My favorite Nick/Charlie kiss, and in this season there were many, was the one Nick gave to Charlie's forehead after Charlie promised to tell him if things ever got bad enough that he thought about self harm. It was the most pure, the most tender, and the most loving. It was like Nick was cradling Charlie's head in his hands and trying to help sooth and comfort Charlie's cruelly wounded mind with a healing kiss.

6:38 YES!!! This is my favorite scene this season. Kit’s acting is spot on. Everything just perfect: the way he delivered the line with just that hint of a smile and teasing. Brilliant!
5:47 the actress who plays Imogen is actually afraid of heights so that’s her real fear.
Elle’s style this season is fire. She’s so gorgeous!
in the scene where issac realizes he’s aroace, the song “crush culture” by conan gray is playing. it’s basically an anti-love song and i think it fits really well with the situation (conan grays song “people watching” about wanting to feel love is also playing when they go shopping for the dance)
The actor who plays Ben said "I want to punch his face, and it's my face" and he was banned from tiktok for bullying Ben Hope. 🤭 Ben really thought Charlie was somehow swayed by Nick or something. As if Charlie can't make decisions for himself. Plus, we know that Charlie broke up with Ben way before he and Nick even became friends, let alone boyfriends.
Charlie's ED has been hinted at for a while. Very subtly in the first season (Charlie turns down offers of food several times, he only sort of stirs his breakfast but doesn't eat it, he opens his lunchbox and then closes it immediately etc) but more overt in this season (he says he has eaten/will eat somewhere else when people ask, he leaves pretty much full plates all the time etc).
Yeah, Harry does seem to have improved a little in his behaviour, but he still makes mean remarks all the time. So he's better than he was, but he still has a long way to go. His apology sounded very insincere, he sounded like he just wanted in on the party, but at the same time I see he's trying to be a bit better too. So I guess Harry should keep trying to improve, and he might eventually actually be accepted by Nick and Charlie.
I love how the leaves show up for Isaac when he realises he might be aro/ace. The leaves aren't just romance/love, they're also realisation.
You said it. It's sad for Ben that he can't come out and that his parents are sh!t, but he still has no right to treat anyone like he treated Charlie. Honestly, Ben's apology was still all about Ben, and not about Charlie. I'm glad that Charlie got to tell Ben how badly he fncked up, but Ben had no right to force Charlie to listen to him. Ben basically stalked Charlie, digitally and irl, to make him listen, even though Charlie completely ignored him. He also doesn't really seem to understand what it was that he did. I don't think he understands that what he did to Charlie was abusive, gaslighting, and SA. Because when Charlie talks about their first kiss Ben smiled. He seems to have zero consideration for Charlie. Not then, and not now. Ben wants a kiss, or Ben wants to give an apology, and he never even thinks about what Charlie wants, or needs. He treated Charlie like a convenient prop instead of a human being. Ben has a long long way to go, and he may get there, but he has a lot of work to do.
Nick and Charlie have been very open now, but this is a lot. Charlie needs help, professional help for his ED, and Nick is also just a 16 year old. He can't help Charlie in that way. He can support him, but he can't do all of it. So I get why Charlie feels like he would be burdening Nick if he told him everything. Nick's little worried face after Charlie leaves makes me so sad.
i love how you can see that Tao is changing for the better. We know he has abandonment issues and his mind always goes there, but instead of texting Elle about leaving them, he decided to be supportive instead. Love the Tao character development. It is subtle but its there🤭💕

as someone who has dealt with (and is still dealing with ) an eating disorder, it broke my heart to see Charlie suffering. I suffer from anorexia and I also binge eat. A lot of people think that ppl with anorexia just want to be skinny and lose weight. And others sometimes view binge eating as a fat person. But there is so much that goes into these disorders. Similar to Charlie, I sometimes eat less as a form of control over my body, and when Im dealing with body image issues. I binge eat when I feel super stressed and anxious as a way to cope and calm me down. People need to look out for signs, cuz if no one notices when someone's eating habits change rapidly, it can quickly become a problem and it is so hard to break that habit

you know what the funniest thing it, its the fact that Tao and Elle already acted like a couple before. They already were linking arms and holding hands, the only thing they do different now is that they kiss😭🤭

