Don’t know if anyone else found this but I was having such a hard time with the cryonis clipping. He just kept walking or falling off. I was so annoyed so when I got him walking only again I started swinging my sledgehammer and I pretty much immediately popped through. Would love if someone else could duplicate!
I had been at this trying to clip into the room for about an hour and a half with no luck. Then I read your comment and figured what the hell and pulled out my sledgehammer. Here I am less than a minute later in the room. You're definitely onto something, thank you!

I just wanna say it's Jan 9th 2023 and this video definitely helped more the most compared to others, your voice is very clear and you enunciate and pronounce everything very clearly which is extremely helpful. with how you explain the stuff it's like you understand there might still be new people ( like me) looking at this video to so that's nice lol
@Li1BadAxe just for future reference they don’t patch this game anymore so just about every glitch still works the unlimited money max health/stamina unlimited ancient parts glitch and duplicating items all work still including this glitch not sure if you found out how to do it or not
This still works as of March 2023. The part where you glitch through to the Hinox is a bit frustrating at times but it worked like a charm in the end. Thank you for your time to post a decisive guide. Stay healthy and keep up the good work :)
As of Nov 26th 2023, it still works in case anyone was wondering. Just saved me hours of constant failure. That middle trail WHOOPED me I tell ya. Now to cheese the final trial lol
For cryonis clipping: there is an invisible corner you’re running Link into. If you’re too close to the corner, he’ll walk. Too far, hell fall into the water. Once you’re angled properly and running, push yourself through the corner. Idk why, but understanding why it had to be angled the way it did made me finally get it.
This is so much more consistent than skewed shield clipping! I was able to shield clip the first trial but couldn’t do the middle trial. Still haven’t totally mastered cyonsis clipping yet. Thanks for posting!

It’s February 21 2023 and I’m NOT a new player I just suck at trial of the sword and this helped an unbelievable amount. The honor is pretty easy to beat and if someone out there is reading this and having trouble clipping into the hinox room, it takes a moment. Just keep trying! omg, this is so much work. so many things could go wrong with this glitch: - the box will break - you have to complete a number trials to locate the metal box - you are not in time to position yourself behind the box before stasis triggers - the box will break or flies off after each try, so you really only have one shot at this, assuming there's only one metal box in the room - it's a hit or miss (mostly miss) with trying to pop out of the invisible barrier i don't recommend spending your time with this glitch. it's really for newbies with a lot of luck to pull this off.

I finished the final trials today (my second attempt-- stupid lightning got my backup metal box the first time) in under 20 minutes! This is a fantastic guide and I'm so glad you posted it!

It's April 2023 and I can't believe this actually worked!!! I'm doing a 100% master mode before TotK and I was struggling a lot in the Trial of the Sword at the point of giving this up, as enemies have more HP and the regeneration fact. Hence, I did this and it took me nearly 40 minutes to complete the trials! The video was perfect and it was well explained. By far the best skip of the trials ever. So much easier and accessible than the other skips. This is such an awesome trick for those that aren’t looking to face the challenge again. Confirmed these still work in 2023. Thank you so much Hanna, you've earned my sub. I did the trials legit the first time, playing through the game again it was not worth the hassle.
IT WORKS! For the Cryonis clipping, you're trying to minimize the distance between Link and the near left corner of that wall- while still giving him enough room to full sprint and get through. Try to place the Cryonis from the leftmost park of the little piece of land you're on. Half in/half out of the wall, as left as possible, still able to full sprint in the corner, sprint with a bias to the top left, you're trying to come out of the corner of one of the same indentations you shot yourself through with the box. Slipping is good, don't move a ton left to right when you start slipping. 3/10/23 still works, all three trials.
I did this today (06/21/24) for the final trial only and it worked. Getting into the out of bounds took two tries, and the cryonis thing took me a little over an hour to figure out. Thanks for the video!

