rule. If she drops detergend or pills or any other chemical probably he will find it. And thank you for great work!❤
This is so wonderful to see. I'm in that process. Not nearly as cluttered. I LOVE my craft room and have journal supplies, jewelry making, etc. It's organized mostly, but unfortunately, there is WAY too much stuff. And then it starts stealing your peace and joy. So purge is definitely key. It's very time-consuming, so I like the idea of just powering through. Can't wait until this week because I have the time set aside. I donated a lot of scrapbook supplies to our children’s hospital. They were very appreciative!
Public libraries and Salvation Army might also gladly accept art supplies

Sadly my house is the same, well worse , I'm a Craft hoarder and literally have no room anywhere in my house, after over 15 years of collecting craft supplies I will "hopefully" with God and my families help I will be starting to declutter and clean out my craft home. Hopefully... it's hard when you have depression, anxiety, adhd, fibromyalgia and other health issues, thank you for this video it gave me a bit of hope!
You sound very similar to Mira and all that she's dealing with. It is so hard to find that motivation when you are depressed, anxious, have ADHD and other health issues. I am actually working on my next video right now which will be all about helping a friend or family member who is struggling. I'm hoping it inspires more people to look for ways to help people in their community. It sounds like you have family around who could possibly help you and that's great. It's sad to think about the people who have no family or friends around to help and are just struggling alone. I wish you the best and I'm glad this video gave you a little hope!🥰🙏

I find washing clothes so relaxing so seeing you fold and organize the clothes, blankets and towels after such an overwhelming amount of organizing scrapbooking supplies was great!! The pups helped too! ❤
You are awesome. I can see this room becoming discombobulated again. Trash cans for recycling and trash in general need to be put in there, and a quick tidy after working in the room would help. I hope she keeps the clean going because it looks like it can be an awesome space to craft in. ❤❤ if she buys something, she needs to put it away instead of just putting it down.
I expect that any kind of craft room becomes a little out of control sometimes. Hopefully it never gets this out of control again.😊 The fact that she is getting rid of so much will definitely help. I'm heading back up there this week to organize things a little better after she has gone through many more boxes and gotten rid of a bunch of supplies.

This was a great video! I loved the folding. I have terrible spatial skills and it makes me bad at folding, but I’m going to try to remember how you did those blankets. We have approximately one million blankets, quilts, and throws in this house, and they’d take up less room and look nicer folded that way, so thanks! I don’t mind doing laundry, but I’m such a sloppy folder.

Just a suggestion …I recycle and when it comes to water bottles take the top off flatten it down then put the top back on save a ton of room.
Maybe ask your recyclers first - ours wants them untrusted & with the lids on - something to do with how their machines work

I also love folding the towels and blanket/quilts in the Trifold design. FYI! When you fold a blanket/quilt in the trifold way, try putting them inside the matching shams, if it is not to thick. This will allow them to be stored and found together or displayed on the guest bed ready to use.

I have been eagerly waiting for this video Bonnie as I saw Mira’s on Thursday and knew yours must be following shortly. As I am a fellow crafter I know only too well how easy it is to firstly accumulate many supplies and how difficult it is to keep them in order, it’s a constant battle. It was wonderful to see you take such care to go through every item and not just empty it all into the trash. Mira has some real treasures and even if she is not going to keep them all herself they will be much appreciated by someone else. I have one video where I show how to fold fitted sheets and there is another video of a free cleaning where the lady was a massage therapist and had a massive amount of sheets, so I was teaching my helper that day how to fold fitted sheets, which a lot of people found even more helpful because I was actually teaching someone in real life. But, I have a couple of videos that I haven't even put out yet because I just haven't had the time to focus on anything other than my regular content and then the videos I do for my members each week, but after this week I will have a couple of weeks to get caught up on that stuff, so hopefully you will be seeing some more laundry videos soon because they are pretty satisfying.😅

Just curious, not asking in a mean way. Once you scrap book vacations, family stuff, make one for friends or family, what else would she need all this stuff for? Seems like she could donate a lot of it and still have plenty but maybe I’m not thinking outside the box.

