Buttermilk Syrup: 1/2 c butter, 1 cup buttermilk, 1 cup sugar
bring all ingredients to a rolling boil
remove from heat, add 1 tsp vanilla & 1 tsp baking soda
Stir until frothy and enjoy!

If you store celery &/or herbs in foil (in the fridge), they last way longer. :)

That is a really big fridge/freezer for a camper! My friends use reese's dark peanut butter thins as the choclate in rheir deluxe s'mores. Have a great trip!

OMgawd! Mini loaf pans! I’m really surprised you don’t add random stuff to your Amazon store, like a loaf pan….can you only add things you’ve bought on Amazon yourself 🤔? I’m going to have to buy one of these. I love the mini loaf! I’m going silicone though.
Surprised nothing was freeze dried… oh! Remember to leave your freeze dryer door open (mold can grow there) too.

Is your pickle powder dill? I’ve eaten FD dill pickles but they were very salty. What are your feelings? Enjoy your trip. Stay safe!
Yes they were dill pickles and I couldn’t eat them!! Too salty. I’ve heard you should rinse them off in water before FD and it’s MUCH better. That’s why I powdered mine down; too salty and potent to eat in pickle form haha

Would you tell me how you bought your freeze drier. I just tried to get one on line and they wanted over $900 for shipping! I'm in Wasilla, by the way.
It’s so expensive to ship to Alaska 😫 - I bought mine at a tactical shop in Anchorage called Weka Tactical, I’d try calling them and see if they have any in stock! Sportmans warehouse sells them also in store but I think they go fast up here, that’s another place to try. I see them for sale every so often on fb marketplace as well

@@DIYfreezedry Just found them at 3 Bears. They have medium and large sizes. Anyone wanting a large one needs to keep in mind that they may need to have some electrical work done to accommodate it's power requirements.
