- This is the first of it's kind a NO-HIT Guide for one of the hardest things to accomplish in Breath of the Wild, the "Trial of the Sword".

Right?!?! I know this is from a long time ago but I'm trying to beat this now and I have the same issues. The second anybody is hit everybody in the room attacks me.

I first tried it using a mix of his strategy and my own. Basically I immediately locked the blue lizalfos, I swam to the platform on the right, I shot up the blue lizalfos, then I used his strategy with the electric stick to kill the white lizalfos and then I simply sneak chained the other lizalfos
I think statsis may be good for that floor I still haven’t won and I did it 6 times

I always just do the speed runner tactic, I find it the most consistent.
If you're trying to beat this casually, instead of a no-hit run, I strongly recommend using an armor up food instead. It turns 6 hearts of damage into a quarter heart.

This was literally the hardest section of Trial of the Sword. I completed the middle and final trials in one try. This guide was a godsend.

I beat middle first try, but I don’t get how anyone could beat finals first try. Oh and I’m talking about normal mode.
@@yaboiyeets3721 activate Sensor+ and make it search for Chests. You really don't wanna miss those Ancient Arrow chests. I forgot about this on my first attempt, but still made it all the way to the last floor (had to kill all the Guardian manually). The lynel then one shot me right as I was about to take it out

There's no need to fight them head-on at all. Because they regenerate in the water you want to just stealth-kill them both. Super fast n easy
Sneak-strike, move in front of the enemy as it gets up and turns around. Sneak-strike again. Repeat
Emil Emil by way the left is perfectly positioned for this but right is a bit trickier. You have to do it at a little bit of an angle initially or that first sneak strike pushes him into the water instead. Of course fighting just one even if it's a silver is tons easier than both. The thunder rod can be used to stun block as Quizzle illustrated here and you have a lot of good weapons to kill him since you saved so many resources by sneak killing the left one. But definitely starts with the left. That's the low risk one.
banananana Random fun fact: Master Mode actually has more stronger weapons. I thought the exact same thing as you did before I went through normal mode beginning trials, and realized half of the weapons that were there in Master Mode aren’t even there in Normal Mode.
Normal Mode is still much easier, it’s just that much more weapons were added to make the Master Mode version at least possible.
If you don’t like it, remember: Master Mode is SUPPOSED to be insanely difficult. You can’t just go in without much prep and practice and expect to win: trying again and again is key.
Tl;dr They knew what they were doing with Master Mode Trial of the Sword.

Hinox and talus are by far the easiest to take no damage. And yet 1 small mistake and BAM 10 hearts of damage

This man takes no damage. Even with his strats it took me 20 attempts with 30 hearts, full stamina, and attack up for 30 mins. This man is a legend

Same, I'm about to give this a shot. I want the Master Sword powered up as I beat more Divine Beasts so I don't get massacred by Gold Enemies(coughLyonelscough)
Fun Fact, did you know about a new glitch involving these trials and infinite chests on the overworld?
Step 1: Have at least 1 Divine Beast remaining to complete(You've boarded it by haven't completed it yet).
Step 2: Enter any of the Master Sword Trials and immediately warp to said Divine Beast.
Step 3: Leave Divine Beast.
If you did this correctly this glitch will instantly re-spawn all items on the overworld every time you enter a loading screen. This means you can farm things like Star Fragments, Kite Shields, Korok Seeds an Infinite amount of times provided you know where said chest is.
So, if you didn't beat it....you wouldn't of subbed? 🤔

I was going to make this joke but uhh you already beat me to it...
Don't want to be the bad guy here, but for the future, you might not want to put a timestamp at the end of the clip
also I recommend you don't try to immediately headshot the lizalfos in room 10. When you enter, instantly use stasis+ then jump in the water, he won't alert the other 2 and you'll have plenty of time to take a headshot when you're up on the platform.
jsa1993 sounds like a nice strat to me.. if you could take the shot while stasis is active.. you might get the kill? just a thought.
you can if you want but if you fail to get a headshot whilst the stasis is active (which is not for very long anyway) he'll alert the other 2 and I'd say there's an 80% chance that you will fail if that happens. You might as well just stasis then instantly dive into the water then climb the platform, it's the safest thing to do.
jsa1993 did both methods. each worked pretty well. with the lizalfos being lower tier you have enough time to let off 2 shots that count as sneak critical hits, killing him and reducing the potential alert level. Attack+3 is a critical step bc you need your high level weapons to eliminate the Silver tiers quickly. Middle and Final would recommend Defense+3 due to more floors and death potential. you acquire more than powerful enough gear to blaze through. I would recommend @austinjohnplays to get your gear locations for both higher trials. use any ancient arrows in on Gold Tiers immediately to remove one hit kills. 3 golds, 2 lynels, and 2 flying guardians are the biggest threat. that should leave 2 Ancient Arrows to account for misses
If you're spotted, it's possible to climb up onto the back-side of the giant fish head, crouch, and wait for them to return to a neutral posiiton over on the sides.

