As someone who has been installing garage doors for 8 years, you dont need to spray the center shafts of the hinges. That doesnt really do much. On either end of the shaft of the hinges, the top and bottom of the hinge overlap and grind on eachother. Thats where you want to spray. A little spray inside the shaft can prevent squeaking from the roller against the hinge aswell. The only other thing I would say is avoid spraying the outside 2 inches on either end of the spring. Saturate the middle of the spring, but if you get too much on the ends, you risk the coil unbinding from the cast iron cones that hold the spring in place, ultimately ruining the spring and you will have to replace it. Also, there are metal bearings on the plates that hold the spring tube in place, those can get lubed aswell.