As a crafter, we always buy way more than we will ever use.... The saying goes crafting and collecting crafting supplies are two separate hobbies.... lol... but seriously, I learned the hard way, too much stuff is never used... selling rarely ever covers the original cost and not even worth the hassle ... and the worst part of a craft hoard, is crafting supplies have an expiration date and become unuseable.
Very good question. She actually does a great job of explaining all of that on her version of the Scrapbook room. I linked it in the description if you want to go check that out. But, yes, she is definitely getting rid of a ton of this stuff. She just needs more time to go through it. I know she's been working hard on going through boxes this last couple of weeks and I'm heading back up there on Wednesday to try to put things away a little better now that she has gone through so much of it.
I am so here for folding content. 😂 I always like to see if others do it the same way I do. I *love* the tuck-in technique and I'm going to use. I also love the 'vacuuming up tiny bits of things' content too lol. So satisfying. Thanks for all the sorting, cleaning, folding inspo! Just watching someone else inspires me to do it too. I'd forgotten how I actually like to fold laundry (origami). It's been just a daunting chore for a long time for me

I am not a fan of folding laundry in general....but I enjoyed watching you fold Mira's clothes. Especially the way you folded the blankets...what a great way to space save and make it look neat and easier to store.
Also on the note regards clear bins... Mira is a Butterfly (Cas the Clutterbug) so clear storage bins are definitely a Butterfly. Good for keeping the craft supply papers fresh! Have you taken Cas the Clutterbug quiz?
Oh, thank you! And, no, I haven't taken the Clutterbug quiz. Mira did mention that she is a butterfly and, though I don't know all of the types, I do know that generally people with ADHD need to have stuff in clear storage or they forget they have it. It makes sense. I don't think it's financially feasible to put everything in clear storage right now because she has so many other cute colorful bins that would need to be replaced, but I think a good chunk of it we can get into clear storage bins for her. I'm going back to her house on Wednesday to put things in a little better order now that she has decluttered some more and I've got some clear storage bins I will be bringing with me.😊
Completely agree regards not buying new storage containers, I am firm believer in using what you have, perhaps other rooms have "extra" clear bins. I rewatched your video again and regards to the paper organization it occurred to me that rainbow colors in the existing bins might be a fun visual way to store items. Ie red in one bin, orange in another. Similar tot eh way Hoarders Heart (also ADHD) arranges her clothes closet. I know Mira said she watched Hoarders Heart.

What an amazing thing to do for Mira and others. First time seeing your channel.
Many times people do not realize the trauma of major life changes on a person. I experienced significant deaths in fairly close proximity and other life changes - including 2020. Few had the capacity to truly understand and be compassionate to help and allow for what I was going through. So I do understand that kind of thing.
Sounds like you have a new friendship with Mira?
And that water bottle? Dogs sure like them. I saw once where you place the bottle in a sock, tie the top of the sock off and they just love playing with them. My dogs have been a bit too aggressive in tearing it up. I think I took the caps off the bottles. But at some point I take them away from the dogs for safety sake.

Yes, I'm definitely coming to understand how much trauma can play a role in mental health. Someone can be perfectly fine one day and then sink into a deep depression for years because of a traumatic event. It's really sad to see. I'm sorry about your losses.😔

I love watching the clothes being folded and look forward to the paper organization. You did wonders so far in the craft room. Clear bins are the best. I have them in my craft room. Yes I am a nerd.
Its so dangereous to have little dogs and to have a messy floor. They can swallow and cannot poop it and to take it out dog should have a big cut in operation. Bcareful pls. floor should be clean. Owner should take a good care of it. Bolt is hyper young and not like the white one. Pls. Inform the owner nothing on the floor must be a rule. If she drops detergend or pills or any other chemical probably he will find it. And thank you for great work!❤

This is so wonderful to see. I'm in that process. Not nearly as cluttered. I LOVE my craft room and have journal supplies, jewelry making, etc. It's organized mostly, but unfortunately, there is WAY too much stuff. And then it starts stealing your peace and joy. So purge is definitely key. It's very time-consuming, so I like the idea of just powering through. Can't wait until this week because I have the time set aside.
