So with this logic they won’t get an rmc until 2038 😭
Top Thrill dragster: 2003
Kings island will get a strata in 2023????
probably not..
Wow i never realized that good eye.
@@xelciux lol hey you never no.
Ok, but can we keep Magnum's insane airtime?
Going to keep it family-friendly
5:07: Shows a creepily themed dark ride
I guess let’s hope cp doesn’t go bankrupt while you’re the owner
It probably will
If I owned Cedar Point......I'd ride a roller coaster every day.
If I owned CP I would add an S&S 4D coaster similar to X2.
Blue streak and magnum don’t really need retracking in my opinion, neither of them were rough at all this past year
Coaster Watch blue streak does magnium just needs new trains
Blue streak was the most ruff coaster ive ridden the racer at kenny woods smoother than it
They both need retracking or removal.. Very painful rides now
@@melissalinden2661 I believe that you should allow people to make their own opinions instead of telling people what to think. Every coaster stereotype that I have found after already having ridden the ride has been the complete opposite of how I felt about the ride. I don't think this is a coincidence either. There's no way I just had the complete opposite experience of every single person on every coaster I've been on.
@@OT3S no where in what i said did I tell anyone how they should feel about a ride.. Back off my comment
Magnum is perfect as is. It has insane out of your seat, standing up airtime. Yes it is a little bumpy but nothing rough and even makes the ride more fun. The first time I rode it in years I hated the ride. But it is because I had the lap bar too tight.
Now I always have the operators do my lap bar and I get insane airtime and feel I am gonna fall out of the lap bar. It is so much fun. I love walk on coasters as well. More fun for me.
I tried enjoying blue streak multiple time but I just can't.
Well im glad that you enjoy Magnum. I think it's a fun coaster as well. Some days are better than others though
I hate magnum
Magnum is very painful.
@@melissalinden2661 Do you let the employees do your lap bar. If it is loose, it won't hurt ime. However if it is a bit tight like many people do on all roller coasters it WILL be quite a painful ride especially on the airtime hills. That is why I hated the first ride I took on it in years.
It may depend on your height, weight, and what seat you choose as well. My favorite is the 2nd car, font row, right side.
@@dajoke24 I have rode it both ways and its painful.. It needs serious TLC.. Used to love it years ago.. I rode it loose and almost flew out.. Not my idea of fun
Blue streak desperately needs new trains. Those trains are horrendous.
What ever gave you that impression? How bumpy the ride is or the fact the trains actually twist as they go along the track? 😂😂😂😆
@@TS_Mind_Swept Incredibly small uncomfortable seats, and the trains shuffle like mad. Terrible. Replace with Millennium Flyers.
@@RPKraul I was kind of saying that in a joking manner...
I really enjoyed this type of video. You should make some more in the future.
All I want is a Cedar Point sized Mack spinning coaster!
Cedar Point: Hey... you want a job???
Cedar Point literally has thousands of employees, it's not terribly hard to get in if you know your way around an interview (heck, even I got in ;p)
@@TS_Mind_Swept I think you missed the joke. (Not r/woooosh ing because this isn't reddit.)
Butterman - not really, I was just saying :P
You brought up some pretty interesting, yet realistic ideas up in this video! It's really difficult to predict what exactly the park is going to do in the future, especially because it's so landlocked...
They own the land on shore too
corkscrew iron dragon gemini magnum and cedar creek mine ride are all prppbally gonna be gone in the next 10 years
I already made a few plan ideas. The main new coasters are these
2021: Gerstlauer Infinity
2024/2025: Revamp of Top Thrill Dragster (Adding eighty feet to the ride while adding a more intense LSM launch similar to that of Flugh von Novgorod, also adding a helix-like structure interacting with Millenium Force and Adventure Island. It would be helix-like because it would be angled to prevent any ride from being removed).
2028: Originally thinking RMC T-Rex, but realized that no one wants a t-rex that is similar in height to the Raptors. Instead, new coaster type not invented yet).
Also, Corkscrew would get retracked by Vekoma sometime during this period.
Well your right with the dragster redo coming 2024
New trains on Steel Vengeance that suit all body sizes since I know people who struggle having a comfortable ride experience with the current restraints ect
I completely agree with you!! I think all the coasters there should be a little more body friendly. I'm not talking about anything crazy
Cedar point needs a Gerstlauer like Karnan since there is hardly any Gerstlauers in the US
I could go for this idea!