don’t worry man, just shoot an arrow past the liza logs to lure them away from the water then just sneak strike chain both of them. the other one won’t notice so don’t worry about that. i’d recommend practicing on bokoblins on the great plateau with weak weapons to simulate floor 10
Absolutely brilliant, I have around 300 hours in this game and only after watching this video have I been able to complete this. It took me three attempts after watching it.

I just had surgery. I've been playing this trial a lot during recovery, getting my tail kicked for two weeks. This helped tremendously! You da man!

I do have one question though: Why not take the fire arrows from floor 3 and use them on floor 10? Fire seems to rack up damage quickly.

They take some time to get with the gliding from the chu chu's, and when you have to worry about your attack buff running out, it's just not worth the time
Couldn't agree more! I had no idea that switching between two bomb types and using stasis on enemies was so effective. I'm gonna give this strategy a shot and if I fail, I'll try again.
3 years late but fire arrows only do 10 more damage than normal arrows. This isn't worth it when you can use a normal weapon there (spin is ridiculous).

thanks a lot for this guide.someone on gamefaqs pointed out an excellent tactic for floor 10: when you sneak strike the enemy is programmed to always look directly at where the attack came from and ignore all else, so sneak strike, stasis, walk around, sneak strike again and repeat
jsa1993 Indeed, it seems to work more reliably on the one on the left, so take him out first.
I was killing the other one conventionally, but it was taking forever and I kept knocking him into the sea, so most of my damage was for naught...
Then I noticed that he can be positioned in a slightly different orientation, and then snuck attacked to death much like the first one on the left.
His initial position seems to knock him far into the water often, so it makes sneak attacking worthless without any special setup.
I've watched this video SO many times. Thank you SO much for making it. I still can't beat the trial even with cheating, but that won't stop me from trying!!
Thank you so much. I was convinced the Trials were too broken in Master Mode to reasonably be expected to complete but this seems much more approachable.
Used this strat to beat Beginning Trials. Didn't manage to get as much arrows, wasted a lot more on Room 10 due to accidentally alerting the other Silver Lizalfos earlier (which also costed all of my healing items and a good chunk of my weapons), had no arrows in Floor 11 so I had to swim and got a lucky burst of RNG when I got the Fire Arrows (both x10). I used these to finish off the other Bokoblins and ended up killing the Hinox with nothing but a few badly damaged weapons left.
10/10 guide. Also, Middle Trials' early rooms are by far the easiest since you can just knock enemies into the pits

Thank you so much for this guide, it was really helpful. Like many others I was stuck at floor 10 before because of those peky silver lizalfos. I just couldn't come up with a way to kill them before they killed me. But it turns out that their AI is not the smartest. Since I failed at killing the lizalfos with the horn before he could alert the two silver lizalfos, I used Cryonis near one of the plattforms on the side to hide myself behind so the lizalfos would go back to rest. Then I silently climed onto the plattform with the metal crates and grabbed one of them with magnesis. I carefully placed the metal crate right beside the nearest lizalfo and right infront of the wooden stairs that lead onto the middle plattform. To my surprise this did not alert him and he kept resting. I then jumped and to the water and slowly approached the wooden stairs, crouching and hiding behind the metal crate on the opposite side of the lizalfo. This time it woke up and spotted me. I thought it would either run around the crate and hit me or destroy the crate. Instead the lizalfo just got really mad because he could not reach me. Still crouching beside the crate I moved a tiny little bit so the lizalfo would not spot me anymore and go back to rest. From there I just hit him with a sneakstrike and then alternated between the lightning rod to stun the enemy and my strongest weapon to "spin to win". The other silver lizalfo quite liked the game "What's behind the metal crate?" as well.

