Ok.....first time seeing a corn casserole without Jiffy corn meal. I'll try this one
this is the best corn pudding I have ever try..it is my 3rd year doing this recipe for holidays..my family loves it

This was the best corn casserole I’ve ever tried, and believe me I’ve tried a lot of them. It makes a big casserole, so when I made it up, I halved it up and put the other half in the freezer. Wala side dish in a wink. Just thaw and bake.😋
I tried this recipe for Thanksgiving and OMG!!! It was the Best corn pudding that I have ever tried. Everyone loved it!!! This will be my new recipe from now on. Thank you sir for this recipe.
I used your recipe to corn casserole for the very first time ever. It was used to feed about 60 homeless people along with turkey sandwiches, fruit and water. I thought it was good and plan to make this again. Those I gave it out to also gave their compliments. I'm saving it for future use.
I enjoyed this recipe and I'm definitely going to make this. Grandma 's recipes are always best.

I made this with homemade creamed corn and fresh corn and it came out so great
I think that’s how my Granny made it too. She almost always cooked completely from scratch since we always had fresh corn available. This guy’s recipe is only semi-homemade since he’s using canned cream corn and frozen kernel corn.

Thanks! This is close to a recipe I’m familiar with. I cut the recipe in half and separated the eggs, whip the egg whites into light peaks and fold in last. Also, 2 tblspns of heavy cream. This is for corn custard recipe. Delicious!

Made this yesterday for Thanksgiving, and it really IS quick, easy and the best I think I've ever made. Throw that box of Jiffy cornbread mix away ~ unless you just love that stuff, but this is the real deal, and it's light, delicious and perfect for a meal that has a lot of heavy sides. This just rounds the menu out, and I will always include this one from now on for my Thanksgiving feast! Thank you!!!

Thank you so much my grandmother used to make this and she passed and l surveyed my relatives but no one remembered the recipe l do remember her putting it in a water bath so that the steam actually cooked the pudding
Ernesta Walker, I cook it this way to. It is more like a corn custard. The corn is on the bottom and the custard is on top.

I added another 1/2-1 cup of sugar, 2TBSP of vanilla, and drizzled some extra melted butter on top(before cooking it)…It came out good! I doubled the recipe and put into (3) 8x8 pans.

I was really excited watching you make this...waiting for the "Jiffy mix" to go in...I thought "where is it...Did I miss him putting it in?" Played Vid again. Hummm OMG !!! I guess one could use canned whole corn, drained good instead of frozen ..right? Great recipe, thanks.

That is how I make mine but I add a little cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground cloves. Yummy!!

It would be a really good idea to thaw out that frozen corn before adding it to the recipe because it retains a lot of water when it's frozen.
You would have a point *IF* it turned out runny, but it didn't so don't see any benefit of thawing it out.
@@markweiler3335 s he made a point because frozen corn globs up the mix. lol
My Name I put mine together the night before cooking, stuck it in the fridge and cooked the next day. The thawing of the whole kernel corn truly makes no difference.

This is like the recipe for a crustless coconut custard pie. Based on that, I would call it a Corn Custard. Looks delicious.

Up North we make a version of this with crushed saltine crackers in it and only use creamed corn with no sugar. Top it with crushed fritos and bake
