"This video is an absolute game-changer! The tip about using high speed for wood and low speed for metal is incredibly useful. It's amazing how such small adjustments can make such a big difference in the results. Thanks for sharing these practical tricks!"
For the most part, the video is very helpful. When drilling through steel, use slow speed as you have shown but also use bees' wax or a drop of cutting oil to extend the life of the drill. At 6:25 you should use vise grips to hold the cap (or disc or washer) to keep it from rotating and preventing possible injury. At 9:30 the zip ties with dowel is a great idea and along with that you could use a 3/16" center punch (or drift punch) and poke about 4 to 6 holes along the rim of the paint can so that excess paint along the rim can drip back into the paint can. At the same time you could have shown how to make a dowel using the electric hand drill but that could be for your next vid. They say "genius is common sense applied" and you are there. THANKS for your vid and keep them coming. If 2 or 3 tips are helpful then you are successful so press on.

This video is a game-changer! The way you explain everything makes it so easy to follow, and I love the variety of ideas you shared. Definitely trying these out! 💯🙌
These tricks are going to save me so much time on my DIY projects! I never knew there were so many ways to use a drill effectively. Definitely trying these next time!
This video is a really useful resource for those who love or are learning about using a drill. The tricks introduced in the video are not only very diverse but also very practical and highly applicable. This helps viewers improve their skills in using a drill, from basic things like assembly, maintenance to more complex techniques. Thanks to the creator for sharing
"These tips are fantastic! It’s amazing how small adjustments, like changing drill speed for different materials, can make such a big difference. I had no idea that using a wrench could help with getting precise 90-degree angles. Thanks for sharing these practical tricks! 🌟🔧"
Thanks CH. My takeaway from your video is to think through the job. If it's a small job--most of mine are--use the supplies on hand to build the tool you need. No need to go out and buy a tool for a job you'll only do every now and then.
The tip at 02:58 about not drilling at too high a speed and never changing speed while the drill is running was super helpful! It's something I hadn't considered before, and it definitely improves control and precision. Thanks for sharing this awesome tip!
The numbered settings on the drill collar refer to the torque, not the speed. It's still a good tip though; when screwing smaller screws, use a low torque. And use a low speed by not pulling the trigger very much
The maddest suggestion is the folded Post-It note to catch SOME of the dust from the drilling of a hole in the wall. Use a dustpan and brush - it’s easier and you won’t look like a crazy person.
Luv the ring spanner, tooth pick and paint stirrer. Seeing using the slow speed for steel, reminded be that I used to drill stone with a fast speed which rapidly wore out the masonry bits. Then I realized I should use a slow speed.
Very helpful and nice to watch as well. One thing that was not clear to me is : when you connect the contraptions to the drill you don't actually tighten them, instead start spinning it and they adjust with the rotation?
The video in general is good, but there are two ideas that I do not share. Using the key to calculate a 90° angle seems incorrect to me, since it is not reliable, it is better to use a level, and on the other hand, the internal notches of the key suffer wear and will not be suitable for the use for which they are intended. Please, don't let anyone sharpen a knife with the method in the video. For those of us who understand knives, doing that is outrageous and will ruin the blade. Use water or oil stones and control the sharpening angle, although there are other methods as well. But never the one in this video. Greetings.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I understand and appreciate your point of view on this matter. Regarding knife sharpening, I will take note and be more careful in the following videos.
7:57 Yes OK use a drill to save time to get the car jack to touch the underside of the vehicle. But there's no way a hand drill, with no leverage, is going to to able to generate enough torque to actually lift the vehicle.
1/15 Do not hold the screw tight when drilling. Instead pre-drill a hole. So you can wear gloves. 2/15 The drill has two functions. On gear 1 it's for screwing (lower speed, higher torque)(also be sure to set to the numbers on the wheel) and gear 2 is for drilling (higher speed, lower torque)(also be sure to set to the drill symbol on the wheel). 4/15 The numbers on the wheel define the torque, not the drill speed 5/15 And half of the dust lands on the ground. Instead hold a vacuum cleaner near it or better look for an attachment for the drill or the wall to suck the dust. 6/15 refer to 2/15 14/15 There already are attachable nylon brushes for drills around. They are not expensive. Same goes for steel brushes. 15/15 You can also sharpen knifes by slicing the blades of 2 knifes against each others, like chefs do it. Or buy a grinding stone or a knife sharpener.
Hack1: don't use flexible gloves. You can use gloves if the are harder (of leather, for example). It is sure normally it doesn't make sense to use glove to put a screw Hack 8: the real hack to cut from inside. The cap, not so much: you can buy cheaply better saw disks to use in the same way You are a cordless drill maniac. You don't need use a drill to do everything

The first one sent me 🤣🤣 don’t use gloves… if you only don’t wear one on the hand holding the screw, you’ll be just fine. Either that or theres gloves that don’t have that rubber grip and are more on the smooth edge and those won’t hurt you either tbh.

Remove the magnet to clean the dish. No 3 makes no sense to me. I NEVER drill horizontal holes for hanging things, but drill downward into the wall. this causes the nail, etc to angle upward. Nothing ever falls off the walls in my house, even during a heavy tremor.

Great observation! Slower speeds do help preserve tools longer.

That's a great question! You are right, some of the contraptions adjust as they are rotating.

I didn't know not to wear gloves is a trick 😮
It’s a small trick, but sometimes it can make things easier! Do you have any favorite DIY hacks?
I think the trick is to wear them and keep all of your digits.
It’s common habit in Vietnam, and not tightening car seat belt as well

New generation hand drills are very strong now.
Keep your protective gloves on. Use a bit holder with a rotating sleeve.

If you don't use an ammonia-based cleaning LIQUID SOAP (not CREAM), as a coolant and lubricant whilst drilling into metals, you will never appreciate what a superb addition to your work it is! I have tried almost everything, but this beats everything else on the market. Bits remain cool through the toughest jobs, retain their edges much longer and a few drops go a long way. If you place a plastic container under the work to catch any drips, place a magnet under the dish for iron-based metals. Then pour off the clean fluid and reuse it. Remove the magnet to clean the dish.
No 3 makes no sense to me. I NEVER drill horizontal holes for hanging things, but drill downward into the wall. this causes the nail, etc to angle upward. Nothing ever falls off the walls in my house, even during a heavy tremor.
