Check out Frank Enea's music for more '60s sounds!! ruclips.net/video/TLcp4K2azpw/видео.html
This is my nephew. He’s about 17 here. A true lover of 60s music. Super talented and a great guitarist too!
Alan Price would be proud 😊
This is the best person on RUclips who plays the closest to the original Animals sound. Respect, really, really good.
I still have my Vox Continental my brother bought for me almost 60 years ago! love still sounds great and retro cool!
Nice clean tone. Wooden keys. Nice to see from their side. Pristine-looking Continental. Thanks.
I would not mind having one of those in my stack. Would give me some nostalgic abilities.
The Vox Organ was a keyboard that reigned supreme when The British Invasion hit full force here in America. Most of these songs the keyboard 🎹 player “Knocked most of these songs out of the ballpark”. I’m Crying 😭 he certainly did justice to this particular song 🎵. Thanks for the way you played these songs. You deserve a thumbs 👍 up.
Hey wow, this medley was super fun to listen to, crazy nostalgic too. Young Jagger here played it all so effortlessly, very smooth
touched the soul man ! Just touched the senses ! 😳
Absolutely fantastic! Love all these Classics, I grew up with them, this young talented man does a great job bringing back fantastic memories ❤
Cool vid and keyboard skills. I would love to get myself a continental some day. The spooky energy that lives inside the sound it makes is awesome.
Thank you for the trip on your musical time tunnel. Ur probably a great golfer, too!
With this music alan price made sure that his death won t be the end of his existence...
Wow … just came across this … FANTASTIC!!!! Love it!! UR GOOD! Hope ur playing professionally somewhere😄
A very cool demo
I own one as well. Ray Manzarek of the Doors used it on their first two albums.
Nailed it perfectly. 😏
So good
Very nice. And that Vox Continental is in great shape!
Cool!
WOW.
Very vintage!! Gotta love the sounds of the Vox. I see when he isn't playing he must be out golfing? Nice! Keep playing these awesome songs of the 60's era! I tip my hat to your keen interest in keeping these good 'ole tunes alive!
Thank you!! 🎹
This makes me happy
Thanks Liam - your playing is great....very authentic!
The Vox Continental !
Wow, amazing job Liam!! I've just never been able to nail that manic, frantic, Alan Price style but you are spot on. So cool.
Thank you so much, Chris! I’ve watched your videos for quite a while and your performances and quality of recordings are fantastic!
excellent tone, timing and feel! perfect
A video with no dislikes? Wow, that means we really enjoyed this video!
This is freaking awesome, man! You should've played Worried Life Blues though, maybe next video?
Maaan, thanks a lot for this synth section , will use it as a backing track for my guitar. Respect from Siberia 💪🏻
Superb
Lindamente executado!
Parabéns bro!
Nice tune❤

Awesome! Love it. Brings back fond memories.
That’s awesome, Tom! I’m glad!
Killed it... this thing is incredible!!
OMG! And it sounds almost exactly how it did when Ellen Price played it! I'm getting the chills just hearing that. I appreciate it even more now than ever.
Err…it was Alan Price, not Ellen Price.
This is it !
This is great.
It sounds very good! Thanks for your demonstration!
This is so fantastic!
Incredible. Alan and Dave would be proud! I personally like “Bring It On Home” and “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstand”!
Thank you so much my friend!
Very cool. Thanks for making this video.
What a sound brother! Great job.
Most excellent!
Thanks for posting this.
Thank you for checking it out!!
@@LiamEnea Cheers!
In 1983, I got a VOX Continental from a local church that was shutting down!
6:15 Says Liam Jagger at the end. Probably one of Mick Jaggers 8 kids.
Bro yes 🙌🏼 I love playing stuff as close to the original as possible too. Nicely done
That's AWESOME, man!!! Perfect!!!
Thank you so much man!! I had no idea there was a whole community out there looking to hear this music!
@@LiamEnea it's still very popular, my friend... even here in Brazil! You did a great job... congratulations!!!
que hermoso organo y que sonido
I want one! The Doors, The Animals and The Specials all used them. My 3 favourite bands!!
This and the farfisa were the best sound ever an organ could have.
This is awsome and if you could do it from a top down angle it would be great so i could learn it easily
I like how your low f sounds like a regal :)
Nicely done, wish I could see how your were playing I’m Crying
Nice playing and I love the sound.
Thank you, Charles!
nice!
Honestly
An amazing player on the best organ makes some amazing sounds!