I MADE IT!!! It’s been 2 years (possibly longer) since I got the DLC. I was easily able to do the first and second trials but the final one I was unable to. I looked at the glitch today. Took me about an hour and a half to get to the hinox (my joycons have gotten very drifty) and the crynosis part took me like an hour to get down. I got to the hinox but my box broke early. I was able to take it down by stunning it with a thunderblade I got from beating the stalnox. The Thunderblade is my new favorite weapon now lol. Thanks so much for this guide, you have earned yourself a subscription.
@@TheHannaLe I got to the beginner hinox but I cant get in bounds. He runs his little heart out, and then runs off of the ice block and is still out of bounds. I’m not sure how to get him in bounds at this point.
Well, I got through and he clapped and broke my box. Then I finally got a good sword and he clapped and got me. I hate that there’s NOTHING to help. No food that’s useful, no clothes, no nothing. Thanks for the short cut thought because cannot do 12 levels naked and with no food.
As of December 23, 2021 this still works. The cryo clip took a lot of tweeking and trial and error, but it eventually works. During the 2nd trials while sprinting, I wielded my sword and clipped through the wall immediately. That didn't work on the 3rd one though. Thanks so much, sooooo much time saved! I couldn't do the shield glitch so this was perfect
FIRSTLY, it still works as of 4/17/23. Second, I thought for a moment you may need more than one wheel of stamina but you don’t, just might take a little more sprint spamming. I saw another commenter say the goal with the crynosis clipping is to get as little room between link and the corner while still being able to sprint and i wanted to reiterate that here. 1: you don't have enough likes, B: this is perhaps the most useful BOTW video in circulation (and I have a BOTW RUclips channel), 3: I don't see a roadmap for finding the Hinox if we "clip" through the 5th floor (Final Trials) wall, and D: the best success I had "clipping" through the walls was aligning myself with the red arrow I created with my two-handed weapon. Listen people, don't get creative with your metal box placement or your ice pillar placement. this gal did her research and knows EXACTLY where to place them. don't waste time (like me) trying to reinvent the wheel and find your own placement. let's get ready for BOTW 2!!!

Currently fighting the Hinox with half a heart after clipping in with luck and the metal box broke on me I'm gonna cry :,) Update: I did it! If anyone is in the same predicament as me and finds this comment, build three ice blocks to the corner of the room, hide until he goes back to sleep and then sneak up on him and hit him doing this over and over till he dies :)
Alternatively, just keep running around in circles dropping bombs behind you and detonate them when he gets close. Takes awhile, albeit perhaps less time than your method lol, but it gets the job done.

Thank you so much. I was just too stupid to get the trials done (blowing up myself on the penultimate level of the beginner trials and other glorious fails). The placement was a bit tricky on my first try, on the middle and final stage it worked right away. The block needs to be placed as far left as possible. For everyone who's struggling: You need to make sure, that you are standing in the corner, being a step away will not give you the proper placement. If Link starts tilting forward just a little bit while running, then you know you've got it right, just keep going.

This video was so in depth and helpful every step of the way, Trial of the Sword was something that seemed so beyond my skill set that any guide I followed just didn't help enough. When I did reach the Hinox, he killed me immediately and I was ready to give up there despite wanting the fully powered up Master Sword. I learned about this glitch but other guides were so vague about what to do and where to go once you're out of the walls, but not this one! Stasis clipping was a little tricky to get a handle on but once I got it I could do it almost every time, Cryonis clipping on the other hand I feel I will never truly know how to do it just right without failing constantly. But it was all worth it because that poor Hinox had to die 3 times so I could get the True Splendor of the Master Sword! Get ready Ganon!!!

Thank you so much for this video. I was able to make it work for the second and third trials since I had already completed the first the old fashioned way a couple of years ago. I failed to stop the metal crate from blowing up in the third trial, so I had to get to the 9th floor and do it from there. Managed to cheese the Hinox with a ton of arrows and kill him before I even glitched back into his room! All of this and I haven’t played the game in over a year. So thanks again. Even a rusty player can do it!

Wow, this was expertly done. I believe you when you say this video took you a long time to make. Besides the editing, the best part was just how precise your directions are to pull this off, and your added redundancy in regards to how to repeat the same task again. Shield clipping is so hard to set up for me. I actually beat the first trial and then once I saw this I had to try. Combine this with the campfire sword pull trick and you’re unstoppable! This is the easiest way. I LOVE IT. Thanks.
Amazing video! The two additional tips I can give: It is better for the box to be too close to the wall than not close enough. I messed up several times because the box was foo far. On the last trial at least, if you get the right bow and enough arrows before room 4, you can kill the Hinox before you even clip through! I had around 26 arrows and got an eye shot with my last arrow, so it was kind of lucky, so get as many eye hits as possible to kill it before you even enter!

