My son taught me this technique - low miles, high profit. The status bullshit of having "Diamond" means nothing. Uber status means nothing without cash lol. Cherry pick, cherry pick, cherry pick. My new acceptance rate low is my new succe$$ rate (higher sales, lower miles, less time). Each city geography is very different so you have to figure out your own city.
That the only smart way to do it...I'm not accepting garbage anymore with the upfront fare BS Uber and Lyft is taking the 80 % at all rides here on Florida state
I wish I could cherry pick like this and got surges like this. Orlando/Tampa is averaging around 0.60 per mile. I decline something, it's getting picked up by someone else and I'm sitting waiting for another ride for possibly 15-20 minutes. I'm not accepting, i'm not getting paid.
and you, this guy, and me..we will set the standard..but we need all drivers to get on board. I mean when they'll offer a 20 min trip for $4.31 ..this can ONLY BE, because somebody will take it. FML
Judging from the comments is exactly why Uber takes advantage of drivers. Your car and your time are Uber's profit margin. You take up your time and use up your car and have relatively little to show for it VERSUS cherry picking only max profit runs. It took me 3 weeks to learn how to do anything close to how my son ran 90 miles, made $650 and took 70 trips in (Wait for it) 11.5 hours. Zero cap!
This is how you do business! If you in it to make money then you do what works for you. This why I can't people say they work for themselves or self employed yet another company making more than you in your own business.
you know your really lucky because. were I live we never have all the city lit up in red. I know that some of the fares are long. I wish we had all the offers like you guys do in boston.
Hey bro I drive in Boston too. So 2.5 hours online for 108, how much total time did it take you start to finish? I'm going out tomorrow for the 90+10 quest for this weekend Dec 16-18, if I was cherry picking like this, I would never get near 100 trips. I'll make $1800 this weekend in approx. 30-36 hours of online time. Would your method work for these long quests?
It definitely works. Actually works BETTER via cherry picking. You need a high volume high density area and don't leave that area. It's very hard to train yourself to stay in that area. The benefits are lower miles, more rides, more opportunities for tips and quicker bonuses. You MUST have the customer base in place to do this.
UPDATE: $1,881.90 in 29 hours 20 minutes. 90 Ride quest from Dec 12-19 , 2022 in Boston. Would have passed 2K if I completed the extra 10 quest for 100 rides. Granted, this was an exceptional week in my market, not usual, but attainable.
@Michael Lewandowski I set my destination filter downtown during the late night surge and get tons of short trips. It works well in Boston because it’s very densely populated and a lot of people moving around the city. Not sure how it would work in Orlando. Uber has been paying a lot less for their quests in the new year, it’s disgusting. I’m not doing 1800 in a weekend anymore, but it’s still possible if I put in extra hours.
@Michael Lewandowski try sticking with the quest bonuses. Delivery isn’t as much earnings as rides. Just go for the highest guest bonus and take all the trips. Use the filter late night when traffic is lower and people are getting out of bars and taking short trips.
@Michael Lewandowski I never go to the airport to wait in the que, unless I’ve dropped off close to it and there’s surge happening at the airport. In Boston, my focus is always the weekend quest bonus. Making sure I get my rides in. Friday 12 hours. Saturday 12 hours. Sunday 5-9 hours. That usually gets me either the 90 or 100 quest. I actually try to avoid airport trips because it’s too much traffic where I am. That could be totally different at your airport.
@@hassaankhalid8097 if you accept 100 rides and after you accepted them, say you change your mind and cancel 7 of them, you'd have a 7% cancellation rate. UBER ideally wants you at 4% or less.
30 picks with 5 minute drive to the customer = 150 minutes/60 = 2,5 hours unpaid driving to the customer every day. At minimum wage x $16 (CA) = $40 every day plus gas and missing 4 hours overtime another $32. So Uber cheat you out of $72 every day!!!!!
wow. Your acceptance rate must be absolutely trashed at this point which means you can't get Uber Pro rewards. That means you won't get the extra 3rd destination mode, area preference mode for 2 hours, and the $475 bonus after you hit diamond amongst other useful tools. You gotta ask yourself if that's even worth it. If you're only doing 2-3 rides per day then sure this is fine, but if you're a full time driver doing 5-8 hour shifts this is not sustainable in the long run. On top of all of that, 5 minutes was wasted sitting around declining trips. Every time you do this those wasted minutes are gonna add up to a lot of time during a long shift.
2 min pick up, consecutive $18/18min rides is $60 per hour boss. Gotta do the math even for the little rides. Guarantee back to back rides at 6:30am with the surge map looking like that
