Yes. I mean, as for this plan, yes, please! But we know SF is never giving them this kind of revenue. But one of your first steps makes so much sense to me even in a realistic sense: RMCing Roar is not a terribly expensive proposition yet I have to think it would so transform the image of this drab park that it would pay for itself with greatly increased hate revenue.

Alright here’s what I would do:
2020: Roar is closed and prepped for the iron horse treatment. Bourbon Street Fireball is also quietly removed and the entrance to Gotham City is expanded at that point.
2021: Roar Unleashed opens. Also there is an overhaul of the operations and staffing. Wages are increased by a dollar fifty for hourly staff, but training is more rigorous to ensure that employees are no longer rude to customers. Also overall park beautification like the addition of landscaping around firebird and more mature trees are planted in areas to assure more shade. Also that rock wall is torn down. Also, Batwing and that small section of the park are closed for the season.....
2022: Batwing reopens as Flying Machine, one of the two marquee attractions of the new ScreamPunk District. It received an extensive overhaul including a new indoor and air conditioned queue line and a gold track and black support color scheme. Next door, the new Mechanica opens up, an S&S Scream’N’Swing. It will feature an elaborate queue line and it will be the forty seat addition so it can be marketed as the tallest ride of its kind. A new restaurant and bathroom are constructed in the area. Not only that, a new pro slide complex opens up in the water park that is similar to the one at Beech Bend that has the saucer turns slide, a bowl slide, a wall slide, and a tantrum slide. At the end of the season, Mind Eraser is torn down.
2023: The new Gold Rush opens, a Mack Rides Big Dipper which will be the first of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. This ride replaces Mind Eraser and gives reason to overhaul the western section of the park, with a new path opening up that takes guess from the dry park and takes them near the wave pool in the water park.
2024: after three years of large expansions, there is a bit of an off year with the rapids ride getting a major overhaul and a new name, similar to what happened at Knotts Berry Farm.
2025: dueling water coaster similar to Cheetah Chase at Holiday World opens right at the front of the water park.

If I Owned Six Flags America (My Vision - Part 1)
You're absolutely right, this park needs something that will change it into one of the better amusement parks in the region and make it not the laughing stock of the Six Flags chain. My vision for the park is to help bring some new life to the park and possibly make it into a family park/mega waterpark (similar to Energylandia and Holiday World & Splashin' Safari). I know some of these ideas may sound a little bold, but this is what the park could use and benefit.
      Six Flags America
      New additions:
      - Stampede, a brand new wood-steel hybrid coaster, which is a RMC conversion of Roar. The attraction itself will benefit from transition and refurbishment as well as bring back some guests who haven't visited the park in some time. The hybrid will be taller, longer, faster and more intense than The Joker at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. The height would be around 120ft, and feature more air-time, tunnels, and feature a black-steel track with a rustic wood structure. With the new coaster, the area surrounding it would get a much needed refresh as well.
      - S&S El Loco coaster with the 8-seat train, I don't think that this model would break the bank at $10 million.
      - Gravity Group Wooden coaster, something like TImber at Walibi Rhone-Alpes. This style of coaster would really blend in nicely with the park's current coasters and offer something for the younger coaster enthusiasts to enjoy.
      - Vekoma STC (Suspended Thrill Coaster), this awesome coaster model offers a great riding experience and fun thrilling ride that's filled with some airtime. Also, this ride offers more comfortable trains than Mind Eraser. The coaster would include the following stats: a height of 110ft, speed of 52mph, a length of 3,150ft and features 5 inversions.
      - RMC Single Rail coaster, which would be the world's tallest, longest and most twisted one. This new coaster will feature a height of around 160ft, feature two mid-course break runs (which don't actually slow the train down, but are only in place because it would be running five trains at once), and to help make this coaster really stand out even more, part of the layout would go into the woods. This would be perfect for marketing purposes and would attract people all over the world as well as region to the park to take a spin on it.
      - Vekoma Family Boomerang coaster, this coaster model allows medium-sized thrill seekers a low cost addition to enjoy immediately and inject life into the park. The theming for these rides are completely flexible and if introduced, it would be noteworthy for being the first of its kind in North America.
      - Intamin Ultra Splash coaster, this ride along with the Mack Rides Power Splash look to be the future of water rides by combining both roller coaster and water ride together to get a high-thrilling attraction that park and guests will love. Plus, these coasters hardly take any space at all, as long as it includes the load and unload turntable station.
      - Mack Rides Extreme Spinner coaster, a ride like Time Traveler at Silver Dollar City will look amazing. While these coasters aren't the most intense, they offer a comfortable ride with a controlled spin.
      - Vekoma Junior coaster, while this coaster model isn't that all thrilling, its extremely smooth and offers something for guests of all ages.
      - Mack Rides Big Dipper coaster, this coaster would become the first of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.
      - A few new family rides, it could be similar to how Cedar Fair purchased some older rides for Carowinds and their other parks.
      - Whistlestop Park and Looney Tunes Movie Town, the park's two kid areas, will receive an expansion as well as some much needed improvements and refurbishment. I could see the Whistlestop Park theme trade for DC Super Friends and Looney Tunes Movie Town change to Bugs Bunny Boomtown. Also, the park could add a handful of newer attractions for the kids while retiring some of the old ones, these will give the areas a whole new look and feel.
      - Zamperla Air Race attraction
      - Zamperla Endeavour attraction
      - A new thrilling dark ride for families, this could be something like Justice League: Battle for Metropolis or a new similar version of the former Phantom Theater attraction at Kings Island.
      - Intamin Sky Jump Drop Tower attraction, similar to Falcon's Fury at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. This new thrill ride would be 250ft tall, making it the tallest ride in the park, and be more visible for the people to know that it's there.
      - S&S Screaming Swing attraction, this model could have the 40-seat addition to make it the tallest ride in the world.