Omg! That ending had me bawling my eyes out. Nick really is the perfect person for Charlie and everyone deserves to have a “Nick Nelson” in their life. I love their relationship so much. They support each other through everything ❤. Hope you’re doing ok after that ending babe. Loved watching you react to this show. Heartstopper really is a magnificent combination of emotional damage and emotional healing all rolled up into one package...
So firstly, you're amazing. Congrats again on the 10K, so well earned!
My favourite scenes from these last 4 episodes:
1.Nick and Charlie's consent and intimacy expectations in the hotel room. So respectful and full of vulnerability and trust - perfect modelling for anyone in a committed intimate relationship.
2. The reCHARging scene and Nick's rizz on the Eiffel Tower - actual goosebumps.
3. Nick and Tao's conversation at prom - so full of vulnerability and trust. Their friendship is so awesome. It sounds like Nick would like to have Tao as a friend who protects his friend loudly. I know Nick will need that next season.
4. Elle's painting of the art room of Truham where the four of them met and used to hang when she was going through difficult times at the all bous school. The idea of it came from two places - the painting she saw in the Louvre of the four people around a table, and Tao's 'landscape' painting in season 1 with the tree and the four of them stood under it. She even has the art room painted tree on the left. It's also a call back to Tao and Isaac's first scene where Tao talks about missing them being a group of 4 and his entire arc of worrying that they'll fall apart as changes happen among them. I love Elle's reassurance to him in this that they will always be a solid friendhsip group - safe space.
5. Charlie's confidence in standing his ground to Ben. He says he feels worthless because of Ben, but in this scene he is valuing himself and validating his hurt and pain from that relationship. Ben doesn’t even seem to really know what he's apologising for - his delusional ideas about their relationship all season shows that he has not understood any of the affect his mental and physical abuse had on Charlie. He has a long way to go on his self-awareness as a person nevermind his sexuality. Even in his apology he still saw Charlie as a thing he could own, not a person. "You were something good" " you stole him from me" he thinks he can treat Charlie badly and that he still has a right to have him. I hope what Charlie said to him will help on his self-awareness journey - though that journey can last a long long time.
6. Anyway, also loved Nick standing up to his father and brother - "I like my life. I like who I am" - such freaking perfect, self-affirming lines!
7. The friendship party dancing and partying while Seven plays in the back ground - they are all literallly safe havens for each other.
8. Nick and Charlie's conversation as Nick delicately coaxes Charlie to share his pain with him. Charlie sad but dry eyed and Nick in tears - like Charlie can't yet cry for himself and he sees that he's upset Nick and is sad for him. Oof. This is one of his worries - he's already making Nick upset and he sees that as him being a burden. Instead of realising that that is just love.
9. The final door kiss and the song Ur so pretty and it's words so appropriate as the inner thoughts of both of them. That song is by Will Gao (who plays Tao) and his sister Olivia's band Wasia Project. It's such a bittersweet scene.
You were fantastic covering this show- so glad you enjoyed it. I adore Young Royals so I really hope you do too.

My first boyfriend was like Nick. Perfect, handsom, smart, kind, bought me gold necklaces, roses, took me out constantly...like the best you could ever image, looked at me the way Nick looked at Charlie. I tried so hard to convince myself how much I liked him, I would feel physically ill and tired in his presence, something was wrong with me and I did not know what it was...then I fell in love with a woman and it all started to make sense. Being raised very religious and doing everything possible not to confront your homosexuality is exhausting and very bad for your mental health.

That final scene WAS difficult to film. It took them all night until the director and producer were happy with the final take.

I loved watching your reaction. When you talked about representation I completely agreed. As someone who is demisexual I didn't know what that was till about two years ago. I realized I was demisexual when I was 22 and because of that I also didn't realize I was bisexual till a few months ago. The way that I felt I thought that's how everyone felt. If I would have seen demisexual representation growing up I would have realized sooner that I wasn't straight.

