I genuinely hate the weapon system and upgrade system because finding the mats took too long. i don think its fun that is party of why i loved the duplication glitch is because it made the game more fun i hope the zelda team looks at the duplication glitch and for the next huge zelda game makes it way easier to get mats
This is exactly what I do for elemental/effect items that explode on impact, and I recommend anybody who's curious to try it, too! I still prefer the Midair Throw Duplication for durable throwable items (because I think it's more fun to do), but it's nice to have the options available.

3:17 this is a great trick for amiibo and non reparable weapons but don't forget that if you give a weapon to a rock oktorok it'll fully repair it, and you can do it once every blood moon per oktorok. Still really great for amiibo and champion weapons.
Idk how the durability glitch could be useful since I can literally repair with octorocks. Before you say anything, you can force a blood moon to appear. AND before you say anything, yea this glitch could be useful if you broke the rocks that force blood moons
Another video I saw suggested using the dispenser storage glitch along with the Mineru drop dupe glitch so you can easily bypass the 21 item drop limit. (Prepare by getting an autobuild of 2 fans stuck together at a 45 degree angle, with the backs on the inside of the angle. The purpose of using an autobuild dupe is so they don't count against your drop limit. just in case. Put some square things in the dispenser, like zonaite/large zonaite, the door should stay open, then shove your fan dupes up into the dispenser, push up as far as you can then tilt towards yourself, at this point anything you drop in, like the armful of duped items, will just create a puff of smoke, and when you use recall to pull it out, the items you have stocked up will just POUR out of the dispenser, so make sure you're right up to the opening and mashing A.)
I hadn't heard of that duplication method yet. I kinda' like it requiring Mineru. It kinda makes you earn it. You can either play through most of the story, or you can challenge yourself to get Mineru early to "unlock" duplication.
I feel the same way, like. I helped Mineru build her construct... I grabbed every type of dragon part from every dragon... I put in the work! I don't feel a single bit guilty, let's make upgrading the armor a bit easier 😅
Love the concept of this video. I love watching speedruns but I DO NOT have the skill to do most of the glitches let alone run the game. But it's fun to find one's like this that an average person like me can pull off!
Although you could argue that the following are exploits and not glitches, are you aware of these autobuild buidling techniques that can be done on 1.2.1? Stake nudging - Uses stakes and repeated autobuilds to produce gaps between objects, clip objects into each other or create non-snap-point angle adjustment (small-angles). Gravity nudging - Uses heavy weights, gravity, stakes and repeated autobuilds to produce gaps between two objects. It's useful for maintaining alignment which is especially useful for high-speed big wheel vehicles. Gravity pressing - Uses heavy weights, gravity, hoverstones and repeated autobuilds to clip multiple objects into each other. Levers + Hoverstones - Using hoverstones, homing carts, gravity, planks/beams, stakes and autobuild you can use a lever to produce small-angles more reliably. Useful for making 11°-17° pulse lasers and 3° pulse cannons for inceased dps. Could also be used to make small-angle rockets which can launch builds further than regular rockets. The processes are relatviely simple to execute, although a little time consuming, but can be easily picked up by casual players who don't want to go through FE and Zuggle wizardry. However I'm not sure if they have any practical applications in speedruns.
What I love about the durability reset glitch is that it allowed me to get the 60 durability back on a great eagle bow that lost 15 durability during a wst when making it a 5 shot.