I've enjoyed this series. I'd be curious what your thoughts would be about some of the Disney parks, particularly the ones the struggle with their identity (i.e. California Adventure, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT.) Fixing the tragic amusement parks leaves a lot of room for creativity, just like the SFA ideas you listed. It reminds me of early 2000s Paramount's Great America before Cedar Fair started putting more money into the place. But fixing the big name parks, where expectations are everything, presents a totally different kind of challenge.
On that note, it would be cool for you to do some videos on defunct parks that you would revive and what you would do with them if you were given the opportunity. I can envision plans for the reborn Astroworld, SFNO, Sea World Ohio, Geauga Lake and so on.

Year 2: new Teen Titans Go theme and no more Looney tunes. Water park upgrades and new slides and stuff.
Year 3: roar titan track upgrades, new millennium flyer trains.
Year 4: remove mind eraser and build the first B&M family invert in usa
Year 5: remove firebird, replace with teen titans go theme log flume with indoor sections.

  • @RealBlueony
    @RealBlueony 4 года назад +3

Good vid, but you kinda lost me at the end with the giga. Just, not that realistic in such a short time span. Here's what my plan would be:
2021 (Starting here because of the late acquisition): Close Roar, with either an RMC or GCI makeover; I'd actually in this case lean toward GCI for two reasons: 1. I want to see what GCI could do for the ride; while it would be a bit of a gamble considering this would be GCI's first conversion project, SFOT had to take a gamble on RMC for them to be so popular, right? I won't be ignoring RMC mind you, I'll get to that later, I just want to encourage competition in the industry, and I'm sure GCI would do a great job, even if playing it safe a la NTG. The other reason is kinda sentimental, but Roar was a GCI to begin with; let it remain one (also, the other Roar is arguably the weakest RMC produced once they really got into the swing of things, aka 2016-present).
2022: Demo Batwing at the end of the year, unless Nighthawk closes at Carowinds, in which case keep it running on those spare parts for another 3-7 years. Expand waterpark and connect as many dead ends as possible.
2023: General improvements, along with a kiddie/family expansion; SFA currently only has one kiddie coaster, so another would be great. This would likely be a family woodie, 40-70 feet high, made specifically by Gravity Group, as their family coasters (in general) end up better than family GCI's. Pretty tame, with hopefully a height requirement of 46 inches or less.
2024: Waterpark expansion and flat ride package; FINALLY demo Mind Eraser.
2025: Sell Firebird to Silverwood, if they'll take it. Hey, they have the original Corkscrew, and they take really good care of it, so why not? I'm sure they'd get more out of it than me.
2026: After two demo(ish) years, add in a small RMC T-Rex, 200-250 feet; would say raptor, but I want two across seating.
    2027: Off year. General improvements.
    2028: Waterpark Improvements.
2029: Custom layout 150-175 foot Vekoma STC (Suspended Thrill Coaster), provided they aren't just as bad as SLC's; (in this unlikely scenario, I'll go with a 200-220 foot B&M invert, so as to one-up BGW; the Vekoma should be different enough to not need the record) it will go where Firebird was, wrapping in and around the new hybrid and Wild One.
2030: Waterpark expansion; latest possible demo date for Batwing.
2031: Off year and general improvements, in preparation for a BIG 2032.
2032: 50th anniversary year. Record-breaking B&M flyer (likely 200+ foot) that will go off into a long layout, giving spectacular views of the park. Also, a large dueling (but not inverting) GCI will be built if funds permit. Finally, and this is more of a pipedream, but I'd look into renting Olympia Looping for two seasons to celebrate the true rebirth of this park.
So, overall, no Giga, but honestly, if all this did happen by then, I think things would really be looking up for SFA. We'd have hepefully reaped the benefits or steady investment over the years and be able to REALLY have a bash in 2032 (and '33) to celebrate. I tried to keep as realistic at first, building up to the crazy. All of this could theoretically happen if all went perfectly, outside of the Olympia Looping thing, but even if that didn't happen, this would be a great time-span.