Ok, it took a few days of practice but I finally just did this in its entirety. The key is to listen to what she says about exactly where to stand before you attempt the cryonis clip. I was standing out of place and couldn't get the cryonis ice block to appear in the correct place. You have to stand right up in the corner before summoning the ice block. The metal box stasis clip (out of bounds) trick is hard to get going at first because it can be difficult to get up in behind it without the camera angle auto-shift disorienting you in relation to your position. I found the metal box stasis clip trick to be harder than the cryonis clipping. I might recommend a 30 minute attack boost potion, 1 mighty thistle, 3 mighty bananas, and 1 dragon horn shard. Save the game at the sword trial start zone in front of the deku tree after you get the attack potion. Then, you consume the attack boost potion before you begin the trial and it lasts 30 minutes which is more than enough time to reach the hinox. Use stasis on the hinox and hit it with an arrow to bring it down and grab its sword if the metal box magnesis attack doesn't work. I tried to use the metal box to beat the hinox but it kept breaking on me. It isn't necessarily game over if the metal box breaks on you in the hinox room.
The metal box clip completed in my first try but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to cryonis clip through and I’ve placed my block near exactly like she did exactly I just fall off if I try to run
I have to say you are awesome! I was trying to whistle sprint up the hill I couldn't do it and I was like I should have went around the cliff but I finally figured it out! You have to push up on the joy con while you whistle and press the b button! You are awesome 😎

So, excellent tutorial first and foremost. If you're detail oriented like I am, (or maybe just stubborn like I am,) until you understand the theory behind it, the cryonis skip is gonna give you difficulty. It's important to note that her cryonis placement is the best, and likely the only way for the clip to succeed, you're not gonna find a better placement no matter how much you try. Spend your time getting the block placed correctly rather than running your head against the wall hoping it works for 4 hours like I did. This is because of how the clip itself seems to work. The edge that you're running into is where the two seams of the wall collide. You essentially need one to push you into the other far enough that you get ejected to the other side of the wall. The cryonis block placement is there so that as you slide/wiggle/run into that corner, Link's model gets wedged further and further into the gap from the proximity of the block until there's nowhere else to go but through the wall. If you're not able to run/move quickly just by walking towards that corner, the block is too close and it's not gonna work. If you think you've got a good set up but you just drop into the water below, the block is too far from the corner and it's not gonna work. If you only dip in on one side, the block isn't angled enough and it's not gonna work. You need space to dip down as you run on both sides so the edge of the block can force you into the seam of the wall, but not so much space that you can just slide down into the water. Once I understood that, what took 4 hours the first time went down to 3-5 minutes. Best of luck to you.

august 8th, 2024: first time glitching in botw ever, and i can confirm that this glitch still works, just did the entire trial of the sword in 30 minutes. this video was very helpful. as a side note, during the final trial skip, i left through chamber 9, and i thought i found the right way, but i was one sphere off, and i ran into a death wall. if your leaving from anywhere apart from chamber 4 watch out for death walls.
This is a top notch tutorial. Very well put together. I was having a heck of a time with cryonis clipping at first but found a way that worked for me. Once you place the block and get on top if you are walking slowly, don’t shatter and start over. If you walk towards the corner you will more than likely start to run. This means you are at the point where you can clip in. I found giving myself that smaller window made it easier to clip into the hinox room. Great work on this. I know these take tons of time to put together. Keep it up!

For Anyone wondering Yes this does Work in Master Mode. The Hinox just takes more hits to kill. Tho in the Final trial it's easy to kill it normally especially if you clip out on floor 9 because you'll have ancient arrows to use on him but clipping out on floor 4, or 5 are just as good.
It worked for me, just be careful when you are in the open area on the third trial, I fell off the map when I stepped in the wrong spot running to the mountain. Thanks for the video!

With five days left before Tears of the Kingdom, I hope to get the fully upgraded master sword soon. Thank you for the help! Update: Literally one minute after I made this comment I slipped through. I used a spear-type weapon's dash attack for the boost to get through. This definitely is what got me through!

