- I don't think there's a round out there that would be inhibited by drywall. I think even the 22 calibri would go thru.
Nevertheless, I'm confident with my choice in home defense weapon and my skills with it.

Drywall isn’t going to stop anything
Did I miss when he talked about what length the barrel was? That’s very important when we talking about velocity and penetration. I seen videos talking about 300Blk and they don’t mention barrel length so we have to do the eye test.
I've mentioned it in other videos, but I should've mentioned it in this video. My apologies.
8.3" barrel
If you do a little checking, The factory 300 BLK Sub X is the only BLK Out round that is F.B.I. certified. That's why you get the performance that you are seeing.
Is this real? Did he really think that sheetrock stopped bullets? Like any bullets? Especially out of a rifle? My guy… the test is seeing how the bullets respond AFTER the gel.
Every man after watching this video:
Hey honey which wall do you want replaced?
Keymo really sucks. Plan to reload some Maker 220gr bullets eventually but I want to test those Sub-X's for cheapo defense rounds. Can't resist buying two boxes of 100 for load development but I still need to get an AR upper in 300blk as I'm still using a bolt action
Just got my suppressor approved for my 300blk build. Wondering why you went with 190gr and not the more common 220gr subsonics? Is the 190gr also 1000fps?
This past weekend I used the AAC 300blk 220gr Sierra MatchKing HPBT w/Cannelure in an indoor range and was blown away by how quiet it was. Also no recoil for my 5.5” Ratter Canebrake.
I tried the 208gr A-max and they didn't cycle. I tried regular 200gr winchester subsonics and they cycles just fine but they're not home defense.
I'm in the process of building another 300 blackout and will utilize an adjustable gas block so I'll be able to tune it to anything
@@andrewmconrad interesting. The 220gr did not cycle at first but luckily my Rattler has an exposed adjustable gas block so I increased the gas. Also to note I’m using a Huxwrx with flow through so there is no back pressure like a standard suppressor.
I also just received the AAC 208gr A-Max (1000fps) and going to test which works best for my setup +/- gas.
@@andrewmconrad
I tested the 208gr A-max in my rattler this weekend. They didn’t cycle for me either. The 220gr I mentioned above works great (with increased gas port).
I’m going to get some Hornady 190gr Sub-X (or higher grain if they make them) and test before I make a final decision which subsonic 300blk ammo to go with. I believe you said these are better for home defense (cause of expansion or mushrooming)? Although still penetrate walls in your testing.
What's the distance from where you were to the first "wall"?
Less than 25 yards
Subsonic 300 blackout will go through more walls than supersonic 300 blackout.

Supersonic 300 blackout will go through more walls than most 5.56.
What is the twist rate on that barrel
1:8 I believe
@@andrewmconrad might wanna go with 1:7 i've heard baffle strikes being caused by 1:8's with heavy sub rounds
Naw, you build 8x more now to see how many rooms it will go through…for Science 😅.
How bad was the baffle strike??
I didn't see any damage inside, but there was projectile in there. Could've been way worse, thankfully not the case
@@andrewmconrad ya, that could of been REAL BAD!! 🍀
Tried this ammo and made a mess in my gun. Looked like sand, and it was everywhere. Federal and Winchester ammo don't leave any filler crap. Only 3 brands I've tried so far.
Same, I shot one box and never again. I use CFE BLK powder and 190GR SUB-X bullets and get excellent performance.
I know your wife might give yah some more grief but I’d love to see what happens with the 110 grain varmint grenades. They’re super sonic but just seem to explode on impact with anything
You can see the smoke/unburnt powder coming from barrel and magwell. This is some of the dirtiest ammo I have used. The projectiles are great, I reload them using Viht N110. Awesome round. I will never buy the Hornady loaded ammo again. Nasty stuff.

"This is my home defense gun"
Bruh... did you check with an alignment rod or did you just full send?
Get sandbags if you want to stop rounds. Lol
IKR 😅
These videos just make me wonder just how screwed we are as a society. What results did you want? The round stopping in the drywall? A round that doesnt defeat drywall will do nothing against a person u less you hit the instant off switch which is nearly impossible during fight or flight high stress mode. Why trust your families life to a weak round that wont be effective against a threat? Use the most effective round and change your defense strategy around that round. If that means changing rooms you sleep in, then do it.
Depending on where you live, you have to be cognizant of the people living around you as well. The other thing is that if you have family sleeping in multiple rooms, you have to have firing limits, which can create its own set of challenges.
You knew drywall wasn’t gonna stop it, I’m sure, you just wanted to shoot drywall targets😂
22 colibri might not go through actually, but I would guess super colibri would - it is a lot faster
I knew it 😂, but wanted to test it to make sure.
