I remember being at the concert of the decade, So many GREAT Aussi! bands. Sherbet/The Sherbs.. Iconic 70's. Love the Slipstream album. You will never see concerts like that again.
I was at that concert, standing in front of the other stage. There were 2 stages next to eachother, they alternated stages so there wasnt much disruption between bands.
This would have been late 70s ? The voice over man said they just came back from America . They changed their name in America to Highway because Sherbet is associated with candy over in the States.
Sherbet is also associated with confectionery here in the UK, yet no name change was needed here when Howzat was issued and reached the top five, and that was before their American visit.
Sherbet were the best Aussie band with so many hits, I was at this concert 44 years ago Forever a fan ❤

Long time ago but I recall standing top of botanical gardens stairs opposite the concert area. All a blur now. I was 22.