I think they need a single-rain or an RMC (not wooden) but i mean I’ll take a 500 ft T. rex anytime
Me as a Californian is lucky we have an infinity.
In the Efteling they left only the brakerun station and lifthill of Python (Vekoma MK-1200) the rest was replaced with new track! Result : The parks classic coaster is a totall hit again after 35 years after its opening!
I’m spamming a lot but I agree with expanding CP shores, it took me about an hour get through it
Great Ideas!! Wow You Really Know About All the Little Nuances of the Park!! 👍
I would let Vekoma do the retracking of Magnum XL. They are really getting better in making smooth roller coasters. They've retracked Python in the Efteling, and it was really good. It is a very smooth Vekoma looper now. I think Vekoma can also make a smooth ride out of Magnum.
Tygo van Heumen vekoma will be better than b&m in the next 20 years
And corkscrew as well. And Kings Dominion's Anaconda
Topic Idea: If I Owned Six Flags
Get rid of it
@@skstonesmith Why? Explain. I'm sure you like RMC. If SF didn't exist, neither would RMC.
@@bandmfanboy I don’t know why everybody hates six flags
@@lamaripiazza5226 Exactly! They might not do everything the best, but they do coasters somewhat well.
I would add the one thing I think Cedar Point needs... A ride like Volcano (R.I.P.) at Kings Dominion. Launch inverted coaster that goes around a well themed, and large structure. Like a mountain of a castle, something like that.
I would put a loudspeaker at the top of Raptor's lift hill that would play the sound of a red-tailed hawk screeching whenever the train passes by!
these are very good decisions! good job!
You pretty much touched on all the major issues that Cedar Point has. Magnum especially needs to be updated. And I really would like to see the waterpark get more attention. Right now the wait for some of the slides is outrageous. Just so they don't take out either Lazy River. Those are the best lazy Rivers I've been in anywhere except Schlitterbahn in Galveston.
Great video, I hope they do Implement some of these ideas.
Thanks!
Oh god this can’t be good lol!
I’d put in a parking complex on the side of the parking lot so that if the park ever runs out of building space we could use some of the lot space
True, tbh I mean they never said so but I think that they’ve at least though abt it but yea that’s smart still
LovelyLxttes :3 yeah they’re running out of space to put stuff. They’ve used like 80% of their land
Use the same company that built the parking garages at Disneyland and Disney springs. They are very nice. Also the parking notification system that tells you where there's empty spots is good too
Michael keating the more reason to have them
Hell yeah another flying coaster, sign me up!
Just get me the money 😉
@@XscreamThrills how about make it launched 😏
I completely agree with the last year, they really need that modern family coaster. Something for kids to build up to go on maverick since a fire chaser express kinda ride would be like a smaller version.
I think with the state of everything, we'll probably see a family coaster before another big coaster. But I could be wrong.
I would personally add more theming around the park. I know Cedar Point is more of an amusement park rather than a theme park, but imagine if the area around Iron Dragon and Rougarou was turned into an “Oktoberfest”! Millennium Force is right across the midway from some western style buildings?🤨 How about “Area 2k”, sort of like Area 72 at Kings Island. You can still keep the Frontier Trail, just that one area in particular. Some of the rides could use a bit more theming as well like Valravn for example. However, I would turn it into a full fledged theme park, just some improvements.
I would do the following changes to Cedar point park.
1. I would create a resort district interconnection between the highway in the entrance to the peninsula.
The current maze of roads between the highway and the park meandering through the town of Sandusky does not leave guests with a warm and fuzzy feeling to the area.
2. I would create along that route spaces for hotels dining and other resort district entertainment.
3. I will create a massive parking garage at that was your district on the mainland that would serve as the new parking lot for the amusement park as well as downtown Sandusky businesses. Shuttles can take people to either theme park entrance or to a revitalized redeveloped downtown Sandusky
4. With the parking lot now located on the mainland. The old parking lot Is now available for major park expansion.... Or even a second park
I have the exact same idea. I get the feeling that Sandusky is sorta cut off from its signature attraction, and not just physically. That does nobody any good in the short OR long term imho. If new employee housing were created on the main side, it would give the international students better access to the locals and their businesses while greatly improving their housing experience. Huge tracts are then made available on both the Peninsula and mainland for future growth. Parking lots are SUCH an uninspiring waste of space.
