You are so true. Sitting all day because of my injury 24 years ago now has me barely walking with a walker. Started with a limp then a I needed a cane. Well I am NOT continuing this way of life so I’m taking back my life! I started watching your clips and even though I’m not as thin as you are, the lessons I have learned from you have awakened a spirit inside of me to GET UP AND MOVE! So for the past 9 months or so of adding your tips to my life I am down 30 lbs. So I look forward to your notifications and I appreciate everything you help me with in this weight loss journey. God bless and keep on keeping on!
Wowwww, God bless you. Very Encouraging. I have been suffering with chronic illness and I'm going to get up and start moving also because I need to and I can . Thank you for sharing your AWESOME TESTIMONY!!!
I used to go on longish walks but can't anymore due to some muscle issue in my left hip area....only can walk 6 mintues before it starts to painfully ache.
That breach looks amazing - where do you live? If it's sunny it's so much easier and nicer. I'm struggling after having rotator cuff surgery 4 years ago and stopping the gym... I am 'getting on' though
You’re awesome! I am beginning stages of Perimenopause and I’ve seen a huge difference in my body and hormones this last year. The snacking and wine was the catalyst to my unhealthy lifestyle. Cutting back on wine was a struggle, not going to lie. But I’ve finally reached that point where I am ready to take back control of my health. I love your channel because you’re relatable. Keep shining your light Petra ✨
This is the truth! At almost 70, I'm working on changing these aspects in my life. Doing a high protein diet, walking, and increased my water. The husband is doing this with me. Weight loss is slow, and I've discovered I have lipedema as well, but will keep pushing forward to be as healthy as I can be with the rest of the time God gives me on this earth.
I have been skinny and healthy with natural muscle my whole life until now... once I turned 40 years old, with 2 kids and a high stress level job in California, it all changed... the weight gain in the belly, arms, chin, and back of back @ bra area was something I thought I would NEVER have... now I do.. along with excessive night sweats, bloating, eye bags... etc... etc... This beautiful soul just described the 3 things I do that I obviously can't do anymore! 😢
Yes! Sitting to much is why your hips are tightening up. If you get a stretch in your hips just by laying flat on the floor. You need to stretch your hip flexors and go for walks every day. Stay Awesome!
These are great recommendations to great up off the couch! I have been watching your clips and they inspire me to move. Thank you for being a champion for us ladies over 50. We can still reach our best body at any age 😊
You have been an inspiration helping me with menapause. I really find it hard exercising in the house, i just cant concentrate. I love walking but its rained in derbyshire for weeks & its June!! Today has been an exception so this evening ill being going for an hours walk. 😊
Looks like you live where its lovely sunshine, which helps to encourage us to go out. It's more difficult in the pouring rain every day. Thanks a lot for your videos.❤❤❤❤❤❤
My issue is under eating, not over eating. I've never been overweight. Skiny fat has been my issue the last 3 decades. After any challenging exercising, it takes minimum of a week to recover. Poor sleep.for over 15 years, lack of sex hormones, slow thyroid. Baby steps!
I promise you, from my personal experience, as soon as I started eating a lot of protein, within a few days, I just didn't feel like eating snacks anymore. Over time, when the stomach contracts, you won't be able to finish even the usual amount of food at a meal.
Nice basic simple rules nothing complicated. I'm 41 and gave up refined sugar 23 days ago and it's really helped me to stick to having meals only without snacking cos you dont get the cravings. Losing weight as we speak, weight that I was wanting to get rid of for couple of years now. I think I may have stabilised my hormones too.
Common sense. The biggy you didn't mention was cut out sugar, carbs and processed junk crap foods. Cook from fresh every meal and yes high protein and low starch vegetables.
@@alexmorgan3435 no not if you get to eat a whole entire package of something. An apple is good, a banana, and orange. Protein chips are a great snack or a protein bar is a good snack also nuts are good..
@@lisaannkennedy7919 The food you mention will all raise blood sugar and spike insulin as they have a lot of sugar. They will also mean your body stops burning ketones as it can burn sugar as it is easier. I think'll you'll find most 'protein bars' have a lot of sugar, carbs and fat seed oils palm, sunflower, canola, hydrogenated fat and little protein. In any case protein still spikes blood sugar but less than sugar but it still spikes blood sugar and insulin. The fruit you mention will apple, banana and orange also spike blood sugar pulling you out of ketosis. The whole point of NOT snacking is you are trying to get your insulin down so your body burns fat. If you do TRE time restricted eating or intermittent fasting IF then you can achieve this. But when you do eat again stay away from carbs, starch and sugar. So eat meat, eggs, oily fish, non starchy veg, leafy green cruciferous veg, salads, avocados, walnuts, pumpkin seeds. You get the picture. But stay away from starch, carbs and sugar and processed junk such as 'protein bars'. HTH.
I list over 30 lbs on keto but for the last yr plus I lost my way and I know better. But, r u saying that you did or still do high protein and snakes is what made you gain weight?
So so true ❤. I found it enjoyable to be able to buy snacks as I got older and working and it was because I grew up very very poor and skinny - always hungry. Working and being able to eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted put the extra weight on me. Therefore, Petra is 100% correct plus I am a cook other than a nurse. I have enjoyed some great food!
Fat people are not stupid. We KNOW how many calories wine has……we know spinat has less calories than a croissant….we know champignons have less calories than a cheesecake. We know exactly that doing 20.000 steps per day and eating much salad and turkey, and eggs and greens of all kind will make us stronger and leaner. We, fat people, are not ignorants.
Too much hype about high protein. Look at good RC studies. No difference in muscle growth with high protein. Too much can cause cancer and kidney disease
I agree! The moving throughout the day adding short bursts of exercise and walks is so important!

