I just bought me a 92 s10 tahoe package with 129k miles. Im the 2nd owner. I googled "1992 s10 2.8l headers" & had many examples to choose from with "guarenteed to fit" in descriptions. Gonna ask a shop tomorrow about headers & exhaust. I want to pull a small camper & i live in a lot of hill environment.
Yeah crazy you didn't seem to have as many problems as mine was running into but mine had been wrecked before so just maybe..... That could have some affect on it of the frame part who knows . I'll say the shifter off a 4×4 I thought of using cause they clear better but a shifter on the floor would probably be the best too on these . The oil filter housing I did think about swapping that out to but it actually worked with the two-wheel drive style so I didn't have a problem with the headers hitting that , u just have to use a shorter oil filter like wix from O'Reilly's and did the trick for that part . I ended up giving up and sold the headers sence my transmission died
@@troybrake5686 yes , use a 4×4 2.8 filter it's shorter and will fit and clear better . But I am useing headers I finally have a set that works , they are OBX brand raceing long tube headers and they fit perfectly
@@KnuckleHeadGarage27 yeah I want me a set also, there out of stock on Walmart we're they had them at Xmas for like 200 dollars, I was wondering how good they was, they have to be a lot better just being stainless alone! I have a fortune in these headmans and they still need cerakote. I have a trans adapt filter relocater but there prone to leaking! I really want a set of OBX and sell the junk I already have. Don't OBX have the y pipe also?
I seen on a forum awhile back that a floor shifter from a trailblazer will work on the 700r4 with minimal hassle! I'm not 💯 if it was a trailblazer though,it was something like that if not
I just dit a idea revisiting this video! When i put my motor in my truck i may do some fabing on the control arm and notch and plate the corner were the header almost touches the frame so i won't have to dent rhe headers , am gonna cerekot them so j don't wanna beat on them, i gave a 5 speed so i should be alright with the oil filter relocation
Hey man, thanks for posting this video. I have a couple of questions. I have an 83' 4 speed manual transmission and clutch. I also have 4 wheel drive hedman headers. After seeing your video. I realize they will not work. Wuestion: are you concerned with heating the oil in your filter to 1,000° from the proximity to the headers
For some reason I’m not getting your comments on my comment section. If we are talking about the headers then that should be a plus. The only thing that could get in the way is the throw out bearing lever. At least I think that’s right.

Hey man. Appeshiate the videos. What sort of redline rpm are you taking that thing to? And also what sort of boost are you getting? Just dropped a 2.8 with that same supercharger and a cam in a s10 and would love to hear numbers your working with. Cheers
@@jbslittleshop2897 So they don’t make regular header for 2wd what if you make 180• pipes like a 6-1 f1 exhaust that’s what i wanna make but I don’t know how to make headers and like what if I make them to long and the purge part of long tubes don’t work I really want long tubes but I really won’t f1 exhaust even more
That was a video with a wealth of information there my friend! I enjoyed it.
Thank you sir. I really try to give info where I can!! That’s what this is all about for me👍👍
Very informative video. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT
Thank you sir!! 👍👍
Remember when I was at Summit and I asked if you wanted a set of 2wd headers they had on the clearance shelf? 50$ but that was months agao
Yes sir. But they were for a camaro. They would never fit the S10. 👍👍
Nice video! Thanks for sharing! I did get something out of this video. Thanks!
Thanks!! Been trying for a few days to get time to do this video!!👍👍
Those headers look great in there!👍
Thanks sir. Not perfect but I got them in!!👍👍

JB i thought all headers were a pain in the butt

Hey CD I have a question?! So you say your oil filter cleared the headers, you just had to use a short filter?

I think i would wrap the headers in the spots where it gets close to the transmission lines. Just extra insurance 😊

Mine revs fine to 6000. I have no idea about how much boost. I haven’t installed a boost gauge yet. But it’s supposed to put out 5 pounds at 5000 rpm.
Damn there's 2 blowers out there in the world for 2.8, if there was only 1 more id probably buy it!
And the headers your talking about are they 2.8l 4w headers or 4.3l 4w headers
2.8