I really feel like the giga and multi-launch coasters are a bit far-fetched, and removing Batwing would probably not be a great idea because that is basically the only unique ride at the park. Or, at least when you get rid of Batwing, have another unique ride to take its place, like a Sky Rocket (not a SR2) or a Hyper GTX. Me personally, I would spread out the expansions a bit more, especially the roller coasters, so you can actually build up enough money to afford those attractions and keep the park "new"/"fresh" for longer. Otherwise, I think your list is pretty good.

Mostly seems like possible and good improvements to the park. That is until you get to roller coasters in consecutive years. The ROI for that sort of build out would almost certainly not be worth it. Though this would clearly be a better park it still would not be such a force that people outside the area would be willing to travel to it in consecutive years. Space those coasters out to every three years or so and you would be better off. Then in the years those aren't opening do those smaller projects which you can use to advertise to the locals. For a park in the condition that SFA is in, this would need to be a 10 year plan.

If I owned SFA and SFNE, I would make it similar to your own version of SFNE. Just instead of space, it would be Cyberpunk, and not be named New England Adventure Park. For SFA, I would also remove all the DC and Looney Tunes licenses, also mostly go with your plan, and make themed areas (some of them will be different from the ones at New England, some of them would be at both)

    • @harrisonschneider8333
      @harrisonschneider8333 4 года назад

I would just make it themed to New England, with 6 main sections each themed to a different state.

If I owned the Six Flags Chain, I would revamp all the parks just like I would do for New England and America, and sell Great Escape and La Ronde cuz they're not so great.

    Mine (probably):
    2022: Closed The Entire Year
    Remove Mind Eraser and Batwing
Since I'd lose the DC rights, I would rename Joker's Jinx to "Fear Itself" with a catchprahse, "The only thing to fear is Fear Itself"
Superman would be renamed to Big Thunder
I would RMC Roar for the 2023 season too Wild Roar because the RMC name has stumped me forever so Im taking Wild Roar
I would give Firebird refurbishments, stand-up cars, and relocate it to Six Flags Great America for the 2023 Season as Iron Wolf again
Some other major DC rides to retheme:
Riddle Me This would be renamed to Vertigo: Insanity
Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth would be renamed to Watchtower
Great Chase would get renamed to Mild One and be relocated near Wild One (i dont know the map)
    2023: Open May-July
    Wild Roar would open
    most likely a kiddie expansion
    New Water Slide
    I got nothing after this

Really great job managing to fix the park and making it a great amusement/water park. I have an idea of a new coaster that Six Flags America is lacking, which is a long, airtime filled terrain coaster with great theming. I've thought of this coaster to be where Mind Eraser's old spot would be. A perfect name for this coaster would be called Bandit, cause it's in the Coyote Creek section of the park. It could be made by either RMC, for their Topper Track, or Gravity Group.
