    Sewing denim can seem somewhat difficult, but it doesn't have to be at all! You just have to know what you're dealing with! First off, what kind of denim are you sewing? Denim comes in different types of weight and light weight denim is going to require a different set of tools than thicker denim is. You can get away with using a regular needle with light weight denim, but probably not with thicker denim.

    Loving your content brother and I'm glad you didn't edit the family out of this, it gives your videos a genuine quality. I mean you're pretty blessed if you can do anything uninterrupted with kids lol. Much love from mine to yours.

    I really enjoyed this video and learned a couple more things about sewing in the process. Good to have you making content again and thanks for just being so genuine and honest.
    Edit: I just found out RUclips just stopped notifying me of your content. All the same, still love it.

      @@StylishDTailors By the way, I was in a well-known fabric store when I bought the needle. The lady helping me started to explain what all the different needle sizes meant. I told her "I know Im a guy, but I know all about needles." She seemed startled and said "Oh thats good" and tried to make it look like she didn't meanit like that but of course she did . Its amusing to see reverse sexism. 🤣🤣

    Hey man, great vid! Is it bad that if im tailoring a t shirt lets say, i would wear it inside out and put safety pins exactly where i want it to be? I do the same with pants as well, and pretty much everything i tailor. It works for me

    Yo sd could u remake ur t shirt baggy sleeves vid, or explain it and show it? Cuz its really confusing on how far to go the shirt, where to curve, etc. Please please remake that video and show exactly the stitch and process.

    Hi, I am new to your channel and to stitching too. Thank you for the very helpful videos. Great job man. A question; @8:27 or so, it looks like the width of the fold is not even when seen from one end to the other. Is that done on purpose? If so, should that be towards the medial side or the lateral side of the pant?

    • @StylishDTailors
      @StylishDTailors  4 года назад

      Hmm, it should be even but in the event that it isn't it's easily fixable.

    I dunno about that spring presser foot... I try that button when there's a bump and mine seems to get just as stuck. Any danged time there's the slightest bump, my machine gets stuck and nests thread underneath.

    • @StylishDTailors
      @StylishDTailors  4 года назад

      Your machine might not be strong enough for denim unfortunately.

    Hey! Dude i really need help, i got a sewing machine, but my parents dont realize im gonna be tailoring my clothes. I dont tailor in front of them cuz i told them and they said only women wear fitted clothing, and store bought is what men wear 😒. Now they think i asked them for a machine for nothing and they think it was a waste, they are upset. How do i explain to them and tell them, they dont understand the concept of fit. They think im still a little kid (im 13, which means yes im young but i really care how i dress and present myself). Please help!

    • @pierosanchez2010

      Fun Speedcuber show them the price of tailored clothes and tell them that's why you're doing it, or show them the loose clothes that you own and tell them you want to make it look better. It's not feminine its a life skill that will help you in the future

      @@pierosanchez2010 thanks man! Yeah i was watching a movie today and one of the characters dressed EXACTLY how i want to dress. He was wearing clothes that fit him so well and dude he looked SOO good! Im probably gonna show my parents that and explain to them thats why i wanna wear tailored clothes.

    • @pierosanchez2010
      @pierosanchez2010 4 года назад

      Fun Speedcuber no problem, another example would be to show them a Jose Zuniga video. He dresses nice and gets all his clothes tailored ($15 a shirt to $20 a pair of pants) that’s a high price for fashion when you can do it yourself. Zuniga style is pricey though that’s why I love SD, he makes affordable clothes look amazing.

      @@pierosanchez2010 yeah man i watch tmf too and jose is a great example. I was talking to my brother and explained it to him. He doesnt understand the importance of fit either, and u can definitely tell. He said that i would look super dumb cuz im not shredded and im kinda skinny. I was like stfu cuz skinny guys look much less skinny in tailored clothes. Got any advice on what to tell him, i told him that and he still didnt listen

    • @pierosanchez2010
      @pierosanchez2010 4 года назад

      Fun Speedcuber baggy clothes on a skinny guy makes them look smaller. As you grow up you’ll learn not to things from people as serious and you’ll follow your own path. Just do what makes you happy and practice on clothes you don’t wear often until you feel comfortable enough to tailor your everyday attire. Good luck man and remember do what makes you happy

      Maybe you can use a strip of denim as the strap, just sew the edges on the bag to make a strap
