The more I'm seeing the 900 in action the more I'm liking it even over the Manticore. Thank you for the review... I noticed you got a 12 on the vdi in the field on your 900.. and you mentioned the things that you find in your country with Around 12 on the 800... . here in the states if you get 10 11 12 on the 800 the numbers easily could be a ring or gold the low conductor numbers and mid number conductions numbers produce a lot of good gold... so on the 900.. what would be equal or comparable to the 800's numbers in that range.🏴☠️
Thank you for this helpful video. My friend just ordered a 900, his first detector. He has been using my 800 and likes it but I think he made a good decision opting for the 900.
Great video... I have had a Whites DFX for the last 19 years... and its tones are going crazy... so i think its time for a new machine... And so far im thinking of buying a 900... I enjoy the beach mostly... Thanks again for the video... David in Boston Ma
Nice video. Looks like Minelab did there homework with all the quality upgrades on the new 700 and 900. I forsee these units selling like hotcakes. I'll certainly be buying one.
I started out detecting with a Fisher F44, I got use to the 0-99 VDI scale. I needed a machine to do salt water areas, so I bought an Equinox 600. I never quite got use to the 0-40 scale. I have a 700 ordered, and looking forward to wireless headphones and the -20 to 99 scale.
@@LostBoysRecovery my 700 is a big upgrade from the 600. It’s more stable over targets and recovery speed is better. The new expanded scale makes a huge difference. Still figuring out what targets are vs numbers, but I really like it so far..
Why didn’t ML speed up the auto noise cancel procedure from the older Nox machines? I noise cancel my Nox quite a bit during my hunt, as I detect in highly urban city parks with ever changing emi as I swing thru the park…….The Manticore’s noise cancel is so much faster…a big improvement from the Nox, and it can be programmed as a single button press. But for $600US more than a Nox 900, there’s bound to be quite a few more niceties on the Manticore. However, I do like the new added pinpoint functionality of the 700/900 (where the vdi will now update/change when in PP mode while moving your coil over collocated targets).
Greetings! Ancestors hail from Fife. Great review and I appreciate the real-world testing. I'm upgrading from an Garrett Ace Apex - which has been a decent machine. It sounds like going for the 900 rather than a used 800 would be the way to go, would you agree?
Both are the 800 and 900 are great machines and a big improvement on the Apex. My advice would be if your budget can stretch to the 900 then go for it, it’s the latest tech and a great machine 👍
Used my 900 today for the 1st time, dug 2 or 3 big iron lumps that i never dug with my 800, when i got back to the van i did a test and my 800 never picked it up,(horseshoe off) but it was a really sharp signal on the 900, worrying...im very familiar with the Noxes, Noxi, they, them, or whatever its collective pronouns are, had 8 hours on it today and tbh not a great improvement on the 800 tbh. Apart from turning on quicker.
I just purchased the 900 today it’s been great I found a ring and 7 coins on the beach! I love it and I’m a amateur

The 800 is a fantastic machine, the 900 is a new and improved version so I’m sure he can’t go wrong. I wish him well with his new machine.

What about deep iron ?? responding with high tones whatever the angle ??
Haven't had any issues with iron yet, and definitely not false tones regarding iron.
Like comparing Windows 7 to Windows 11. Rapid. More scope.
Hay you..
Thank you, but too much talking.
background music is annoying
Thanks for your constructive criticism 👍