Congratulations on the skill
Thank you so much man!!
Nice man, just watching this video again since your probably the ONLY one who can actually play these classics by The Animals, playing them right that is. I should learn some of The Animals but Alan Price is just a it too hard for me to play. That fast playing is something i struggle with. Awesome job though!
Thank you so much man! I love your playing, Alan Price just does a lot of blues riffs that sound complicated but are easier than they look lolol
@@LiamEnea No problem man and yeah that figures
I absolutely love the sound of the vox continental, especially on the animals songs and you nailed it here! If you don’t mind me asking how much was your vox organ and are there any affordable keyboards you would recommend to get a similar sound?
At Last.. I'm looking for this, can you make another video on "house of the rising sun" full version 🙌
Thank you so much, Thomas! I’m working on miming to a track of the recording, but if you go to my video “The Animals - 1960s Covers,” my full cover of the song is on there!
Very nice! Is it English, or Italian made?
Stu Pendous Music Thank you! The Vox is an English model.
you've done it so awesome! but are you planing on making making any tutorials on the songs? i would love to learn your work by paper sheets or just thru a youtube tutorial :)
The most authentic Animals sound I've heard!!!
Would you be kind enough to tell us the drawbar settings and amp settings you are using?
I think you are using the same setting on every song?
Thank you so much, man!
On every song, the 16’ drawbar is fully extended. The 8’ drawbar is usually at 6, and the 4’ drawbar is either closed or at 2. The IV drawbar, however, I adjust based on the song, as it most influences the organ’s shrill tone. For example, on “House” or “Misunderstood,” the IV drawbar is at a 6. But for “Bring It on Home to Me,” and “We Gotta Get Out of this Place” the drawbar is pushed in, with the 4’ at half way.
For the sine and sawtooth waves, I usually keep the sine fully way extended and adjust the sawtooth as an internal volume based on the amp I’m running through.
I think the airy motif of The Animals’s sound on a Vox Continental, along with The Doors, is keeping the 4’ drawbar closed or barely open.
On the tube amp, a Fender Super Champ X2, I mic’d it with a single dynamic microphone to the mid-ring of the cone on a low volume (3), with treble and bass at ten. This amp, unfortunately, does not go to eleven. Lol. The organ is running clean into the amp and I placed no effects on it. All the reverb heard in this recording is artificial; I mixed it in Audacity. The built-in DAW reverb I used had the “Stereo” feature tuned to 100% along with “Room Size” at 85% and a host of other high settings to help give the relatively tinny organ this larger sound.
I’m so glad you enjoyed this!!
@@LiamEnea Thank-you,thank-you for taking the time to give all this detail. It's priceless info. Most people seem to set their Connies with all drawbars full out. I've been watching your other videos. You have a real feel for the Vox. I hope you keep playing.
What kind of mic is that?
gonna have to try and find myself a Continental for a decent price, and not one of those fancy new ones i can’t seem to understand
Amazing!!!! What type of amp do you connect it to??
Does the Vox have vacuum tubes. I heard you have to let it warm up 30 minutes before you play it??
Transistor organ sir!
Any chance of "I'm gonna change the world"...???
Ah man, I wish I did that one! I am thinking about making a part two to this video and will include that!!
Can you do an overhead shot of the keyboard so I can see all the notes you are playing? Kind of tough from the side. And a shot of the drawbars.
What drawbar settings are you using for house of the rising sun?
Hey man, I set the organ to:
16’ - Fully extended
8’ - 6
4’ - 2
IV - 3
@@LiamEnea Thanks a lot.
so these instruments were never velocity sensitive were they?
Cuanto cuesta un órgano así??
0:48
How about -doing -----worried life blue's
Hello,i have the same vox,I would like to know the real cost because they valued it only 500€.Thanks
Hi! I would evaluate it at about four times that amount depending on condition. These are really cool instruments!
@@LiamEnea thanks. Where can I see the price of the organ on the internet? Because it is very rare and I can't find it. Does the price start at least 1500 €?
And Di I would look on Reverb.com or eBay! That sounds like the right price, but I would go higher. Can you make a demonstration video for RUclips?
And Di I would look on eBay or Reverb!
$2,000 for a good one. The one he is playing does have a few lower notes with out full throated sound. Needs repair of transistors. There is a guy in PA that can fix that.
Great job but how about wooly bully watch it now 😮
Εκπληκτικο
With this music alan price made sure that his death won t be the end of his existence...