Cedar Point should introduce such luggage systems at the major attractions as in Heide Park in Germany
Do Great Adventure or Magic Mountain
This is my favourite video on RUclips
2021 - Thrilling flat ride
2022 - New roller coaster in the area where Shoot the Rapids was (a GCI would work here)
2023 - Water park expansion/overhaul
2024 - Dark ride, either Corkscrew, Iron Dragon, or Cedar Creek Mine Ride closes mid to late season
2025 - New family coaster in the space of the vacated coaster (similar to Firechaser Express)
I would possibly consider (toward the end of this five year plan) building an off-peninsula parking lot with shuttle buses running from it to near the front gate
Side note: I was at the Point last weekend and Magnum was drawing an hour and a half line while running all three trains.
And the park was at its busiest ever last weekend
I’d relocate Wicked Twister to a smaller cedar fair park like Michigan’s Adventure or Worlds Of Fun. (Not Valleyfair because they already have one)
Valleyfair's possessed is slightly different, it goes straight back without twisting. Just to let u know.
a Premier Skyrocket II like Tempesto could replace it
@@ollivermohler7385 does it have a holding brake on the straight spike? If so, it's already better than Wicked Twister. Used to love that effect on the one they had at six flags in ohio
@@steveo7771286 no it doesnt, it goes at same pace as wicked twister
@@ollivermohler7385 That's too bad. The feeling of shooting backwards up that spike to the top and then stopping abruptly for a quick second before falling back down, was amazing.
By Morgan you must mean Chance Rides.
Correct
I wouldn't forget about the Gemini ride and that it's a wooden coaster, thus knowing there are more than 1 wooden roller coaster in my park.
It's a steel coaster that has wooden supports.
@@XscreamThrills In that case, they all have steel.
I honestly would just close the water park and make some more room for rides. If people wanna go to a water park they'll go to Kalahari in Sandusky.
Magnum is so painful, that it absolutely ruins the ride. Whether it’s new track, or new trains that’s needed to smooth things out, Cesar Fair has more than enough money to fix this.
Also, rickety as it is, the restraints don’t help. Maybe it’s just my height (which isn’t that tall; I’m “only” 5’9”), but I felt that the lap bar pressed onto my thighs in a way that was incredibly painful, as there wasn’t enough room at my feet to stretch my legs out more. I get it, one has to be secured into place for safety reasons; but, being pinned in, at the thighs/femur, such as I was, no less, is wholly unnecessary.
A hyper flyer would be awesome!
Your 5 year plan is pretty solid. I don't think I'd go with a flyer though. If anything, maybe a MACK watercoaster, or even like Pulsar (except without the beyond 90 degree spike, because that's what this park needs, another near or beyond vertical drop.
They already had a dark ride almost directly on the main midway ( right next to Blue Streak ). It was called " Pirate Ride ". The building is still there. It's just used for storage now. If the back parking lot were closed, I'd find out where you lived and I'd personally blow your house up. If you want to really expand? Put a damn parking garage in the main parking lot. You would have a lot more space for, idk. an RMC T-Rex.
I think a dual-loading Mack Powersplash in Wicked Twister’s location would be an awesome in-between attraction
I would like to see new restraints and maybe some retracking for Raptor. I'm just a little too big for it and I think some new restraints would work great. Something similar to Gatekeeper and Valraven
I would make a wooden coaster, then add an extra dueling track every year until there's like 20 coasters dueling each other
Nice! 👍
Gemini would gain a third track?
@@zachcoastercrazy4032 and another, and another, and another... and another...
AND ANOTHER
I’d build a massive parking deck in the front plus get rid of the hotel and water park lots, move the on site dorms and offices off of the peninsula, build an access gate to the boardwalk straight from the front with hotel checkin and luggage service, copy universals fingerprint system with lockers. Then I’d start with the rides...
Actually have a great idea and although the flying coaster option to replace the bungee swing with crossover theming would be quite awesome, I'm super sold on GCI or some sort of raptor/Rex clone as I have a history with and a soft spot for those swings (and yes, I'm completely aware that those memories cloud my judgement in that regard).
You should definently make this a new series, If I owned (park), new park every week
Well I'm glad you liked it. I think this is a sign to make more!
This was interesting
Thanks!
