Did anyone else catch that “Bass X” spinning rod? This is why I trust them, dude has $1,000 combos but actually uses budget gear as long as it’s quality. It proves that they aren’t just pushing people through their Tackle Warehouse link to make a buck, but putting real time in to finding solid gear for guys that are on a budget. Bravo gentlemen. 👊🏻

2 weeks ago I couldn't keep them out of the boat. This weekend skunked. They wouldn't hit, crank, jerk , or lipless jig. Baitfish suspended at 8-10 in 12 -15 ft of water. The gulls are back and even they were frustrated trying to get to the bait. Water temps 62. Have heard about underspins and felt like they were hype. Well Matt I'm going to go get some before the next front moves in. lol thanks from North Texas.

Been throwing underspins for the past 2 years from your videos and caught good small mouth and largemouth on it. This year I started throwing the screw head while pre fishing for a tournament, we were in between an island and the shore and saw the water moving like there was heavy current in a lake. Throw a screw head and a 2.8 keitech out there and within 2 reel turns I hook up on a big smallie and marked a nice school and had insane confidence ever since

The only problem with the screwhead is that little rubber cup that holds the spinner in place. After about 3 or so catches, it slips back. We're constantly having to super glue it in place. Megabass really needs to use like light wire wound instead.

  • @stoneysdead689

I love under spins- I fish them year round pretty much, and kill with them more often than not. But I'm always looking for the perfect swimbait for each situation- the new Deps Frilled Shad is the shit for colder water guys- I'm telling you. It has a very tight, subtle, realistic action and it's super soft so it keeps working even in truly cold water. I don't know if it's just that it's a different action that they've not seen or what but, it really works well. Next tie you try an underspin and you're not getting the bites you want- try a frilled shad or a fluke- something with very little action. On days when they're not in the mood sometimes a blade spinning and a paddle tail kicking is too much- get rid of the paddle tail and you'll start getting bit.

And how does the activity level of the bass get affected by those different water temperatures?Reebs you’ve already made a video of this. Could you point me in that direction.
