That's so sad Matraca didn't get credited for her vocal performance of this song. She DOES have a great voice!

If you watch carefully you will notice the film grain and lighting suddenly change mid scene where Kelly McGillis is walking down the pavement, realises Timothy Hutton is close and turns around. The original film ending was they never found each other but following screen test audiences unhappy with it the studio forced the director Alan Rudolph to change it to a happy ending. The film would have been even more powerful with the original ending. In life we dont all meet our soulmate. I'm 56 and like Timothy Hutton said in the film ' there is someone in my life but I haven't found her yet'. Good luck to everyone looking for that special person.

I watch this movie at least once a year, its such a beautiful romantic movie, that I believe bombed at the box office, but it was such a different kind of movie, I think people just didn't get it. It also has Debra Winger playing as Emmett, a lot of folks don't realize she had a part in it. I adore this movie, and I wish more people knew about how amazing it was <3

Who would have ever thought that Hunny Bunny would graduate from holding up coffee shops to producing pop music?

They keep remaking a star is born, so why bother, but they do. It's the storyline, it can still happen, even today. It's never about topping the previous version. Instead of 2 sisters, how about 2 brothers , now that would be interesting. What do you think.

She'd be a hit in 2022. People would be telling her how brave and fierce she is "YAAAASS QUEEEN!"- would go wild when she came out on stage. The drag queen would cause an even bigger sensation. She was just born in the wrong era.

I have often wonder why they focus on this gal at end of this scene, she seem to feel sorry for Jane. She is living her childhood memory, being her present his depressing, just Jane's present. Jane was a big star when she was little, and like many former child stars longing to make a come back. She had been gone too long and is now a joke, even in a gay bar, gays can be cruel too.

I love and miss Burt Reynolds...one of a kind.

Martha Davis is an incredible vocalist, but I prefer Berg's version. There's just something about how she performs the vocals. The studio should've just released the soundtrack with her version. They were probably wanting to go with a "bigger" name. Big mistake.