When you said floor 10 was the hardest of all the trials for master mode, I felt better about myself. I almost gave up here as I felt like the level was primed for them to just sit in the water and regenerate. Thank you (5 years in the future)!
You still to this day have one of the best Trials strats on RUclips. It's a real shame you never were able to upload one for the Final trials. Still hoping you do one day!
Another tip for floor ten is if u can sneak strike with ur strongest weapon and turn 180 degrees behind the monster. For some reason they are unable to see u after they get up and r forces to turn around. This means u can chain sneakstrike which does massive damage and saves durability yay
I know this is way late, but for the silver Lizalfos, you can sneak strike, then run in front of them. When the get up, they will jump 180 degrees to see what hit them, ignoring what is in front of them. This allows for another sneak attack; rise, repeat.
This is by far the best I've watched. I always had trouble with the lazolfos, but I beat them pretty easily after watching this. Thanks!
After watching this video it only took me two tries to beat on Master Mode! Thanks a ton! The floor 4 and floor 10 strats were the biggest game changers.
(Only reason it wasn't a one-shot was because I missed twice shooting the lookout on floor 10, so had to 2v1 the Silvers. The outcome was inevitable.) 😅

Using tips from this and another video I was able to beat beginner trials! I _was_ stuck on floor 8 but i spinned-to-win'ed the guys at the campfire and beat the rest of the floors on the first try, including floor 10!! XD I'm watching your guide for the middle trials rn...
Some tips in master mode: Bombs are super effective for Bokoblins. All basic monsters, including guardians, except Lizalfos die in deep water. Use ancient arrows for all gold monsters, Lynels and flying guardians. Use ancient arrow to walking guardian in the room with the 3 guardians (1 before the end). Take all chests and items and fairies in break rooms. And use the stasis A LOT!
Definitely make parts 2 and 3! This was great!!

2:19 you're 100% able to come back up, if you only shoot the rope that keeps the plank in place. You can shoot from the side to hit both ropes at once.

This was so beyond helpful. It took me a full overheal plus a 30min 3Atk buff, and the fairy saved me at the Hinox but still. Thank you so much.
The hinox is the easiest floor in the whole thing if you know that you can magnesis a crate in the room then repeatedly hit the hinox in the crotch or head. The hinox will not be able to do anything fast enough before you hit them again so it requires very little thinking.

The first room is by far the hardest I died like 20 times on room 12 and 13 but the middle and final trials I did in one try
Bane of my existence were floors 2, 4 and 5. So, generally all of those that made separating enemies into an ordeal.

Thanks so much for the video! I put off trial of the sword on master mode until I got all the shrines. Following your guide on floor 10, I was able to get through that floor in one go. You're a huge time saver!
That's actually a really good tip on floor 10. That floor damn near impossible if you let them constantly heal and shoot projectiles at you in the water.

I literally had mighty simmered fruit x3 30 minutes and didn’t realize until I sold unneeded stuff to a korok
And mighty steamed fruit x3 10 minutes
Now I have 2 30 minutes of x3!
Perfect! Now I have 1 for each trial!
I got this 3x in a row no blood moon. No horn needed! Just mix 2 bananas, 1 razorshroom, 1 mighty thistle and 1 monster extract.
This is Impossible. With defense boost you cant beat the silver lizalfos. With attack boost you cant even reach this stage. I gave up.
Matthias Wolf make sure you have a lot of arrows for room 10. You can sneak up on 1 and knock him into the water, then keep headshotting until he's dead. If you are accurate enough, he never gets a change to attack. That's how I did it

This mode is totally unfair.
You can not save, enemies quickly recover health, and you die with one hit in many times.
Being difficult is one thing, making it almost impossible is another. It is ridiculous that this is much more difficult than the final boss. What was Nintendo thinking when it created this trial, without adapting to the Master Morde?!
I'm very disappointed with this game, and I was really enjoying Master Mode until I got to this trial.
The health regen is the main issue, it completely counteracts weapon durability

Bro much respect to you. You make it look easy but that is because you are very skilled. I suck at attacking so used the 30 min defense buff as well as max health and endurance buffs. For floor 10 after killing sentry I spam sneak attack the silver on the left by constantly moving in front of him so when he recovers he is facing away from you again opening himself to another sneak attack. I also set my wooden weapons on fire to lure enemies in where they burn to death. Combo strategies from videos like yours and others make this doable on Master Mode for us mortals. Thanx again. Still looking forward to your Final Trials.

broke literally all of my weapons, lost all of my arrows, resorted to bombs, failed miserably, lost the trial.
