I am a fan of the original movie, and I very much appreciated the Redgrave version which was creepy and plausible enough to stay with me for years. Would love to see the entire movie again--thank you for posting.
Love this retelling. Only saw it once at a party of gay men who all hissed at it...well, all except me. Loved it then and still keep looking for it in its entirety. Thank you for these clips!
I would love to see the whole movie, it looks really good. If anyone is into them, I recommend the commentary for the original on DVD, very insightful.
I like it. It is a slightly different take on the classic. These actresses are pros they obviously knew what they were doing. I mean it would be hard to play so much anamosity if you are real sisters and love each other. It is easy enough to play it, like Davis and Crawford, if the hate is real.
wow after watching this clip, I'm quite interesteed to see this version. I have a feeling Jane is going to be very interesting to watch, and it looks like it's going to be a good performance.
Sisters Redgrave, superb actresses, cannot make a dismal screenplay slow and too rhapsodic to keep up pace with original. Let's face it- - when I've Written A Letter to Daddy is scrapped the film is in trouble.
The original film is a work of art on every level from the camera angles to the music, the acting and the sets. This version just doesn't work on any level at all. It's SO bad and embarrassing for the Redgraves. Just awful.
The Redgraves are I suppose 'clever' casting because they are real life sisters - I think it was foolish of them to allow themselves to be exploited like this for such an ill-advised project. Why re-make a classic movie? It's a classic for a reason - it cannot be bettered!

That REALLY made me sick. The rats in the original cracked me up because it was so over the top, but this version just creeped me out.

@danalamb3 watch the original... i know some people have issues with black and white films but believe me it is 10x better than this
This is so fucking bad ! Why would you remake a classic
What a piss poor remake it's embarrassing awful actors couldn't do this movie justice if there lives depended on it

Terrible - !
Now, that's just lowdown!!! The original movie with Betty Davis and Joan Crawford was just as worse.