Had been trying to clip into the Hinox room for about an hour and a half with no luck. Then I read a comment someone posted yesterday about doing a spin attack with the sledgehammer in that corner and got in like 30 seconds later. Seems like something to look into
I really didn't wanted to go to 9th floor so my stubbornness made me glitch in the fifth floor, managed to escape it, and I just wandered around while looking at your video and managed to found the boss!!!

i cant thank you enough for this, i decided to try and beat the final trial on my day off from work, ended up wasting 4 hours of my day attempting to beat it until i found this it was so easy to follow, thanks so much.
I will be trying this again, but it is really hard.After an hour of cryonis clipping I finally got into the room, I tried the metal box method, but then the box broke and the Hinox killed me.I was so mad that I said that I'll try it again tommorow. the first two trials went by like a breeze but trying to do it on the 3rd with all the thunder is the absolute worst but I’ll get it soon Edit: A day later I was finally able to do the last one and you were right you do have to work quick

Very helpful video I totally recommend this to anyone who is struggling with trial of the sword. The only hard part for me was the final trial cause the thunder kept breaking my block or I wasn’t lining it up right. The cryonis part was hard too but once I got the hang of it the rest of the game was a walk in the park

This is the single most helpful guide for skipping Trials of the Sword! Master Mode makes the Trials very hard, so being able to skip them all without any setup or similar is great. Thanks a lot
As much as I would have loved to do the trials by hand, I straight up just couldn't, with my baby-raging and game-combat inability. Thank you for this so much I'm literally forever in your debt!
AAAAH I JUST CLIPPED OUT ON THE STALNOX WITH 1/4 OF A HEART Edit: a big tall structure spawned, so naturally I walked away from it. Then died. Man. Edit 2: second successful clip through, had PLENTY OF HEARTS. only to deathlock myself. Edit 3: flew under something, rain stopped. That was helpful...
That was a close call!! Oh wait- oof 😅 I would be cautious around any glitchy looking water and areas, and also the giant valley can be pretty dangerous to walk through. I'm currently nearing the end of a 100% Master Mode save, and trial of the sword is the last thing I have to do. It was so much easier on normal mode when I did it, master mode is just frustrating. The enemy health regen more than anything. This guide helped me so much, saved me so much time, and so much of my sanity. I was trying to do the moon jump shield clipping method but the setup is so long, and it feels so inconsistent. I've just finished the beginning trials with this method and it was so much easier. Thank you for making this guide, easy to follow, and way better explained than the shield clipping guide I was following before

Yeah the shield-jumping through walls was a pain. I managed to get through one wall but then lost my skew. I completed the first trial on my own. The second one, I used your method to get through the first wall and your method to get into the hinox room. The 3nd one, I shield jumped through the wall, but used your entry method into the hinox room. Thank you so much. This was insanely helpful, and i cannot thank you enough
As of January 25th 2024, it still works!! Thank you, really!!! My Link runs to the edge exactly like in the video, but I have low stamina and can't run until he passes the invisible barrier. The important thing, however, is to have established that the glitch works, so I'm going to increase the stamina and then go back to doing the glitch to strengthen the master sword. 😏😏
I was so frustrated with your video at first because for 2 hours, i never got to break through and stuck running at the corner and then i rewatch how you do it carefully and i realize i forgot to do one thing, to toggle the joystick around.… now i just completed all trials, during lunch break, at the office, with my colleagues. February 2024 - Can confirm this still works. Albeit alcohol was involved, I still got through every challenge… er… glitch with this method. Thanks to those who found this exploit and shared it for our benefit.