Can you use one of those rebounder’s with handles for you to hold on to? Bouncing on one of those burns calories.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Thanks

You are so right about sitting all day. And for us that work from home we have to purposefully make sure we are getting some movement in.
So easy but soooo hard to stick to . I’m guilty of all 3 😢😢😢
Me too 😢😢😢😢😢
you've got to adult this

Good points , but hard not to sit when it’s unbearably hot outside 104+
beautiful! thanks for sharing

It looks lovely wherever there is! X
Did you join her workout plan or just do her RUclips videos?
Too true, no snacking or alcohol for 10 months and counting by eating high protein, also fat. 👏🇦🇺
Problem with moving all day is when you work in the very busy office without possibility to move much or
Standing table

Ty! Your advice and videos are amazing and you look sensational ❤
Snacking is fine. Keeps blood sugar leveled and if within your daily caloric goals not bad
Thank you! Diese 3 Gewohnheiten können viel bewirken.

Great info thank you ❣️. Snacking is the one I gotta cut out the other 2 I'm great at.
Common sense. The biggy you didn't mention was cut out sugar, carbs and processed junk crap foods. Cook from fresh every meal and yes high protein and low starch vegetables.
You can snack but it needs to be good mindful snacking. NO JUNK!!
No, no snacking at all.

Great tips, and I need to do all three!!
🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍❤️god bless you 🙏❤️❤️
Parabéns 🎉🎉🎉
It´s not that easy finding time 3 times a day, when you are working fulltime. Most important, which I do meanwhile is: No Snacking.
Ugh everything I love. Not sitting though
Thank you 💖
❤❤❤
Great advice! Just what I needed now! Thank you!
Merci pour votre retour 😊
Thank u sister❤
פטרה, המון תודה😘 את מנית את כל ההרגלים הרעים שלי למעט היין אני חא שותה יין אבל שותה מיצים🤦♀️
Snacking has nothing to do with hunger it's craving I'm not hungry when I snack 😅
I’ve never heard it referred to as ‘on’ menopause…
I don't eat junk food, and I don't drink no alcohol and I can't stay still
Thanks ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Moving all day and evening?? Constantly?? You got to rest at some point, you would be knackered
I am - never any wine (don't like), no sugar, no icecream, no biscuits - became roundish once рeriods stoррed. And no sitting job.
Sugar is also bad
❤

Breath out you're belly looks big, normal belly you look great. Great video
Are proteins very essential for weight loss
Too much hype about high protein. Look at good RC studies. No difference in muscle growth with high protein. Too much can cause cancer and kidney disease
NO MORE SNACKING! 3 HIGH PROTEIN MEALS!
❤💛💚
Me stop drinking 🍸 that's hard.
I will tell my boss I no longer want to work at my desk😢 but all 3 are spot on.
No 1 is the killer
Too much meat etc. Your arteries will take revenge I’m afraid.
❤👍
