Excellent. Can't wait to see more. Glad I found your channel. Have a 93 S-10 5 speed and trying to determine if I go with a blower or yank it out and drop in a 302. Thanks from Western North Carolina 😊😊😊
When I used to mess around with those I advanced/retarded the cam timing at the cam sprocket. I used a sbc kit that drill out all the holes in the cam gear and install the offset bushing on the pin. Even used the sbc lock plate.
@@jbslittleshop2897 it ran very well for a lil 2.8, if I remember correctly it was a lil weiand supercharger and went high 14 sec 1/4 mile on pump gas and not a lot of boost in a s10 blazer, high school days, 2004-2005 ish Side note it was one of the last engines Paul Vanderley did any machine work on, We’re talking about a man whose engines competed from top fuel to Earnhardt’s Daytona winners, local coast legend
You make we want to get that 413 in the shop and start mocking up the blower on the intake. Awesome progress 👍👍 Id paint it. Break out the map gas torch and rusty metal primer. Then paint it, BUT leave the blower the was it is with the center flat black. Black actually gives off more heat.
Sweet little 2.8. Yes chevy red would look nice. So how was the outcome on the rebuild with the blower? How much HP and torque gained? Were you happy with all your efforts? If so...would love to have some specs, cuz I have contemplated do same with mine. Either a blower or a small block drop in. Thanks man to the entire crew for getting these vids for everyone.
Looking good guys. As for paint and shine....... I say heck yeah! Nothing like pulling up in a ratty looking truck or car but when you pop the hood it's that "Pulp Fiction" brief case moment.
This is exactly what I want to do with my truck idk if this is the same engine as my truck but if you can answer that for me I would really appreciate it I have a 1993 Chevy s10 2.8l manual is that the same engine as yours thanks ima watch your video now
Curious as to what total cost is for the build. Got a 93 2.8 5 speed and contemplating a small block swap. Must say that this looks interesting if the end result produces enough hp.
The blowers I have are not made any longer. As for the timing it was a suggestion from a friend that runs a blower. He said it would run better if I retarded it 2 deg. So far it runs great. Hope to drive it soon.
FageolSuperchargers.com there is some info there but I think they no longer exist. At least could never get in contact with anyone there. Hope that helps.
Also, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask. I have researched that blower for a while. There are a few things I found out. Just please subscribe and like. I will help all I can. 👍
@@theclark1814 you will get an email back that says call and they will help. I have been doing that for a while. Like I said. I think they are no longer in business. But I will help you along the best I can. 👍👋
I have been trying my best to find out what size blower I have. They make 3 sizes. Your guess is the same as mine. I can give you the numbers off mine. Maybe they are different?! Who knows.
I need one for my 86 Buick century 2.8
Prediction 180 to 220 HP
Really interested in that supercharger!! Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated!!
It puts out 5 pounds of boost at 5000 rpm’s and the company that made them are no longer in business. I bought it from a guy on facebook
Where do you get a blower for 2.8
I got it on a Facebook forum. It was there and I bought it. 👍
Thank you 👍
I like a nice 25% underdrive pully / balancer myself
This is my first time playing with a blower. Just letting a few people give me some guidance on how to get it done. She will be a little screamer!!!!
@@jbslittleshop2897 I don't doubt that it'll be fun!
Where you get the intake and blower at?

@@lollipop84858 well sir. If you watch all the videos it becomes self explanatory!!👍

Had a friend that had a lil supercharged 2.8
Did it run pretty good?

@@robertmcbeth5864 I’m hoping this thing hits at least 10s in the 1/8. It is 30 over with over sized valves and a big rowdy cam. So 🤞🤞

It’s getting painted. But I am moving forward sir. Hoping for the best. 👍👍👊
I have a 2.8 chevy v6 im going to rebuild and modify because its going into my 1972 vauxhall firenza
Why not build a 2.8 liter V6 engine they need some luv and some extra horsepower so it can run with the 3.8 and 4.3 liter V6 engines too
I got to dust a 3.8 at the race!! Also a few 383’s 👍👍
Why all the exasperated sighing? Dont like your job..?
@@lollipop84858 i appreciate you worrying about that. Is called asthma. It hits hard sometimes!!😂😂👍
that is a neat little engine. I think paint it, it should look like the gem that it is. be proud man great job

Happy with it so far. Still working on the truck. It’s almost ready to drive. Then I how much gains.
JB I'm dyin to build a 4200 vortec inline6 and drop it in a little s10 or chevy luv or maybe a 2dr Chevette.
That would be wicked as hell!!!

A chevy cobalt supercharger should be good, 3800 sc would probably be really powerful if running a chemical cooler for the boost
That's one cool little engine! I'd paint it Chevy orange and leave the blower natural aluminum!👍
Thank you sir. Still playing around. Got a way to go.
Paint the blower the same as in a 3800 SC application. Paint the engine red .
what intake manifold and supercharger did you use
I bought it from someone. The supercharger is a fogel if I remember right.

This engine was built a while back. I believe the engine and headers were around 3500.00 the supercharger was 900 used.
Where did you find a blower for a 2.8? I can’t find any
I bought it from a guy in a S10 forum a few years ago.
I definitely want to see the end result of this
I have a few questions where do I get the blower and why did you set the timing back I don’t know much but I know to know how to do it myself

May go that way. Was just thinking something a little different. But it will probably go that way. Lars hates yellow. 😂😂
if you can find a roller cam for it the regular sbc roller lifters fit and i think the rocker arms are the same