WORKS EXACTLY LIKE YOU SAID! Just did middle and end trials! Cryo, was tricky doing it the first couple times (i died in hinox, lol) but then I was in pretty quickly AFTER GETTING THE HANG OF IT, you not only need to be able to run but be kinda of falling off the edge, if that makes sense. I couldn't get to the boxes on four in the final trials in time so I did it in 5, and thought I'd never find hinox room, since you use 4 in your video, but ran between two levels found the valley, used your whistle run up wall glitch and found it! Trial of the sword complete! Also I walked back to the room five bubble from out of bounds, when i saw the room I turned around and when I came back out it , the lightning was gone,
thank you very much, I passed the beginner trial normally, but then I realized that the next trials will be even more difficult, so I found your video and it helped me, and the middle trial went like nothing, staysis clipping was fine, and crayonis clipping I managed within 5 minutes, but when I went to kill hinox, my metal box broke, I started panicking, but in the end I killed him with bombs, it was a long process. Final trials - I had a problem with clipping in storm, but I gave it about 5 tries and then I killed hinox with arrows through the wall and when I killed him I clipped through the wall and then it was more save and now I have a fully improved master sword thanks to you
finally decided NAH I DONT WANNA DO THE FINAL TRIALS NORMALLY. Ive tried some other methods in like the beginning I tried shield clipping, didnt do it, went ahead and did beginning trials and middle trials normally and then watched your tutorial and I managed to get it done around the 20 minute mark. Thanks a lot! About 10x easier :D
omg thank you! the cryo stasis part took me like 30 min but it finally worked. when fighting the hinox use that metal box like in the video, it staggers him so much he is pretty much stun locked until the box breaks once he is around 20% hp or so.
I had no idea about the Cryonis Clipping ability.I use the Shield Skew trick,but once I get to the Hinox,I always thought I had to restart if I screwed up my skew.I always worried too about breaking the box using too much force,but this shows i can swing a lot harder.Thank you.
Finally, a fully upgraded Master Sword for the first time! I gave up on it in my first playthrough after too many hours lost on the middle trials. I gave shield skew clipping a go a couple years ago, but if I had that kind of coordination and precision I could just do the trials normally. I did everything else in that playthrough, but the Sword always felt lackluster compared to the endgame gear I accumulated. It feels so good to finally have a Master Sword that FEELS like a Master Sword. Thank you for making this so easy for me!
Don’t know if anyone else found this but I was having such a hard time with the cryonis clipping. He just kept walking or falling off. I was so annoyed so when I got him walking only again I started swinging my sledgehammer and I pretty much immediately popped through. Would love if someone else could duplicate!
I had been at this trying to clip into the room for about an hour and a half with no luck. Then I read your comment and figured what the hell and pulled out my sledgehammer. Here I am less than a minute later in the room. You're definitely onto something, thank you!

Other than the third level the middle trials are really easy
For cryonis clipping: there is an invisible corner you’re running Link into. If you’re too close to the corner, he’ll walk. Too far, hell fall into the water. Once you’re angled properly and running, push yourself through the corner. Idk why, but understanding why it had to be angled the way it did made me finally get it.

It’s February 21 2023 and I’m NOT a new player I just suck at trial of the sword and this helped an unbelievable amount. The honor is pretty easy to beat and if someone out there is reading this and having trouble clipping into the hinox room, it takes a moment. Just keep trying! omg, this is so much work. so many things could go wrong with this glitch:
- the box will break
- you have to complete a number trials to locate the metal box
- you are not in time to position yourself behind the box before stasis triggers
- the box will break or flies off after each try, so you really only have one shot at this, assuming there's only one metal box in the room
- it's a hit or miss (mostly miss) with trying to pop out of the invisible barrier
i don't recommend spending your time with this glitch. it's really for newbies with a lot of luck to pull this off.

It's April 2023 and I can't believe this actually worked!!! I'm doing a 100% master mode before TotK and I was struggling a lot in the Trial of the Sword at the point of giving this up, as enemies have more HP and the regeneration fact. Hence, I did this and it took me nearly 40 minutes to complete the trials! The video was perfect and it was well explained. You've definitely earned a new subscriber, keep it up!! ❤️

IT WORKS! For the Cryonis clipping, you're trying to minimize the distance between Link and the near left corner of that wall- while still giving him enough room to full sprint and get through. Try to place the Cryonis from the leftmost park of the little piece of land you're on. Half in/half out of the wall, as left as possible, still able to full sprint in the corner, sprint with a bias to the top left, you're trying to come out of the corner of one of the same indentations you shot yourself through with the box. Slipping is good, don't move a ton left to right when you start slipping. 3/10/23 still works, all three trials.
The clipping is the absolute worst lol
I did this today (06/21/24) for the final trial only and it worked. Getting into the out of bounds took two tries, and the cryonis thing took me a little over an hour to figure out. Thanks for the video!
I also got lost in the out of bounds for an hour before I got to the right room lol I used a map off Reddit to figure out where I was.

I MADE IT!!! It’s been 2 years (possibly longer) since I got the DLC. I was easily able to do the first and second trials but the final one I was unable to. I looked at the glitch today. Took me about an hour and a half to get to the hinox (my joycons have gotten very drifty) and the crynosis part took me like an hour to get down. I got to the hinox but my box broke early. I was able to take it down by stunning it with a thunderblade I got from beating the stalnox. The Thunderblade is my new favorite weapon now lol. Well, I got through and he clapped and broke my box. Then I finally got a good sword and he clapped and got me. I hate that there’s NOTHING to help. No food that’s useful, no clothes, no nothing. Thanks for the short cut thought because cannot do 12 levels naked and with no food.