I disagree about Magnum. I really enjoy the last part of this ride. The airtime is really good. The GP have Valravn. The coaster fans have Magnum. I know other people who have Magnum higher than I have it ranked but it is a real good coaster as it stands. I think the park needs a good GCI Wooden Coaster and I think the other coaster type the park could use is a Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster. I really like the thought of eliminating the buildings past Valravn on the left and pushing the road further out and adding a Gerstlauer Infinity coaster in this spot. I think you add the GCI in the area you stated in the video and those are your 2 big coaster additions over that 5 year plan. I think you can add a smaller family coaster maybe similar to the one Dollywood is getting this year or something a bit smaller, and who knows maybe this is in the works for 2020. I think 4th and 5th years should be park improvements and possibly a flat/dark ride or possible upgrades to the hotels. But I think the 2 big additions should be the GCI and the Inifinity coaster.
While CP needs a good woodie, they should also get a flying coaster. Unfortunately, I don't think the GP cares about a flying coaster, but if they made it the "tallest" and "fastest" maybe it would draw in some of the public??
We should save and buy it together lol 😂
Lol
I pledge 50 bucks and a quarter I found
Nite Coaster Count me in, I wanna buy Cedar Point too, let's be partners!!! I'd bring back Disaster Transport, and a new 500 ft. RMC T-REX!!!!
@@seanlewis1148 Demon Drop or no purchase
Why it's everyone obsessed with a trex rmc? I thought RMC mothballed that concept? It wouldn't be any different If Intamin were to make a 500ft coaster.
A good membership is the platinum pass. Free parking unlimited visits to any park, cedar point shores and you can get extra money off of food and souvineers.
CP don't just 1 wooden coaster you got Blue Streak, Mine Ride and Gemini so they have 3 wooden coaster. they need more family friendly rides.
I would refurbish and maintain what are now rather vile restrooms and also build some sort of roofs/covers over more of certain queues.
Magnum has a small cult of fanatics who would definitely see your retracking as neutering and become furious. The GP would appreciate it, though (as would a lot of enthusiasts).
I enjoy Magnum the way it is. I wouldn't say I'm a fanatic about it but I get where you are coming from because some people have it over coasters like Maverick or Top Thrill Dragster. I feel like Magnum has it's place and is such an important coaster in history. I appreciate it for what it is. The GP have Valravn.
Alan Trotter I wasn’t using “fanatics” as a negative. Just saying there’s a minority who really love it and would resent any retracking.
Retracking fine but NO REPROFILING. I would be pissed if I saw those triangle air time hills smoothed out, the reason they are so forceful is because they are triangles!
Good video XscreamThrills

If I owned Cedar Point at first, I would ride Steel Vengeance 100 times or more completely alone or with my family

But the problem is that I'm German and only 15 years old...so I have to wait a few years until I can go to Cedar Point 😭😭😭
@@HiAnonym it would be nice if some new owner made a magic moment for you instead of keeping the park to themselves....

I don't think adding a lot to the water park at Cedar Point would be the best choice as Sandusky is pretty cold in general and the waterpark can only stay open for the summer months. Also, people just don't go to cedar point for the waterpark, it's really all about the coasters. Additionally, Sandusky is well known for its many indoor waterparks including Kalahari, one of the biggest in the country which also has a large outdoor section for the summer. Someone would most likely choose to spend a day at a better water park while they are in Sandusky. I feel like the Cedar Point water park is more for people to cool off on a hot day of riding coasters rather than for big thrills.
I was hoping one option would be an rmc raptor that extends near steel vengeance and duels with steel vengeance
Cedar Point needs more high capacity attractions, but this would be a neat ride though!
I would agree with most of the stuff except magnum
Blue streak though, I would love a retrack from gci or something
So, I’m the only one who would relocate Top Thrill Dragster to Planet Snoopy and rename it Snoopy’s racing doghouse?
If you owned cedar point you wouldn't have time to make these videos lol
I would keep everything the same, except add a parking garage and monorail/peoplemover system off the peninsula and demolish half of the parking lot in 2022, though I would keep the entrance in the same spot. In the space of the old lot, I would put a couple resorts over the next couple years and close and move the campgrounds and cabins to the front of the park and expand the park to the whole rear end of the park
They currently do own land off the peninsula so I do like the idea of building a parking garage and a transportation system over to the park. The only issue is that monorails are expensive, and eventually become incredibly expensive to maintain. If you were to build a monorail system similar to the Walt Disney World monorail system it would cost $150 million per mile. The only areas where you could really build a parking structure would be near their employee parking, or near the Cedar Point's Express hotel. I just don't see anywhere else that would be close enough to build a monorail system. Even something that close you're looking at about 2.5 miles at a minimum.