I still prefer the Midair Throw Duplication glitch in 1.2.1 for items that don't "detonate" when thrown, but Mineru DEFINITELY rescued my sanity when it came to "detonating" items. Thank you to the community for telling me to just use Recall on them immediately after throwing. I am so interested to try the cucco chaos shuffle now, haha
The downside to this is that it rerolls weapon modifiers, and in the case of the fused weapon, deletes any modifiers entirely, making this bad for any weapon you’ve WST’d and want to preserve.
I still think my favorite glitch/exploit has to be the autobuild frozen meat dupe glitch, basically youd just have 21 meat sticks fused together, then in in the snowy area at the stable at night you wait till theres snow in the weather, walk away from the stable and continually pull out the saved autobuild of the meat sticks youve fused together with ultrahand and the meat would freeze as your holding it in autobuild after youve picked the saved template you made, sadly it was patched out after 1.1.2 but im stubborn and havent updated my game, also because tobios hollow item dupe glitch still works in that version as well
So for the dupe glitch, do you just keep throwing the item until it gets to -3 regardless of how many you start with? Does that mean there's a cap of 17 items, since things despawn past 21? Or actually, 13 I guess since you have to then drop the original 4...
Another way to dupe with the sage is get on her, dismiss her, watch a memory then get the 4 items, watch another memory and then the last step is the same in the video, I actually use a different more efficient glitch in tarrey town that uses fuse entanglement (it'd one of those that requires some setup but its worth it in the end) this glitch also cant really get u past 21 without using a zonai dispenser(side note you can do less that 4 of a specific item as well as mix items with the glitch)
Minor issue with the dupe glitch. You cannot throw elemental materials because they explode when thrown. But it's still a good glitch none the less. Thanks Linkus.
If you throw them not towards the ground, recall them, and then ultrahand them to carefully put them down then it works. Still gotta be careful and not pick them up
Can you do the equips an enemy with something/despawn them/have them respawn with a pristine version of your equipment with any set of enemies? I would suspect so. I would also suspect that if a blood moon occurs during the process, one will lose the weapon they are trying to renew. Also, would this work with shields, and bows?
Do you need 4 of the item you want to dupe before you try the dupe glitch? Or can you do the same thing with only 1-2 of the item and it will still work Im replaying the game after literally the month it came out and im super curious to see what still works ;)
one of the best things, in my opinion, about botw was watching the community discover glitches and exploits and learn how to do them myself and play along with my favorite content creators. When Nintendo patched glitch after glitch in totk and made it impossible for casual players to play along with our favorite streamers/content creators they created two different games, one for streamers and professionals, completely inaccessible for normal people and one for the rest of us. I hate it.. and it feels like some sort of ego move from Nintendo. I really think it back fired big time. they should've kept the glitches and accepted the final product as it was. Maybe they could've put those resources and effort into a DLC. In my opinion.
Nostalgia has made you forget how Nintendo continuously patched out botw glitches for 2 years straight We're lucky they stopped patching this game after only 3 months
@StopLegoLord I think the reason for that is they kept updating botw is because they had dlc coming out for it, rather tears they don't have any dlc on the way so they stopped updating it.
The dupe glitch is a little finnicky at times but as long as i actually remember the correct order to do things it's nice LOL. I miss the sort/close method from early versions but what can ya do
why doesn't the dupe glitch work for me? Did everything exactly as said, but when I pick all items back up, it simply tells me that I got from 12 to 8 and from 8 to 12 again instead of 16
ehh im not sure if i did something wrong cus i went to go drop a bow to see if it worked aswell but uhh the bow bokoblin just disappeared like in thin air Infront of me when i made him drop the bow

Get a hair brush OR go to my mom’s
Tip: if you want to dupe an object that burst on impact just throw it and use recall on it mid throw

You can also do the master sword upgrade glitch to fully repair AND upgrade the weapons if you look on game is lifer's channel and it works in 1.2.1

This Video is a godsend. My SD Card got corrupted and I had to update. Good to know there is still an easy duplication glitch!

My biggest issue with current patch TOTK is that there’s no easy way to travel fast around the world like pocket rocket or windbombs

you can still do fuse entangle for pocket rocket, it just requires a more elaborate setup
The Mineru Hold Storage you used to dupe also removes camera and scope hud. You don’t need to fight with camera cfw

A better special weapon repair method is fusing it to a normal weapon, giving it to a rock octorok, and have Pellison break it apart.

Been using the mineru dupe glitch for a few months. I love it, duped diamonds and finished my compendium. And got all the gerudo jewellery