As of December 23, 2021 this still works. The cryo clip took a lot of tweeking and trial and error, but it eventually works. During the 2nd trials while sprinting, I wielded my sword and clipped through the wall immediately. That didn't work on the 3rd one though. Thanks so much, sooooo much time saved! I couldn't do the shield glitch so this was perfect

FIRSTLY, it still works as of 4/17/23. Second, I thought for a moment you may need more than one wheel of stamina but you don’t, just might take a little more sprint spamming. I saw another commenter say the goal with the crynosis clipping is to get as little room between link and the corner while still being able to sprint and i wanted to reiterate that here. 1: you don't have enough likes, B: this is perhaps the most useful BOTW video in circulation (and I have a BOTW RUclips channel), 3: I don't see a roadmap for finding the Hinox if we "clip" through the 5th floor (Final Trials) wall, and D: the best success I had "clipping" through the walls was aligning myself with the red arrow I created with my two-handed weapon. Listen people, don't get creative with your metal box placement or your ice pillar placement. this gal did her research and knows EXACTLY where to place them. don't waste time (like me) trying to reinvent the wheel and find your own placement. let's get ready for BOTW 2!!!

If you clip through the 5th floor wall it's a pretty similar route to the Hinox as long as you make it across the large valley thing. Again, I'm so sorry this is super late!

Update: I did it! If anyone is in the same predicament as me and finds this comment, build three ice blocks to the corner of the room, hide until he goes back to sleep and then sneak up on him and hit him doing this over and over till he dies :)
Same thing happened to me. I just ran away, circling the island while throwing a ton of bombs at him, took about 5-10 minutes

Alternatively, just keep running around in circles dropping bombs behind you and detonate them when he gets close. Takes awhile, albeit perhaps less time than your method lol, but it gets the job done.

Thank you so much. I was just too stupid to get the trials done (blowing up myself on the penultimate level of the beginner trials and other glorious fails).
The placement was a bit tricky on my first try, on the middle and final stage it worked right away.
The block needs to be placed as far left as possible. For everyone who's struggling: You need to make sure, that you are standing in the corner, being a step away will not give you the proper placement.
If Link starts tilting forward just a little bit while running, then you know you've got it right, just keep going.
I know I commented yesterday but girl you just earned a sub for life, I did this on 13 hearts with half of an upgraded stamina wheel. So. Worth. It

This video was so in depth and helpful every step of the way, Trial of the Sword was something that seemed so beyond my skill set that any guide I followed just didn't help enough. When I did reach the Hinox, he killed me immediately and I was ready to give up there despite wanting the fully powered up Master Sword. I learned about this glitch but other guides were so vague about what to do and where to go once you're out of the walls, but not this one! Stasis clipping was a little tricky to get a handle on but once I got it I could do it almost every time, Cryonis clipping on the other hand I feel I will never truly know how to do it just right without failing constantly. But it was all worth it because that poor Hinox had to die 3 times so I could get the True Splendor of the Master Sword! Get ready Ganon!!!

Thank you so much for this video. I was able to make it work for the second and third trials since I had already completed the first the old fashioned way a couple of years ago. I failed to stop the metal crate from blowing up in the third trial, so I had to get to the 9th floor and do it from there. Managed to cheese the Hinox with a ton of arrows and kill him before I even glitched back into his room! All of this and I haven’t played the game in over a year. So thanks again. Even a rusty player can do it!

Shield clipping is so hard to set up for me. I actually beat the first trial and then once I saw this I had to try. Combine this with the campfire sword pull trick and you’re unstoppable! This is the easiest way. I LOVE IT. Thanks.

Amazing video! The two additional tips I can give:
It is better for the box to be too close to the wall than not close enough. I messed up several times because the box was foo far.
On the last trial at least, if you get the right bow and enough arrows before room 4, you can kill the Hinox before you even clip through! I had around 26 arrows and got an eye shot with my last arrow, so it was kind of lucky, so get as many eye hits as possible to kill it before you even enter!