Magnum could just get the B&m train treatment like steel dragon, way cheaper and still effective,
The B&m flyer is dead coaster type, lockers couldn’t be free as it would be abused
I disagree as Ive heard that the B&M trains are worse than the old morgan ones

Thanks for not showing any footage of FLY I don’t want spoilers 👍
Yes the magnum is rough and that mine ride can get wiped out for sure !
YEAH RIGHT!!!
I would definitely retrack magnum xl
An InvadR style ride wound be nice
You couldn't do the new coaster in shot the rapids because they are using it for the new forbidden frontier, although you could always remove that part of it.
I would definitely replace Magnum with a B&m Hyper or GIGA.
Cedar point needs to redo their kid park(s)
Indeed they do
You completely overlook how the park is already over crowded most of the time and you're interested in trying to attract more? Not sure it's even possible to attract more, everyone that can go does go. So, you should focus on how to better manage the quantity of people. First and foremost, build a multi-level parking garage at the far end of parking lot to free up all that wasted parking lot acreage for new coasters that can handle a massive throughput of riders. The place needs quite a few more coasters to help spread out the crowds and decrease queue times. They could do the same with the back lot, build a multi-story parking garage in the section right by the shores entrance and free up that massive parking area behind it for another coaster.
Some coasters should never get replaced or redone, like Magnum. Magnum is a classic and represents a time when coaster innovation was in it's infancy and pushing boundaries without the aid of computer tech. Would be a shame to lose that flashback. The crybabies who don't like Magnum just need to go ride something else so that the lines for Magnum remain short and fast. Bluestreak only gets better with age! The more shitty it looks, the rougher it rides, the more rickety it feels, all the better. You should feel as though you'll get Tetanise just sitting in the seat. It's another throwback to a different era and should never be redone, only maintained.
Corkscrew, on the other hand, is kind of a waste. It's too short for any length of time to wait in line. If it's not a walk on, forget it. It's also a shout out to the past, but not a good one, it's just become irrelevant since it's too short and doesn't do anything unique that hasn't been done way better by other coasters. Problem is, what do you do with that limited space? Better to hand it off to the expert coaster builders and let them come up with some ideas for a replacement before they bother to tear it all down.
I do agree about Cedar Mine Ride. Cedar Creek Mine Ride wasn't that great and Snake river falls is too short and pointless. They could easily rip both those areas out and combine the two spaces in to another high volume wooden coaster. There is easily enough room between the train ride and Skyhawk for the track to travel between the two spaces. Lot of wasted space on adventure island that could be utilized for this coaster as well.
Basically, there are definitely some big moves they could make to improve the park and spread out the crowds, which is their number one problem. Luckily I was there during fall and what is considered "ghost town" crowds, but even then it seemed crowded so I can't even imagine what it's like during summer.
What about consolidating the lot into a parking structure for more room to work with?
That's always a possibility, but I know parking garages are expensive and building it wouldn't boost attendance, so I think it's an idea further down the road.
@@XscreamThrills I think they will eventually do it just to get more land for park development given how limited they are no matter what they do. Not like they can buy extra land around them.
I really wish I was healthy enough to come to cedar point
Free lockers yassss
If they force you to use it, then it should be a part of admission.
The coaster train could have zipper pouches on them for the things instead of lockers or use the bins foe free like it should be on most rides. Free lockers would not work as the lockers would be abused. But yes good idea but it won't be feasible unfortunately.
Other parks have free lockers and their systems run well
NO MORE WOODEN RIDES!!😂😂 Mine Ride needs to GO!🤦🏽♀️ YES FREE LOCKERS!😭
I'd extend CP's reach off the peninsula and mate it to its host city of Sandusky. Remove all corporate offices, employee dorms and parking lots from the prime real estate on the peninsula and create a new Gateway to the entire place on the "mainside". This opens up huge opportunities for more hotels and retail on both the Point AND in Sandusky proper. So how would guests access the expanded CP from its new main side Gateway? The world's longest roller coaster ride running the length of the causeway is one idea. Another is to return to CP's roots with a steamship/passenger ferry and since the causeway would still exist, guests who pass on the other two forms of transport could be shuttled that way additionally.
This would be an extremely costly endeavor
@@XscreamThrills Indeed it would be. Yet every year that goes by, it will only get costlier as CP continues to thrive, grow, and develop.
If I'd own CP I would at first break the world record of longest time spent on a rollercoaster (That means riding a coaster for at least 16 days or so). Then I would ride TTD over and over until I get a rollback. after that I would look what I can improve
