I had this tape back in the 90s as a 10 year old kid. I still have my Braves blanket I got for Christmas that year, too. It was so great being a small town Georgia kid in the 90s.
Just hearing Pete Van Wieren takes me back to a more wholesome and innocent time. Ppl didn't care about cell phones or social media and the internet we just loved our Braves, and maaan it was good being a braves fan!!
I cant believe it has been 25 years. I was 7 years old and was was already a Braves fan for 2 years. Now I'm 31 and been a fan for quite a while. Still loyal.
I'm right there with you man. Being a Braves fan could lead to a heart condition, but that could be said about the Falcons, Bulldogs, etc. But you can bet your ass I won't ever pull for another team like I do for the Braves... I don't care if they lose 150 games, they're my team.
When I was a kid I looked up to these guys so much, I knew the names of almost all of the Braves roster. Now I'm in my mid 30s and it's so weird seeing guys like Chipper Jones and realizing how young they were!
Man I could have typed your whole comment.. I asked for this very movie for Christmas.. I spent hours mimicking greg madduxs windup .. and pretending I had wholers velocity....I played catcher in little league... Our rules didn't allow a leadoff from base, but 5 of us would get together after practice... We'd rotate at bats but I'd catch em all , and try to gun the guy down at first just like javy did.i got pretty good too. So good I got 3 guys on the way to second In our own championship game.
I was too young to have watched these seasons myself, but I found copies of the '91, '92 and '95 videos at local Goodwill stores. I was a bit of a curious George as a kid in that once I found interest in a subject, I wanted to know everything. So once I became an active Braves fan I wanted to know about all of these seasons the announcers would refer to.
Thanks for posting. I was 23 back in '95 what a great season. Good to see them take it all after a long wait it reminds me more of 1991 when the went worst to first. Lifelong fan since as early as I can remember watching them on Superstation

Right there with ya. As a kid in the 80's my summer soundtrack so to say was the voices of Pete and Skip, watching Dale in center and Bob at 3rd. Those were some pretty lean years as far as how good the team was, but my parents kept the superstation on regardless. Meant so much more watching them go from the cellar to the best team in baseball in 91 to champions in 95. I'm 45, and no matter how many places I've lived in over the years, they'll always be my team.

Getting this recommended by YT is a sign that 2023 Braves can do the same and win the whole thing. 2023 Braves is the best team in Baseball and making/breaking so many records and deserve to win the World Series.
Watching now in 2023. 31 years old i was 3 when the braves won this world series. Family all braves fans. This year reminds me of the 91-94 braves. Making it to the playoffs but losing early with amazing talent... Braves, if youre watching 2024 is your season again!
So, game 3 of the NLCS just ended and I’m here. I vaguely remember 95. I was 9 and wasn’t quite there yet. Postseason baseball is agonizing and I sure hope I get to see these braves win it all one day. For now I’ll just see what I recall from this one.
Rafael Belliard & Javier Lopez, two of the most humble guys I've ever met. And then Chipper, man I remember striking up a conversation with my brother & Dad alongside in single A ball when he played for the Macon Braves. He was sitting on top of the dug out & the conversation started about this monstrous 3-run homerun he had hit over this towering left field wall just the night before in Fayetteville, NC. The Macon Braves were the visiting team to the Fayetteville Generals. But we were all 3 die hard Atlanta Braves fans already. And after the conversation that lasted about 15-20 minutes leading right up to game time, I remember hearing from my Dad on that night back in 1991 him saying....."That guy is gonna be in the Majors & is gonna something to watch in the Majors". OMG he couldn't have called out his career anymore perfect.
Man I just left a comment like this in another video basically naming all my fond memories of the braves and all the guys I looked up to growing up and all. And I’ll say this again like I did on the other video, if we had all the guys I remember as braves growing up like Chipper, Andruw (who I wish would have won one with us honestly, ion things he did right?), Marcus Giles, Furcal, Julio Franco (one of my fav batting stances lol), Maddox, glavine, smoltz(who was always my favorite pitcher forever), Ryan Langerhans, Javy. Like if we had these guys today in their prime I feel the braves would win another 10 WS lol. But yeah, I wanna go see a braves game so badly, but I have no way to go sadly and have no car and no job, life is horrible atm, though I live in Mississippi and the Braves minor league team is only like 2.5 hours from me, again I have no way to go see them lol, but when I do I’m deff going to go see me some baseball. Though I much rather go to Atlanta lol, the one here in Mississippi is a great stadium and atmosphere tbh, it’s one of the better minor league stadiums I’ve been to anyway.
And quick question. I just made this comment in this video, but I’m so confused, @10:09 he said he struck out 4 men in the same inning ti get his 2nd save, please explain to me how that is even possible lol.
@@drewgamezzz8482 he struck out a guy that still reached on a passed ball that was likely swung at. Even though the out wasn't recorded, it still gets counted as a strikeout if the pitcher fans the batter. It's up to the catcher to get the out at that point & he didn't likely because it was a play that he couldn't get him out.