Ok, it took a few days of practice but I finally just did this in its entirety. The key is to listen to what she says about exactly where to stand before you attempt the cryonis clip. I was standing out of place and couldn't get the cryonis ice block to appear in the correct place. You have to stand right up in the corner before summoning the ice block. The metal box stasis clip (out of bounds) trick is hard to get going at first because it can be difficult to get up in behind it without the camera angle auto-shift disorienting you in relation to your position. I found the metal box stasis clip trick to be harder than the cryonis clipping. I might recommend a 30 minute attack boost potion, 1 mighty thistle, 3 mighty bananas, and 1 dragon horn shard. Save the game at the sword trial start zone in front of the deku tree after you get the attack potion. Then, you consume the attack boost potion before you begin the trial and it lasts 30 minutes which is more than enough time to reach the hinox. Use stasis on the hinox and hit it with an arrow to bring it down and grab its sword if the metal box magnesis attack doesn't work. I tried to use the metal box to beat the hinox but it kept breaking on me. It isn't necessarily game over if the metal box breaks on you in the hinox room.
The metal box clip completed in my first try but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to cryonis clip through and I’ve placed my block near exactly like she did exactly I just fall off if I try to run

In the first trial, I was able to do the shield clipping glitch.
But I just couldn't get it to work in the second trial, so this was a life saver.
The only slightly hard part with this method is positioning the cryonis block correctly.

So, excellent tutorial first and foremost. If you're detail oriented like I am, (or maybe just stubborn like I am,) until you understand the theory behind it, the cryonis skip is gonna give you difficulty.
It's important to note that her cryonis placement is the best, and likely the only way for the clip to succeed, you're not gonna find a better placement no matter how much you try. Spend your time getting the block placed correctly rather than running your head against the wall hoping it works for 4 hours like I did. This is because of how the clip itself seems to work.
The edge that you're running into is where the two seams of the wall collide. You essentially need one to push you into the other far enough that you get ejected to the other side of the wall. The cryonis block placement is there so that as you slide/wiggle/run into that corner, Link's model gets wedged further and further into the gap from the proximity of the block until there's nowhere else to go but through the wall.
If you're not able to run/move quickly just by walking towards that corner, the block is too close and it's not gonna work.
If you think you've got a good set up but you just drop into the water below, the block is too far from the corner and it's not gonna work.
If you only dip in on one side, the block isn't angled enough and it's not gonna work.
You need space to dip down as you run on both sides so the edge of the block can force you into the seam of the wall, but not so much space that you can just slide down into the water. Once I understood that, what took 4 hours the first time went down to 3-5 minutes. Best of luck to you.

first time glitching in botw ever, and i can confirm that this glitch still works, just did the entire trial of the sword in 30 minutes. this video was very helpful.
as a side note, during the final trial skip, i left through chamber 9, and i thought i found the right way, but i was one sphere off, and i ran into a death wall. if your leaving from anywhere apart from chamber 4 watch out for death walls.
This is a top notch tutorial. Very well put together. I was having a heck of a time with cryonis clipping at first but found a way that worked for me. Once you place the block and get on top if you are walking slowly, don’t shatter and start over. If you walk towards the corner you will more than likely start to run. This means you are at the point where you can clip in. I found giving myself that smaller window made it easier to clip into the hinox room. Great work on this. I know these take tons of time to put together. Keep it up!

For Anyone wondering Yes this does Work in Master Mode. The Hinox just takes more hits to kill. Tho in the Final trial it's easy to kill it normally especially if you clip out on floor 9 because you'll have ancient arrows to use on him but clipping out on floor 4, or 5 are just as good.

It worked for me, just be careful when you are in the open area on the third trial, I fell off the map when I stepped in the wrong spot running to the mountain. Thanks for the video!
your guide was really great thank you soooooo much the shield jump glitching was too hard for me but this was a lot easier. the cryonis clipping kind of took me forever the first time but on the final trials i did it first try lol.