Netflix US displays “self harm” among the content warnings for the show, but it’s there on every episode, so you wouldn’t know exactly when to expect it, so not that helpful. There’s also no warning for EDs at all, which seems strange. 😕

Episodes 7 and 8 of Season 2 nearly broke my heart, even though I was prepared from having read the web comic. The music, and the way the characters looked at each other, especially with the high quality of the acting, set a new high bar for this type of show. I can't wait for Season 3!

8:30 , yes they actually shoot all the scenes in Paris's actual monuments and museum. Also fun fact, they had to film the scenes in the Louvres after it was closed because it would have been overcrowded otherwise. One of the actor (I think it's Joe) said he was surprise with the results of this episode because there was no one in the Louvres when they shoot and he was like "where did all of these people came from" hahaha. Also fun fact, they shoot in October of last year I think and it was FREEZING in France at that time, so all the actors are fighting for their life dressed as if it was 30 degrees out

I've watched S1 like 20 times from the actual episodes to reaction videos. I haven't rewatches S2 yet because of how deep it got. It's so emotional. Kit Connor (Nick) is just an amazing actor. His facial expressions are PERFECT! Joe is the perfect Charlie. He brings the character from the book alive. Fun fact...the song that was playing at the end is Tao (Will Gao) and his sister's band Wasia Project. I love them.
A behind the scene fact: When they were filming the museum scenes, it’s actually empty. All those people you see are all CGI/AI-generated. This was said by Joe Locke in one of the interviews

@@jeslycruzgirl please I feel like Cassandra from Greek mythology 😭. Not all the museum scenes were actually filmed in the louvre and not all those people were CGI (as a VFX professional there is just NO WAY on a show like this they’d do that). Only two scenes were for sure filmed in the Louvre, the rest were filmed in the National Gallery, the Dulwich Picture Gallery, and the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

Does anyone notice during the French translation assignment when Elle was looking at Tao smitten there was butterflies due to the fact Elle and Tao both have butterflies whenever they are with each other.
But if you pay close attention to the animation butterflies,you would see the butterflies fly where Imogen and Sahar are next.
They are so many clues & hints that Imogen & Sahar might get together next season,not only with the butterflies but with them cuddling when Imogen was sleeping next to Sahar while having her arm wrapped around her shows that Imogen & Sahar are both comfortable sharing a bed together. And don’t forget about how when Sahar and Imogen was talking at Elle’s new art school exhibition with Tara & Darcy about the “token ally” thing,Imogen looked intrigued when Sahar said she’s bisexual (Meaning she’s attracted to both boys & girls) and Imogen followed after her and how Tara says “Interesting” after that,but when Sahar & Imogen were talking there was a silhouette that looks like Tara & Darcy had their first kiss at Harry’s party at the back right in between Sahar & Imogen.
But most importantly,the way Imogen looked at Sahar at prom (LOVED both of Imogen & Sahar’s dress during that scene) when Sahar was playing the guitar,looked like Imogen is getting attracted and starting to like a girl this time.
I’m not even joking,I feel like Imogen is only getting attracted to bisexual people at this point. But I also feel bad since Imogen hasn’t really been getting lucky with her love life since she lost Nick due to Nick already being in a relationship with Charlie and she was able to date Ben but Ben was still in love with Charlie to the point he mistreated her & just wanted a girlfriend.
But at this point,let’s hope Sahar & Imogen first forms a friendship first & have a bond with each other then they are able to get together after. Since I still want Imogen to focus on herself before she’s ready for another relationship due to the fact she just broke up with Ben.
During the Truth or Dare scene,both Imogen & Sahar said that the other stopped texting one another. But could have been that they knew they were something there during their friendship that they were both scared to the point they both stopped texting each other? If you want more scenes of Imogen & Sahar,what kind of scenes do you want to see them in?

What got me into this show was an edit of Tao and Elle i saw on insta, so yk i was SCREAMING when they kissed😭🤭 And im so glad it got into it. I watched it as I was packing up my dorm for the end of my freshman year and it really has become my happy place🤭