Just completed the middle trials using this method as of May 10th
The scariest part of wandering around out of bounds is when the monsters load in before the rooms

Update: Literally one minute after I made this comment I slipped through. I used a spear-type weapon's dash attack for the boost to get through. This definitely is what got me through!

it worked! it is august 2021 here and the glitch still works! took me like an hour of constantly trying to do the ice clipping glitch but hey it worked now i got a full powered master sword

Had been trying to clip into the Hinox room for about an hour and a half with no luck. Then I read a comment someone posted yesterday about doing a spin attack with the sledgehammer in that corner and got in like 30 seconds later. Seems like something to look into

I will be trying this again, but it is really hard.After an hour of cryonis clipping I finally got into the room, I tried the metal box method, but then the box broke and the Hinox killed me.I was so mad that I said that I'll try it again tommorow.

the first two trials went by like a breeze but trying to do it on the 3rd with all the thunder is the absolute worst but I’ll get it soon

Very helpful video I totally recommend this to anyone who is struggling with trial of the sword. The only hard part for me was the final trial cause the thunder kept breaking my block or I wasn’t lining it up right. The cryonis part was hard too but once I got the hang of it the rest of the game was a walk in the park

Master Mode makes the Trials very hard, so being able to skip them all without any setup or similar is great.

I'm currently nearing the end of a 100% Master Mode save, and trial of the sword is the last thing I have to do. It was so much easier on normal mode when I did it, master mode is just frustrating. The enemy health regen more than anything. This guide helped me so much, saved me so much time, and so much of my sanity. I was trying to do the moon jump shield clipping method but the setup is so long, and it feels so inconsistent. I've just finished the beginning trials with this method and it was so much easier. Thank you for making this guide, easy to follow, and way better explained than the shield clipping guide I was following before

Yeah the shield-jumping through walls was a pain. I managed to get through one wall but then lost my skew.
I completed the first trial on my own.
The second one, I used your method to get through the first wall and your method to get into the hinox room.
The 3nd one, I shield jumped through the wall, but used your entry method into the hinox room.

My Link runs to the edge exactly like in the video, but I have low stamina and can't run until he passes the invisible barrier. The important thing, however, is to have established that the glitch works, so I'm going to increase the stamina and then go back to doing the glitch to strengthen the master sword. 😏😏

February 2024 - Can confirm this still works. Albeit alcohol was involved, I still got through every challenge… er… glitch with this method. Thanks to those who found this exploit and shared it for our benefit.

Just did middle and end trials! Cryo, was tricky doing it the first couple times (i died in hinox, lol) but then I was in pretty quickly AFTER GETTING THE HANG OF IT, you not only need to be able to run but be kinda of falling off the edge, if that makes sense.
I couldn't get to the boxes on four in the final trials in time so I did it in 5, and thought I'd never find hinox room, since you use 4 in your video, but ran between two levels found the valley, used your whistle run up wall glitch and found it! Trial of the sword complete!
Also I walked back to the room five bubble from out of bounds, when i saw the room I turned around and when I came back out it , the lightning was gone,
thank you very much, I passed the beginner trial normally, but then I realized that the next trials will be even more difficult, so I found your video and it helped me, and the middle trial went like nothing, staysis clipping was fine, and crayonis clipping I managed within 5 minutes, but when I went to kill hinox, my metal box broke, I started panicking, but in the end I killed him with bombs, it was a long process. Final trials - I had a problem with clipping in storm, but I gave it about 5 tries and then I killed hinox with arrows through the wall and when I killed him I clipped through the wall and then it was more save and now I have a fully improved master sword thanks to you
finally decided NAH I DONT WANNA DO THE FINAL TRIALS NORMALLY. Ive tried some other methods in like the beginning I tried shield clipping, didnt do it, went ahead and did beginning trials and middle trials normally and then watched your tutorial and I managed to get it done around the 20 minute mark. Thanks a lot! About 10x easier :D
omg thank you! the cryo stasis part took me like 30 min but it finally worked. when fighting the hinox use that metal box like in the video, it staggers him so much he is pretty much stun locked until the box breaks once he is around 20% hp or so.
I had no idea about the Cryonis Clipping ability.I use the Shield Skew trick,but once I get to the Hinox,I always thought I had to restart if I screwed up my skew.I always worried too about breaking the box using too much force,but this shows i can swing a lot harder.Thank you.

Finally, a fully upgraded Master Sword for the first time! I gave up on it in my first playthrough after too many hours lost on the middle trials. I gave shield skew clipping a go a couple years ago, but if I had that kind of coordination and precision I could just do the trials normally. I did everything else in that playthrough, but the Sword always felt lackluster compared to the endgame gear I accumulated. It feels so good to finally have a Master Sword that FEELS like a Master Sword. Thank you for making this so easy for me!
